      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Saturday was a Wet One! Very little wind, so the rain was tolerable. Using a shad Risto Rap crankbait, I caught a TROUT...one of the 10-inch stocked trout...amazing that it hit a crankbait that it could not fit into its little mouth and its amazing how much it looked like my Castaic swimbait (or vice versa). Scott got a nice 3 1/2 lb bass off a main lake point on a River-to-Sea swimbait and shared one with John. A little while later, John picked up a nice 2 lb bass on the swimbait so he's stoked about using swimbaits now.
Went out again Sunday, anxious at first because the sky looked like rain any minute and the wind was blowing pretty good (10-15 mph) as we loaded our boats. Shortly after we got on the water in the morning, the wind settled down and we only got sprinkled on lightly a couple of times. John hugged the shore and cast his swimbaits out into the deeper water, retrieving them uphill but had no takers. At midmorning, he finally picked up his ultralight outfit, cast within inches of the shore, using a modified Swimming Senko, and caught a 4 lb 11 oz, 3 lb 8 oz, and 2 lb bass...all loads of fun on the ultralight rod. I managed only one nice 2 lb keeper taken on a shad Risto Rap off the dike. I made a lot of casts with the Castaic trout-finish swimbait and several other presentations (worms, jigs, Senko's, spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits, 4" swimbaits) but couldn't interest any bass from the off-shore water. Also, briefly tried a buzzbait but it's apparently still too cold for that. The wind picked up again late in the morning as it usually does at San Justo and we got off the lake at noon.
      City: Monterey

Tips: If you're not getting any action from the deeper water, try casting within inches of the shoreline...you may be pleasantly surprised. And, be prepared for an immediate strike, as if the lure has landed in the fish's mouth.

      Water Temp: .... 40ish?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: i tried fishing the backlakes, and caught a bass about 3 punds. I was using a nightcrawler with a split shot 1 foot from it. I fished about 2 feet from the shore, right next to the water depth meter near the float tube launch and big tree. I tried the rest of the shore, and various other part using the same set up, then trying others sutch as roboworms, and didn't even have a bite.
      City: p town

Tips: Let the worm hit the bottom, and leave it! Dont jig it a lot, just let the worm move on its own. Also fish ROGHT ALONG THE SHORE

      Water Temp: 47-53

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Checked to see what has been posted and see Jimmy did not post last Sunday. Fished 9-3:30 three of us and we got 5 fish. Farther north the muddier it got. Started out trying to see if fish moved up shallow with the muddied water tried Jig, Blades, T-Rig, Drop-Shot, Jerk Bait. Even John's sure fire plastic. First fish not till 12:00 1.5# on a spinner bait, Jimmy got another about 1.8# on a blade also. John added the 2.5# one eyed smallie on a drop-shot. I added a 1.9# on a Senko and Jimmy finished with a 2.0# on a Drop-Shot. It was a week ago but I think this is close. Water got more stained as the day progressed even thou rain had stopped, it will probably be a while before it clears.
      City: Pacifica

Tips: Good opportunity to learn how to find fish in stained water. No pattern to speak of. Depth 5-25 ft.

Used drop-shot (Marguerita Maulers), senkos (watermelon, red flake), and jigs (brown with purple pork trailer). Beautiful day, sunny clear skies, calm to light wind, no fish. Report: Launched out B&W fished our waty to Franks and Mildred. Tried dropshotting some tules with small ledges picking up one fish on an arons' magic fat worm. Made our way back to Franks hitting a few fish on Voo-Doo baits in the delta pattern. We were targetting shallow tule coves. Water Temp: 48

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Rain, wind, rain, widier, rain really windy. Tossed jigs in 5-15 feet of water on windward bank. Brown 1/8 oz for shallow rocks. All were spots up to 3.5 lbs for a limit of about 14 lbs Some tapped it, some thumped it hard, some were just there. Left at 10;00 A.M., I was not comfortable, everywhere I went there was swirling wind and it was getting worse.
      City: sac

Tips: Try lighter jigs up shallow especially in rocks and use a slow fall type bait or whatever tied to it. Drop-shotting rod stayed in locker because of wind but that may have been a mistake, you decide what you would have done. All fish were caught in the South Fork. Good fishing Jimbo

The bass kept it interesting by just crushing the jig (thump!). Wish I had more time; bite is getting good.

      City: Martinez

Tips: We didn't fish very slow however I think more fish would have been caught if you slowed down with the cold water. It's nice to catch a couple of fish after Havasu.....!!!
