Stripes are in the area. Best area has been Courtland to Walnut grove. The Sacramento Turning Basin is really the unsung hero here as there continues to be stripes caught there by lure tossers. Hair Jigs and small shad patterned swim baits are the top choices here as well. Bank anglers Pile worms and cut baits prevail.

Stable weather and moderate tides have limited the results of many anglers heading to the Isleton area this past week. Although as the temperatures cooled a bit this week and the smallmouth bite is on the upswing. Smallmouth are a great target species this time of year that can help you beat the summer doldrums . Strike King Crankbaits and Plastics are good choices here for the hard fighting smallies. Won’t be long and the focus here will change to salmon.

Black bass bite is at a consistent yet, tougher than normal bite. While last week the talk was of Better post spawn fish swallowing the Big Worm. Many are sticking Bullworms and Yamamoto Senko’s paired with Tsuyoi Wacky Hooks. We are seeing a few big Black Bass with ¾ ounce Jigs. Others looking to score are starting to Toss DDO Fat Bluegill.

Dan’s Delta Outdoors Presents The Black Bass Tournament Series | Results June 19
We had another solid tournament with many new faces in the field. Marc Young and Dave Newton have been with us all year and the reaction bite was able to elevate them to the top in this event. Frogs were key to their success which netted them big fish for the day of 7.75 pounds and a 25.24 pound limit. With Options and 380.00 in Big fish money they made 2147 dollars for the victory.

Delta Report…Great Weather for #FishOakley as Male and Female teams Anglers from throughout California head to on Father’s Day at Big Break the 3rd Stop of the Dan’s Delta Tournament Series which will include Father’s Day BBQ for participating anglers and their families .

With just two tournaments in the books there’s still time to get TOC qualified. Next event June 19th First event of the year under the six hour rule will include hot dog BBQ for our anglers at the early weigh-in.

Only Yamamoto Baits this weekend for tournament anglers Most Blackie anglers are sticking with 3/4oz Jigs paired with Yamamoto Flappin’ Hogs and Yamamoto Swim Senkos paired with Fatsack Swim Jigs. Frog Bite should improve, yet still not consistent. Catfish and Bluegill also had a improvement this week.

Black bass bite is at a consistent yet, tougher than normal bite. Sweet Beavers and Senko’s drawing a lot of attention. We are seeing a few big Black Bass with ¾ ounce Jigs Others looking to score are starting to crank Lure Fan’s new cc70’s baits and DDO custom Craws are solid options.

Most Blackie anglers are sticking with Senkos and Tail Slapper swim baits paired with Fatsack Swim Jigs, Wind and overcast this weekend slow rolling Fatsack Tackle blades and Strike King square bills searching ledges near sparse tulle flats. Larger Stripers had another cameo appearance this week yet it was very brief. Crappie and Bluegill also had a improvement this week. Biwaa Sevens in Bluegill and RedHorse patterns rocking the few Bed fish are around.

Striper Trolling and plug casting has stayed consistent the last few days. Water cleared a bit this week and a few more stripers in the Cache Slough area responded. Trolling the Angry Eyes and Savage Preys is the best bet. Sturgeon anglers moved West . Catfish start to show in better numbers with Mackeral.
