Congrats to Alton Jones but yet another year goes by and Aaron Martens seems not be getting the patterns until the final day. Was to late lately to get into the top five.....Good luck Aaron maybe next year's Classic will finally be yours!
Indeed, Kenny and Cheryl were both fine hand-pour specialists, my prayers as well as many who came to Kenny's garage to stock up will be praying for her and their family as well. God Bless you both!
Even guys like Socalbasser and ColeBass (Dave Cole) whom both I had just "had words" with were classy enough guys to put that behind them and give me words of encouragment and their condolences. Pete, I like you know the respect and admiration we feel for our fathers and mothers. Parents ...
My condolences to you Pete and also to your family as well, although we had a heated discussion about Aaron Martens...I can't but think about how much your dad meant to you. God Bless you and take care of you and your family members as well.
I never said anything about you not liking Aaron. Nor did I claim to be anyone's "homer" or "...question and belittle" your opinion. In fact, I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT YOU! Take your Ritalin and read my post again, Dude. I'm outa here. I'm with you Ron C on this one....and I s...
I dont think Aaron will finish in the top 5 in this years classic. I dont think this tournament is in Aarons wheel house. 8) Pete 8) Sorry to differ with you Pete Marino, how can you be from Southern California and not root for Aaron , no matter what ...you must have some insight..."not to fin...
Do you guys think Aaron Martens can finally get that 2nd Place monkey off his back at the upcoming Bassmaster Classic at Lake Toho? It might take a hefty sack? Any thoughts???
Does anyone know who and on what dates they will be speaking at the Bass Tank? In past years I've heard some really good info at the International Sportsman's Exposition (ISE) , during their run in the Fairplex at Pomona.
I asked this one earlier but no response, with the Bassfan/FLW alliance with the TBF, is FLW the only vehicle the pros will be recognized or will BASS recognize them? In other words can they transition to BASS as well?
I think that was a back-handed compliment of some sort.  Yes, we're very aware that the "old" site has B.A.S.S. sprinkled throughout. It's not a matter of search n replace to remove BASS references. If I did the site would look like swish cheese and be awkward to use. Ther...
This is all well and good TonyS but you need to remove any and all references to B.A.S.S., the organization since BassFan/FLW is the parent organization. The California Bass Federation site still has B.A.S.S. all over it. Since TBF is also a separate entity does it have a distinctive logo? SoCalBass...
BigJeff, Don't you think it's a bit verbose, geeesh....okay you win with that "Nation" thing....I'm with the Steela's for two reasons: The Bus is from the Detroit area (hometown) and I think it's time for Coach Bill Cowher to come away a winner instead of an also ran! SoCalBasser 8)
JB, it's Don Rucks not Al like in Grout..... your friendly neighborhood bass boat insurance man ...what a shameless plug! And as for Steeler Nation I have to differ with who stole whose "Nation" tag as most NFL fans know you'll get more RaiderNation votes as opposed to Steeler Nation...exc...
Hey, I've heard of the "RaiderNation" but what the hell is the "B.A.S.S. Federation Nation" as seen on the Bassmaster Insider site and what does B.A.S.S. think they will accomplish with a fragmented California BASS federation chapter? If anyone knows please advise..... SoCalBasse...
I'd ask Ray Scott what he was thinking when he sold BASS to ESPN. Actually it was lot of $$$$ when he sold BASS to Helen Sevier and company who then sold it ESPN....but I guess he did a 180 and is again part of the Wonderful World of Disney ...look for Mickey and gang to be at the Classic this year...
I would ask Greg Hackney this question.... If you could have 1 bait to use year round across the country what would it be and why? 1 follow up question... What color would you use for that 1 bait across the country? If you were at last year's Bass-a-thon you'd know the answer...I think someone aske...
Does this mean that The Bass Federation in California is strictly an FLW deal and will only be recognized by FLW or will B.A.S.S. be used as a vehicle for upcoming pros as well?
Can't put 250 boats on the water at DVL like they can at Clearlake....the MWD won't allow it! Plus they burn cleaner on DVL as opposed to Clearlake, Merc's that is!
Just got back from this year's installment of Angler's Marine 19th Annual Bass-a-thon and let me say a great time was had by all... George Cochran, Byron "Bass Center" Velvick, Greg Hackney, Bill Dance, Gary Yamamoto were the seminar speakers and once again The Louisiana Seafood Company pr...
If you want to be blown away by the latest Japanese bass tackle and also the price... try Fishing 25, they also have a meager website: fishing25.com.....I was amazed when I went into that small (by our standards) shop in Gardena but haven't been to the new location on 118 S. Western Avenue, Los Ange...
As I stated in the Open Rebuttal thread " gk's " job is to create interest be it good or bad. And by the amount of people reading the column he did his job. One thing I can say first hand is that he reads his email and does respond and is not afraid to use the landline or cell phone if nee...
I agree with Topwater Terry, take George Kramer up on his offer....I'll bet he only offers a select few a chance to hear his myriad of stories and antidotes. If not, it will definately be a lost opportunity.
Just read a story from the Daily Bulletin in the Inland Empire that Bass Pro Shops is hoping to open a store in the Victoria Gardens mall area in 2007. Now you won't have to go to Las Vegas to visit a
local Bass Pro Shops.
I'm with you in regards to George Kramer and his column....but you've lost sight of what his job is...he tell you this himself...its to create interest, be it good or bad. At least you read his column. I think he did his job......right?
Hey everybody, Aaron Martens is a nominee for the 2005 ESPY Award . Cast your vote for him on the site, go to google and type in "2005 ESPY awards". He's up against a lumberjack, a female runner and Takahiro Omori, the 2004 Bassmaster Classic winner. Our boy Aaron should be a shoe in. The ...
I haven't talked with Ken in years, does he still live in Covina? Oh what ever happened to Lonnie and his American hand pours?? His greenie weenie reapers were the ticket for many years. Does he still fish with the Backlashers? It's been years.....haven't seen these guys in so long
Just leafed through the latest WON, So. Cal edition that just hit the rack today and noticed on page 5 that a 19-4 largemouth was caught from shore by a 66-year old heart patient from LA... WOW , if that didn't get his heart pounding I guess nothing will...move over Mike Long for the "geriatric...
I spoke to the membership people still in Montgomery, Alabama about the additional cost of the BASS Insider option and they said that they are still trying to figure out what to charge the current members and that the $69.00 is for new members. She mentioned that it wouldn't be more than let's say 3...
In answer to your questions: Yes, no and it seems that your initial membership is only for the Bassmaster subscription, or have they taken that away as well? What happened to the "short-lived" friendly membership approach? I'll just ride my membership out, since they have to pay fo...
Did anyone happen to catch the interview with Mike Long on the Loudmouth Bass show on ESPN2 at 4:40am this morning? Jay Kumar (COO of BassFan) and Mark Zona are the hosts. Wasn't able to get out on the water this morning so I turned on the tube. Mike Long made mention that he doesn't think he'll be ...
