Report: Ok this is the end of my reporting and helping people try too catch more bass i was informed by are local newspaper sports editor that ive pissed off a few bass tournament anglers that are fishing the lake with my reports im guessing the 30 too 40 boat nights that have been turning out the last 6 or 7 weeks now have put a dent in there fishing time. Too all the everyday anglers i hope you keep fishing the lake and get info from your local tackle shops. Im signing off for now

      Water Temp: Hot

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: On the lake early the morning bite was good for top water spooks and buzz baits. Best fish came on Texas rigs with baby craw dads and grubs. They hit some crank baits in shad and crawdads for a few 2 to 6# fish the big fish of the day was a 7+# and that was about it for the day. Slow is the name of the game right now. Boated about 15 fish total.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Slow and steady seems to be the name of the game right now. Swim baits are working also.
If you can get on the lake early and I fished till about noon and got off before it got too hot. The water temp seams to push the fish a bit deeper as the day goes on.
      Good luck and be careful.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Eastman is close to being a Puddle !! Extreme caution should be used. Watch or "Red" balls loating to warn o rock piles and island tops.Started ishing in back around trees with Spooks, blades, Senkos. Caught 2-3.5's, 3-2.5's, a couple o deces, and a ew dinks. Moved to rock piles by the day use ramp and caught more duces. Wind up to 15-20 mph made it diicult to ish at best. Drop shot rock piles or more dinks. Gave up with the wind getting worse.
      City: Clovis

Tips: spooks got the best ish, dropshot got the dinks.

Water Temp: Up to 83 degree

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went to my avorite un lake at around 9am; my buddy slept in again so there went the morning bite. Had a ew ish here and there on pumpkinseed tube baits. The ish were tight to the trees; had to throw into them or right on the edge. The trolling motor took a dive an hour ater we launched so the day went by pretty slow; as always Eastman got windy in mid-aternoon so we had to "okie anchor" rom spot to spot that's why I think our numbers were so low. When the evening bite came around 7pm it was luke time; threw some o my hand poured pearl white lukes in the spillway and held on or dear lie; the ish came alive and out o no where; threw to the bank twitched it a little and bam....ish!!!.......I saw baby bass everywhere so through out the day the bass could be very choosy on what the ate..but pretty soon when the are all gone (ater this post-spawn) the ishing should pick up....good luck to all..
      City: Fresno

Tips: Throw tight to cover during the day and chase baitish...i used a pumpkinseed tube bait in 1/4oz....and used baby bass and pearl white lukes or my reaction baits in the evening...the liked the lukes presented pretty ast with a little action on the top o the water..

      Water Temp: warm!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: went up around 6am and didnt get much o an early morning bite. around 10am ish started to jump everywhere near the spillway (or whats let o it). I used some handpoured six inch worms in a blue ghost (similar to the 2001 keepers)and some handpoured pearl white lukes. the ish were hearding bait ish right up on the shallows; didnt want to spook the ish so i casted on the bank and dragged it slowly in the water. didnt get and real big ish; but did get a three pound average with the smallest ish going a little over two pounds. use a texas rig with a stop and hop retrieve and you should do pretty good.........and reminder...its hot up there!........good luck.
      City: Fresno

Tips: texas rig with 1/8 oz. bullet heads with a bead......cast to the bank and slowly pull it into the water. i used some pearl white lukes with a stop and go retrieve.

      Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: got a late start ishing that day. we were ishing about 12pm. we didnt get a bite until about 4pm. the water level is very very low. ive been ishing there or years and never have seen the water level so low (there is no spillway and the good spawning area in the back that we all ish is gone!)about 5pm ishing broke loose. i caught all o my ish on some handpoured pearl white lukes. big ish was about 4lbs. its too bad there sucking the lake dry this year; those days o high water i think are over or a while.
      City: resno

Tips: get there real early .........or ish late in the evening. does anyone know i we can night ish there yet? (it was a rumor we can)

      Water Temp: 60'S

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: ARRIVED AT 6:30 AM FISHED UNTIL 10:20 AM ALONG THE SHORELINE TO THE LEFT OF THE BOAT DOCK THEN TO THE RIGHT SIDE BY THE SOUTH END OF THE LAKE. IT WAS A SUNNY DAY. TEMPERATURE WAS COOL EARLY BUT LOW 70'S AS I DEPARTED.STARTED OUT FISHING WITH MINNOWS ON THE BOTTOM IN 5-20 FT. OF WATER TO THE LEFT OF THE DOCK ALONG WEEDS AT THE SHORLINE. AFTER NO LUCK BAITFISHING DECIDED TO MOVE THE MINNOW SLOWLY ALONG THE BOTTOM. WHEN I GOT A SMALL BITE. I FELT THE BASS HIT WAITED A LITTLE BIT THEN SET THE HOOK. LANDED A EL CAPTAIN KEEPER 15" (2LBS) LARGEMOUTH THAT WAS TAGGED. SO I KEPT TRYING AND SWITCHED TO NIGHT CRAWLER RIGGED LIKED A PLASTIC WORM WITH A SMALL SPLITSHOT. JUST LET IT SINK AND SLOWLY REEL AND I LANDED TWO MORE BASS 13" TO 14". I TRIED AGAIN BETWEEN LARGE NIGHTCRAWLER AND MINNOW AND NO LUCK. SO I LEFT AND WENT TO SOUTH PART OF THE LAKE AND FOUND SOME DEEP WATER WITH SOME SHALLOW WATER WITH SOME WOOD STRUCTURE. USED THE NIGHT CRAWLER METHOD AND GOT A NICE EL CAP BLACK CRAPPIE. MISSED ONE FISH THERE TOO.
      City: CHULA VISTA

Tips: SUNNY DAYS FISH HOLD A LITTLE DEEPER. USE SUBTLE BAITS ON THOSE DAYS. OVERCAST DAY HERE MUST BE ABSOLUTE OUTSTANDING WITH RIGHT WATER TEMPS. BETTER DAYS AHEAD. THIS WAS A GOOD DAY FOR ME, AS I DID SEE SOME BEING CAUGHT IN THE AREA. FISH WERE IN THE 5-20 FT. OF WATER. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.
