      Water Temp: 70's

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I've been hitting the lake about every other weekend for the past couple months. Water is way down, to the point where I'm afraid to launch my boat (heard of 2 outdrives and several props getting torn up in recent weeks), so I've been float-tubing the east end of the lake. The white bass are so thick, you can't keep them off, and can't get through them to catch anything else. I've been averaging 20-25 fish per hour on just about anything you throw at them...in-line spinners, grubs on darter heads, or any minnow imitation crankbait. Most fish are in the upper 10' of the water column, and out in water over 6' deep. Time of day and weather conditions don't seem to matter. Fish are mostly small, with the occasional decent size one thrown in here and there.
      City: Fernley

Tips: This would be a great time to take the kids fishing. Fish from shore along steeper areas with access to deeper water. Blue Fox vibrex spinners (silver works the best for me), Rapala minnows, Berkley gulp grubs on darter heads, you name it, it'll work, as long as it moves.
If you're after wipers, walleye, or black bass, throw bigger, heavier baits, but don't be surprised if the white bass hit them, too.

      Water Temp: 86

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Day after the Lake Mead Classic. Went out at 5:30 Am. First cast on main lake point is a fish. Drop shotted and he hit as it fell off the drop into 20 ft. Drop shot bite morphed into a dropshot and darterhead/5"Kalins grub bite over emerging reefs around primary and first in secondary points. About 10:00 AM the front came in. Bite died for about 2 hours or I lost the fish...

Then the bite cut loose on a open hook rigged 3/16 oz. peahead worm. Used a purple Yamamoto cuttail and 6" "Warmouth" roboworm. They were coming out of 30 ft. of water to slam the peahead in about 10 ft. Pendulum bite for the most part... they didn't want any swimming action imparted to the peahead. They moved shallower as the day got later and cloud cover came over.
      City: Las Vegas

Tips: Move around a lot. If you don't get bit in 20 minutes, time to fire the big mill. Fish are spread out but sometimes you will find groups. Big fish might be 2.5 lbs.

      Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Been on a weightless bite and also a dropshot bite last week. The dropshot bite is on the walls from 20 to 50 ft. and produces smaller bass all day - anywhere near ledges or chunk rock 45

Tips: For the weightless bite, lure size and presentation speed seem to be more key than color. Varied during the day with conditions.

In strong winds throwing a surface walking bait they would sslap at it and I could go back and catch them with follow up plastic.
