      Water Temp: 57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the afternoon into evening bite. It was pretty windy on the lake with the wind really coming out of the north, started to settle down around 5:00. Was throwing the swimbait and got a chunky 3 1/2lb. Went to a couple of points to throw the dropshot as the sun was getting ready to set and caught 3 fish on 5 casts all were 1 1/2 to 3lbs. Went to one last point before calling it a day and as we were pulling up saw a bass chasing a trout. Out goes my swimbait and on the second cast I nail a good one. He went 7.9 on my digital. A great way to finish off the day.
      City: ventura

Tips: If dropshotting fish it slow, the fish are starting to move up shallower. A few fish starting to take interest in the big baits.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started fishing way up river and worked my way out. Bite slow on brown jigs with grub trailers. Got bit on banks in holes in the rocks out of the faster water. Some bites on slow cranks. Browns and craws work best. Had 2 fish early on pink spinners. 1 20in. striper on slow retrive with a shad crank. The water is way down even in the center of the river{thank God I have a steel boat}. Down on the main lake same deal with most bites off the banks 5" to 15" of water.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Fish slow. The bites real slow and very light so watch your line as you will not feel the bite as much as see your line move. Watch out for rocks up river.

      Water Temp: 45-51

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I made my first scouting trip today and hoped for some sun since the latest front was clearing out. No luck - cold fog in the morning - glimpses of sun and then heavy cloud cover all day. Not good for a Feb bite. I tried lots of plastics, jigs, and spoons with only two bites. I did as much looking as I did fishing since the lake is down about 20 feet. Finally, about 4 pm in the river arm, while dragging a morning dawn 4" Robo worm, my line got heavy followed by a big jerk as she bucked her head. My line got very heavy and within 5 seconds I lost her. Wow! The sun cam out about 5 pm so I decided to try one or two more spots in the main body. I threw a jig to one of the submerged islands and got nailed in about 20 feet of water. A nice smallie at 4 lbs 2 oz was a beautiful sight in my net (photo on photo page). I wish she was over 5 but still, a great end to a tough day. She hit a 3/8 oz brown/orange Rodstrainer jig with a double tail #180 Yamamoto 5" grub. My drive home was definately more enjoyable thanks to her!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I think I have said this before but when the bite is tough or I am fishing for smallies, rather than go to a 4 in grub trailer, I still use a 5" grub but I bite some of the grub body off. This way I still get the good tail action in a more compact bait. If the water is very clear, I will use a double tail. Most of the time I use a single tail. The big one I lost was in 30 feet of water and the the other bites were deep also. Incoming water at the end of the narrows was 44-46 degrees. I guess fishing was generally slow for everyone since I didn't see many folks after 3 pm. One bass boat landed 2 trout and another one did have 4 bass by dark. I've heard about rain dances and we need rain - but the next time I go to Pardee I may do a sun dance!!

Report: Wow, what a no bite. Finally got one at 11;30 ON A JIG IN 35 FEET, MAIN BODY HUMP. I asked two other bassmen and they didn't get a bite.
      City: sac

Tips: There was a lot of bait, fish etc, layered at 40-50 feet. The mud line in the South moved all the way down past Deep Ravine. There is debri so if you intend to go, watch out. I don't know how to catch bass after a storm like that during this time of year. Any suggestions. (realistic ones)

      Water Temp: 48

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: We fished from 10:00 until 4:00 and caught one fish on a crank bait. I think it was the dummest fish in the lake. Tried everything and anything but could not get bit. We worked the entire Rock Creek arm of the lake up past the island, which was very muddy. Is the lake fisihing any better up towards the Bear River?
      City: loomis

Tips: I'd say go to Folsom but it sounds like its still pretty tough as well.

      Water Temp: 51 to 53.8

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Last week the swimbait fish started to show again in shallow water. Also there were some nice jig fish caught also in water 15 to 25 feet. Bass are 2 1/2 to 5 pounds. There were a couple caught on swimbaits that went 7 pounds. The warm front moving through the area and warm weather next week should produce some really nice bass on swimbaits and jigs. Take your pick of areas to fish there holding on rock piles on flats and dropsoffs and around brush piles. 559-689-3255
      City: kerman ca

Tips: ROCK PILES AND FLATS ARE YOUR BEST BETS THESE BASS ARE LAYING OUT ON FLATS MID MORNING AND AROUND ISOLATED ROCK PILES AND EDGES OF DROP OFFS THERE STARTING TO MOVE UP SLOWLY AND SHALLOW BASS ARE THERE. 8 TO 25 FEET DEEP ARE HOLDING MOST OF THE BASS IN THE ABOVE AREAS.

      Water Temp: Didnot check-Su

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started out earlywith first bite coming at 7:30 and the next one at 8:30, that was it, about 5.5 lbs. Fished up river (South) at mudline edge got the first one, moved to Deep Ravine and connected with the second one. It was tough the way I was fishing as I look for big bass and seldom drag a bait.
      City: sac

Tips: I use the same jig as yesterday and both bass were on it without a sensation of a bite, just pressure. Keep in contact with your bait even if you have to close your eyes to get thew feeling.
      Good fishing Jimbo
