Knot How-To: Improved Clinch Knot - Berkley
The Improved Clinch knot is one of the most widely used fishing knots. It provides a good method of securing a fishing line to a hook, lure, or swivel. The "improved" version shown here includes an extra tuck under the final turn. It is commonly used to fasten the leader to the fly. Because it is harder to tie in heavier lines it is not recommended if you are using over 30 lb test line.

Getting the Most out of a Glide Bait with Matt Allen
There is a new trend among swimbait aficionados that lean towards the gliding version. When the River2Sea SWaver hit the market in 2007, many folks were skeptical that the "S-Action" glide was going to be effective. The SWaver was an adaptation off of a Japanese lure that was an adaptation off of a Jerry Rago Baits creation for Japan, but it certainly became a trendsetting lure in the U.S.

Bass Schoolin' - Catchin' Schoolin' Bass
It seems every Bassmaster Elite Series event we learn something new. Last event on Lake Havasu we learned about baby black birds and this past week we learned about fishing ledges and schools of bass on them. I think the new live feed is going to educate not only the general public, but even those of us on tour to new tactics, strategies, and baits.
