Report: Launched 8am from New Hope; light choc milk til we hit Sycamore area and into Mokulemne...straight to fav tule islands and dock..tried spinnerbaits, senkos, and cranks...ZIP. Worked our way back to just around the bend from Tower bridge and worked the islands...managed a 4.2lber on senko in 6ft in the weedline...full of eggs. Couldn't figure 'em out much less find 'em. Well not realy, graphed a bunch in 10-20ft but just couldn't figure out what they'd hit.
City: folsomTips: Not much other than try everything you know in cold, stained, whatever. Hope someone posts something that helps.

Eastman Lake

Water Temp: 53-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Very litle rxn bite early, best action on jigs and brush hogs in 20-30 ft. A few fish shallow but not the spring conditions I was hoping for. Still a nice day on the water with 14 total for the both of us.
Tips: 1st time here that dropshot did not work...better luck on dart head and flik shake.

Shadow Cliffs Lake

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the back lakes today the one nearest the parking lot. Was on the water by 6:15 and had first fish by 6:30 stinko in the tullies. Right around 7:15 bite turned on caught about a dozen chunkers right at the entrance to creek arm with a-rig, biggest 4lb. Bite died at about 830 or so switched over to deep diving crankbait on the submerged island top In between no trespassing sign and dog swim zone. Scored about another dozen biggest 3. Wind picked up about 1000 or so moved into the brush with jig and slaughtered got 2 5's and ton of 2's. Finished up with probably 20 to 30 fish in about 5 hours. Back lakes been slow I'm glad I fished this lake usually it's the opposite. I'm thinking the back lake is getting hammered. Good luck out there.
City: PleasantonTips: Try lake closest to p-lot back lake has been getting a lot of pressure not as good, fish in other lake starting to turn on.
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: got here around 7:30 A.M and headed straight for the back ponds for some bass. only had a few hits and landed one fish about 2 pounds on a jig with a sweet beaver trailer. i got all of the hits very close if not right in submerged timber. the strikes also occured early before the wind picked up and temperature dropped. my best advice would be come on warmer days with little to no wind and never be afraid to put your lure in thick cover

Water Temp: 55 main lake
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out this morning at 7 and figured I'd tube the main lake. Weather was slightly overcast and around 55 degrees, water temp the same. Water was crystal clear with visibility almost 15 feet. I looked shallow along the Stanley blvd side and saw a couple beds with no fish on them. Tried drop shot, jig, swimbait, and rip bait when the wind picked up but not even a bite. The sun never showed through the clouds and it felt like it got colder as time passed. I only fished three hours due to my legs going numb. I saw one 10+ bass cruising shallow along the Stanley shore and that was it gentlemen. I think these big bass are used to eating freshly stocked trout and that's about it. The only cool/sucky thing about fishing the main lake is that you get to see giant bass that you'll probably never catch unless you use a live rainbow trout as bait.....

Shasta Lake
-
Water Temp: 47 - 50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Squaw Creek arm with some friends from 3/19 - 3/22 with mixed results. Drop shotting worked best during the day and a for the evening a work a crank bait at lake points in water 0-30' deep. We didn't catch numbers but fish were of good quality.
City: Morgan HillTips: Keep moving to find fish. The drop shot bite was very lite and it seemed as though the fish were loading up on the drop shot not much of a tap tap type bite. Fish were spitting up minnows and craw fish.

Report: Went out for a couple hours with my little brother today. He ended up catching one about 2 1/2 drop-shotting a gray robo worm. Missed a few others about the same size. There were a lot of cruisers today, but they were pretty easy to spook and weren't feeding that aggressively.
City: OakleyTips: Water is as clear as I've ever seen it, seems like finesse fishing is the way to go.

Tenmile Lake

Water Temp: no idea
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Anyone fishing Cottage Grove Lake yet? Normally I'd have 3-4 good fish logged by now but too many other irons in the fire('56 Chevy, Hoop tourney, 6 day work week!). Would love to here about water clarity and/or temps if anyone's been out. I'm sure the first decent week of weather you won't be able to keep me away from the lake- see you out there soon!
City: yoncalla,orTips: Craw colored cranks and jig/beaver combos always seem to produce for me this time of the year- at pretty much any lake.

Water Temp: 52 - 55 degress
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's around 9 a.m. and was out by 2:30 p.m. Fished the main channel to LVW Marina in 14 Mile Slough and back. I was anticipating a windy day, but did not happen. I was ready to duck into the marina for cover. I managed 4 bass and 1 striper today. The first bass and the striper hit my 1 oz. spinnerbait slow rolling. 1 bass (big fish of the day about 4 lbs.) was cuaght in the main channel with a blk/blu jig along dropoff in 10 feet of water. Flipped on bass in marina using a chigger craw. the last bass was cuaght wacky rigging a zoom magnum trick worm in junebug color.
City: StocktonTips: Keep changing up, no set pattern was found today. they did prefer rocks with tules.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out for a few hours late afternoon. Great cloud cover; however, I think the water is still a little too cold. Ended up with one Spot off some rock piles. Gotta get one of those A Rigs Lol!!
City: West SacaramentoTips: If I wasn't pressed for time; I would have fished a lot slower on points and rock piles. I think the cold water from the Sierra's is affecting the bite??

McClure Lake
-
Water Temp: 55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Castro Valley bass classics had their second tournament of the year at Mcclure. The day actually started out decent with 55 degree morning and no rain or wind but considerable cloud cover. The bite was decent for several of us but others could not put a limit in the boat. The fish were not eating well till the storm set in and that's when the big ones moved up. i was able to win this event with a nice limit for Mcclure of 12.15 and second was 10lbs. tubes(brown/orange) and spinnerbaits, darterheads and jigs also played part as well as som missed opportunities on swimbaits. I threw the a-rig off and on all day and not even a follower.Fish were taken from all over the lake on steep walls and back in bays but the consensus was the secondary points just inside of bays held the most active fish.
If you are Interested in joining a club in the east bay we meet every 2nd wed of the month at dicks restaurant in San Leandro at 7 pm you can also email me at fishngjames@gmail.com with any questions. have a great weekend and tight lines
City: San LorenzoTips: all rain gear is not equal and many of our guys gear did not enjoy there fishing. If you are going to fish tournaments you have to get good rain gear.

Water Temp: 54-57
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of new hope and fished the back sloughs of snodgrass and middle slough just dead sticking jerkbaits and only had 2 bites despite the storm a 3.3 lbr and a 5 lbr in the shallows. About noon fished near the delta crossing and had a few schoolie stripers on lipless cranks on the point. As i moved towards the crossing had a few short strikes and missed so threw out a cranky. Low and behold i was in to some of the best crappie the fish gods had to offer. A bunch of .5 lbrs and a few 1-1.25 lbrs.
City: sacramentoTips: Mother nature can drizzle all she wants but the tears of joy that the fish gods gave me today reminds me how it feels to be a kid again despite my aging appearance. Btw all fishes was released. Thank god!!!

Indian Valley Lake

Shasta Lake
-
Water Temp: 49 to 53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The bass fishing has been getting better and with the recent weather changes. The most productive tactics have been Dartheaded worms in Mojave Oxblood and hologram shad and Nail weighted Senkos in Green Pumpkin, Cinnamon w/ Black flake, Natural Shad and Baby Bass as well as tubes in mud pie and old ugly fished from 15 to 40 feet deep. Lots of keeper size fish are being caught and the bigger fish are starting to show in their normal pre spawn pattern. Those throwing Jerkbaits and White spinnerbaits with white double willow blades or Chartreuse spinnerbaits with gold blades in the backs of coves with flowing water have been reporting successful days.

Water Temp: na
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Hey Kalihi Boy, no worries brudda...was still a good report for DV....kinda new you weren't talkin' about "low-tide", yeah? hahaha
Delta is starting to come on...hitting those sparse tules just like Mr. Barrack describes. Also the jerkbaits on the long pause has worked..used LC sp100 at least 20-30secs between twitches...all bites on the pause. but worked the sparse tules with dandy baits 3/8 and 1/2 oz slk and boops (craw). love the hits on the spinnerbaits. nothing on the dropshot but senkos on bps flick shimmy jigheads worked.
City: folsomTips: working sparse tules just like b.b. when that shuts down, we go to cranks, jerkbaits and senkos. also hit a couple 2+lbers on jackall flickshake worms in junebug. worked about 10ft out from the weedlines down the drop-off. my boat is a deepv tracker and the trolling motor is only a 55lb...so we drift and racetrack back...always adds at least 1-2 more on the hook.
