Catfish on a Shakey Head

While having a good day on Shasta I picked up an 18lb catfish after several spots, most Shasta clones, one pushing 3 lbs. Hit a 3/8 oz Shakey Head with 7 inch super salt pumpkin flat tail worm. Worm was hit, not snagged.

Questions: How often does this happen? How big do catfish get in Shasta?

I have seen logs over 2 feet in diameter just under the surface in Lake Shasta. Would take out a lower unit big time. You can see all kinds of junk going down the Sac.
