the 2022 permits for all of SoCal have not been approved or processed yet. NBW doesn't have a schedule until they receive their approved permits.

Here is a link to a study done on barotrauma related mortality of FLMB in SoCal. FIzzing is only beneficial when done properly. They're not halibut...they shouldn't be on their side at the bottom of the tank after treatment.

the farther back and away from the main lake, the warmer the water, the more (and bigger) bass there were. At least that's how it was when we did removals of warmwater species from the keys 8-10 years ago.

Why does CDFW need to stock bass? At this very moment and for the past 3-4 months the adult stock in every waterbody that hold whatever Micropterus sp. are making BILLIONS more. These Sharelunker and/or bass stocking programs contribute a negligible amount to the fisheries they "supplement"...

No algae problems at DVL that I have seen. It may return but the lake is starting to stratify and they are not bringing water in so any significant upwelling which feeds the blooms shouldn't be an issue.

A year of closure will not "change" or have any appreciable effect upon a bass fishery. San Vicente was closed for about 10 years. After about day 3 following reopening it was the same as every other lake in SoCal.

Either trying for heavily stocked rainbow trout at the "aquaculture facility" that is Lake Dixon, or knew what the records were and was trying to break one or both records. Dixon isn't a crappie fishery.

I've caught stripers from shore up to 18 lbs using curado 200 sized reels and 12-15 lb line with out much difficulty. never been close to being spooled.

Clear lake's water quality problems are MUCH more complex and bigger than spraying weeds. The aquatic macrophytes being sprayed are going to die off eventually at some point regardless making a fish kill an annual possibility even if spraying didn't occur. I seem to recall a series of huge wildfires...

I assume you mean the launch ramp...no time in the foreseeable future. The lake is open Wed-Sun to shore access and rental boats. Fish are dumb and pressure is light.

How many of the top 25 LMB all time are from Texas? How many are from CA? Why should CA spend money directly to breed and raise trophy LMB when they don't have to? Nature will do it on it's own. A fish doesn't have to be 13 lbs or bigger to spawn potential records. A 13 lber's genetics didn't change...

No, Skinner is within a Riverside County Park. Lake Elsinore, Big Bear, Lake Hemet and Lake Hodges all have thriving, nuisance carp populations and allows bowfishing for carp, take all you want.
