Golden Mussel larvae are microscopic, floating freely in the water. As they mature, they settle on surfaces to develop into the actual mussel form. So there’s nothing to grind - the larvae get anywhere, and through everything, with the regular water flow. They then attach and clog up pipes etc.

Stopped by on a Monday and Saturday and they were closed. Nobody answering the phone, either. I think they’re closed - heard several times that the closed salmon runs really hurt the business, and selection had been way down. Sucks.
