Re: ***STOLEN*** please read

I'm sure you thought of it already, but check the local (from North Cty down to SD) pawn shops. I'd call them up and ask. The thieving coward will most likely stay away from CL, or ebay or online. Too many eyes. SD Fish boards, np classifieds, tackle/bait stores... Where were they stolen from? (car,...

Re: Lake Hodges is gettin pounded.

Heard from the tourney org about that fish taking deal last weekend - was overseen by the city, with state DFG guy present. Story is they took the fish to a local pond...to control a rampant bullfrog population at said pond. Also heard from Conway this morning: The bass were taken to a pond on the c...

No sweepers on DVL!

I don't think that vessel would pass the Quagga check.

In fact, while we're at it...drain it, sell the water to farms upstate. Then sell the land to developers. :P

Why Would Tourney Orgs Keep the Fish?

I read a recent post in some other forum - mentioned a tourney at a local lake this past weekend. From what was said on the forum (I thankfully avoided that madhouse), the tourney org was keeping the weighed-in fish to transport to a remote location - to feed, then reintroduce into the lake after a ...

Re: New instructions for AB 1253 letters

Great vid! This may seem like a stupid question, but where are the major organizations in support of all this? What about regional orgs/clubs/sponsors? Seems if they already have the constituency, that would be a logical starting point to build the awareness. Maybe they already do and I am completel...

Here is the info from that broken link: http://calsport.org/3-31-09a.htm Sorry for the length of the post, but figured it's best to get all the info on here too. I know I am way too lazy and apathetic to worry about something I think does not affect me in any way. Probably a shared sentiment, but a ...

Re: ok who has the mussel...what lakes?

When the Delta pumps reverse combining a waxing gibbus moon outgoing tide, juxtaposed with torrential rains in the SJV, in concert with a cataclysmic seismic shift in the WestPac, all Western waters will be inhabited by the dreaded quagga.

How can we save ourselves? :o

With all the respect and consideration talk over the past few, this story should keep the coals going....  Whether on shore, bridge, or cherry rig - the obvious question to me is why waste the $$ tossin a swimbait - or in this guy's case bait or dinner - when some simple lead has the sam...

Re: What transom saver are you using?

Seems there's a few good options to the std transom saver, personally, i've broken too many to admit, settled on a lock-n-stow, but see a few other options that will work equally as well. Just a note about the lock-n-stow type transom saver, watch out for your ground wire! I have a '98 optimax and ...

You're right, we need to organize, mobilize, prioritze, and scrutinize. I've been working on a survery to try and pass out amongst forums - not geo specific at all.

You're right about the hotels and surrounding businesses, they do need to get on board. Hopefully we can compile enough info from the people responsible for providing the recreational revenue -us-, and scrunch it into the kinda numbers that hurt. A recent surf/beach issue did it - it ain't my idea. ...

The state is hemorrhaging, and politicians lie for a living. Selling water beats some pesky clam. Too bad the Northern California reticulated garnet-scrotum frog didn't fare as well as the quagga.

Best Prop for '08 Ranger 178VX?

Running a Merc 4 blade 17p prop now on an Opti Max 150 - is there a better fit out there? The boat is heavy, and we ar...

Quagga at DVL????

What's the deal? Heard from a Ranger up North - DVL is now on the list. DVL is the only lake the boat has been in - once, and we almost got turned around. Luckily it was over 10 days ago.

Is DVL now affected? Or on it's way??
