Clear lake this week 11/23/2016
round here the lake level is up to 1.66 Rumsey, even with all of the rain we’ve had this past 10 days, the lake level is basically flat from last week. I suspect the gates are open again. Waters going somewhere?

Update from Clear Lake | Water level/temps: Surface temps are 58-62 degrees and the Rumsey gage has the lake level at 1.65, which is nearly 3 feet higher than two years ago at this time.

Clear Lake This Week
The average for the past two years is in negative numbers, so relative to that we are in really good shape, and the fishing is reflecting that. How about a 3-4 lb average for most?

5th Annual WON Bass California Open at Clear lake 2017 Dates Announced!
The 2017 WON BASS season is rapidly approaching, and as always we look forward to our 2 major Opens. The 5th Annual California Open at Clear Lake is scheduled for May 24th through the 26th. The event will be held out of Konocti Vista Casino. Make sure to get signed up early to qualify for this years early bird prizes by February 17th, 2017 to qualify.

This coming week the key will be the weather forecast with improving weather mid-week on, so the winds will need to pass, and a day or so of calm should really help the bite bounce back from post front conditions.

Clear Lake this Week | Sept 20
eptember 20, 2016 brings us to 1.81 Rumsey and the lake level is falling quickly. All ramps remain usable and open. However, caution should be exercised everywhere.

Clear Lake this Week | Sept 1
Lake level is at 2.42 Rumsey and the water temps are running 74-79 degrees. Water clarity is improving considerably and the bite seems to be doing so as well.

Clear Lake | Mid-Week Report
Man, what a difference a week can make. While the numbers bite remains good, the quality of fish being caught has diminished considerably with these cooler daytime temps, and with the coming weekend approaching I'm glad I can take the weekend off and wait for some warmer days, at least I hope we see some warmer days before fall arrives.

Clear Lake this Week | August 22
All ramps are open and operating just fine. However, 2.5 Rumsey or so is where things start to get a bit dicey on some of the ramps around the lake. Just remember to trim up coming in and going out and you should be fine.
