I had the same problem.
I second taking the boat to Anglers and have Hydraulic steering put on. That's what I did.
What a difference with hydaulic.

That 12 pack sounds like a cheaper way to go.
Of course installing the steering first.

I just had that happen to one of my rods.
I believe it's from taking it out of the rod locker.
I was able to pop it back in. going to try a little super glue on it.

Randall Congrats to your daughter. I'm just starting to go through that now. My son is a senior in high school. As matter of fact next week heading to norcal to check out a couple of schools. UC Merced and Sonoma State. At least I think there is some pretty good fishing around those schools. Mike M

Well I couldn't get the 24 volts to work on my 12/24 676. This unit was to small for my 20 foot fish and ski anyway. I took the boat down to Anglers Marine and had a minn kota maxim pro 101 installed. I'm going to pick it up today. Also going to try the stay n charge system for charging the batterie...

It's gas prices.
The traffic was getting lighter in the valley before school got out.
I'm even taking metrolink a couple of days aweek.

First I would stay away from hippies thong. I hear it can be wound tight.

If this is a major problem with TR then I would look at the 36 volt.

Nice Toads

The inspection at Piru was easy. They know the bass fisherman are not the problem. I had towels in the live well and pulled them out. The gentleman doing the inspection was happy with that.

Cabela Guide wear uninsulated you can layer accordingly.

For boots I use Sorels Caribou. Nothing worse than have wet and cold feet.

I've tried gloves with fingers cut off they kept my palms warm but not the fingers. I'm currently using some noepreme gloves I bought at Fred Hall. They are for Fly Fishing. The fingers and thumb have a slit at the end. So the tip of the fingers can fold back. There is velcro on the back of the fing...

Sounds like you have surge brakes
I agree with Dan
Check the shock absorber. I had this problem changed the shock absorber and that fixed the problem.

I'm thinking the squeaking noise is the leaf springs.
