Raymarine Dragonfly questions
Hello, I have a Raymarine Dragonfly w/Gold chart included and have had it for around a year. It works great, but I wanted to know if anyone else has this FF and what kind of settings do you have for the CHIRP. I pretty much have mine on auto since I don't know how to change the settings correctly. J...

Re: Life After Big Game - Kent Brown
Hell, I still use Big Game. what's wrong with it? I use 8 lb BG on my crankbaits and I know it's gonna be strong enough to bring them through the brush. 15 lb on topwater gets it done for me. Don't get me wrong I use Fluoro too, but if I'm on budget, I use BG. I have had no break offs with that or P...

Congrats Jason Christie on Dardanelle
Had the pleasure of meeting him at Bass A Thon this past year and he is a very cool dude, laid back. Showed me his left arm where he had surgery and was a bit concerned that it would not heal correctly. He called it the fisherman's "tennis elbow". Looks like it healed! Congratulations JC.

Re: Question on re-carpeting a 18'2" boat
Hold up! I re-did the carpet on my 86' Champ for about a hundred bucks. $50.00 for the carpet from Cabelas, $25.00 for the carpet glue at Home Depot, rivets and gun for $25.00 more and Dollar Tree clamps to hold it in place while they dry. Pretty easy to do. Just make sure you pull the carpet out in...

How much gear to bring on a fishing trip
How much gear do you guys bring when you're just fishing for fun? Do you bring the arsenal or just what works during that time period ? I'm getting tired of dragging all my stuff with me each time I go out and want to limit myself to what I can fit in my tackle bag. I have a pretty good size bag for...

Boat floor soft spot...
I have a soft spot on my boat floor. Anyone know a quick way to fix it without tearing the floor up? Can I just put a fiberglass patch over it? It's not a big piece maybe 8"x10" area...I have an 86' Champion. Thanks in advance

Those are some real beauty's... I sure would love to catch me a 10 + pounder. Closest I got was an 8 from Casitas that was probably starving for a trout. Great pic!

Re: Quagga at Lake Piru confirmed
Well then I guess the guys that fished Piru and then went back to Casitas may have done the same thing. It's only a matter of time man. The clean and dry only temporarily prevented the inevitable. Isn't there a fish or some other creature that eats these things? There's gotta be.

This a screen shot from my Raymarine Dragonfly. This is my Christmas gift to myself and I got to try it out today at Casitas. I was blown away by what I saw. This whole time I thought my spot was a hump w/brush, but it's a sunken boat! I am very pleased with the unit and I installed it myself. Had a...

Guys like me look up to the guys who get it done, like you here. Believe me, I take what you guys say and run with it. I caught my first 5lbr after learning here about the drop shot/senko. That is my go to bait. Works deep, shallow, fly line, wacky, texas.... The reports are like an almanac. I look ...

Electronics question
I know this a Lowrance forum, but I am going to install a Raymarine Dragonfly. Does the front of the transom mount transducer need to be clear of what's in front of it, or just the bottom clear? I have a LMS 520C that I'm replacing and RD ducer is bigger and longer. I would like to put it in the sam...
Re: cachuma
Man, you guys outta see Casitas.Pretty soon they're going to be walking across to the big island at the shoreline fishing area. Santa Ana is almost bare right now. It's going to take A LOT of water to replace it to where it used to be in '08.

Undecided with what FF to buy. I am looking at the Lowrance Elite 5 HDI or the Raymarine Dragonfly. I am a weekend warrior with an '86 Champion fish and ski. Looking to stay around $500.00. Thanks for suggestions in advance

Lake Mead in Nov/Dec
Just a quick question. I'm going on vacation next week to LV and want to fish Mead. Just taking very few baits and fish one day probably from a ski. Any areas near the marina at Boulder, the Islands nearby or coves near that area will help. I don't want to get lost. What baits, colors, depth? Thanks...

Bass spawn
Question: Do all female bass spawn if they can and what happens to them if they don't? Do they just release their eggs anywhere if they can't find a partner?
