Report: Launched my tube 5:00 am Sunday morning, It was a little chilly and calm waters. Threw topwater, blades, cranks-NADA! I was like wtf! I remembered I bought some brand new senkos and robos the other day and decided to try a white 4 inch senko and a shakyhead with a robo. What do ya know, I got bit instantly. I ended the day at 2:00 pm with around 20 bass caught mostly smallmouth and the biggest fish was a 2.6 largemouth caught in the willows. Overall it was crowded because of Fathers Day but it was a beautiful day on Emigrant Lake.

Tips: Most bass are staging for their summer haunts, few bass are spawnig still.

Report: Fished bank across from boat ramp and landed about 12 dinks. My partner did hook about a 3 pound large mouth but did not get him in. Way too much boat traffic. Fished sencos and tubes in the brown color.
    City: Central Point

Tips: Fish early as the boat traffic during the day is miserable.

Report: I thought I would let the trout fishermen know that when we were out, we had BIG TROUT chasing our grubs right up to the boat. We caught one by mistake fishing for bass. I think the trout fishing should be great based on how many we saw.

Report: Headed out for an evening bite with my Chris and let me tell you, it was cold and the wind was unreal. That just helped the bite, caught around 25 fish with a 5#lm,4#sm,3.5#lm,3.5#lm 2.5sm were our best five for 18.5lbs. Most fish were tucked back in the coves with the exception of one flat where we got into a good school of large mouth.

Water Temp: Ripe for the pi

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Wow!! Water has warmed up nicely and fish are biting. Son caught 10 during the day off the shore
Mostly smallmouth and a couple of trout. I went up late after work and caught 9 on topwater. Largest was a 3.5 largemouth. All fish on topwater.
What a blast. If you like topwater, then hit Emigrant.
    City: Shady Cove Oregon

Tips: Topwater!!! Try to stay out of the wind. Also, put a chain or rope on your trolling motor, this way, it won't fall in the drink like mine did. hahahaha

Report: Fished from 5-8pm. Happy to see the lake is clearing and the water is warming. Lake lice are out in force, but the mud-line will be enjoyed later. Caught them on everything but the swimbait. Senko's, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits all worked well. I am happy for the great weather and the spook bite will happen soon. Has anyone seen the spawners? I caught a nice post spawn female but I have not seen a bed. Good Luck

    Water Temp: Not warm enough

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out to go fishing and arrived at the lake to find it white caping. I hate this lake this time of the year. Luckily enough we did find some LM spawning. Surprised the crap out of me. I was able to incidentally hook a female about three lbs or so, after seeing the male sitting on the bed. She jumped out of the water and threw my hook. Figures. I think this lake is about to turn on. Lets cross our fingers.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Emigrant from 1-7pm and caught a lot of dinks (all smallmouth). Most of the fish ate grubs and ripbaits. All of our fish were under 2 pounds, but at least they are finally shallow. A couple of these 12-13" smallies are very fat and I assume are full of eggs. I cant imagine females this size spawning can help to improve the average size fish in this lake I dont condone keeping fish, but I wonder if it would increase the size of these fish if someone weeded out some of these dink smallies??? I would love to hear everyone's opinion on this subject. I am sure someone is going to say that there are huge fish in this lake. I realize this, but they are few and far between.
    City: Central Point

Tips: If you want to catch big largemouth fish the wood. If you want to catch big smallies then fish exactly the opposite as I've been doing!!!!!
(CATCH AND RELEASE, AT LEAST THE BIGGER FISH)

Report: Spent the morning at Emigrant. Nothing! Really doubting if I am a bass fisherman. Talked to one of the club members and he only caught a smallie.
Went pond hopping and still NOTHING. Beautiful weather. Went to Agate lake and scored. 10 bass and son caught a catfish. Biggest bass went over 2 lbs. LOTS of fun finally!!!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took a couple 4 year old's with us today so fishing was interupted a lot. Went out @ 1-7pm and managed to get 4 little sm on rip baits. Lost one descent fish on a jig, and the water temps have jumped a lot after the nice weather. The little guys enjoyed fighting the smallies and now want to go again asap.
    City: Central Point

Tips: Water was a little too stained to see fish in the shallows, but I think only a few are up right now.

    Water Temp: 46-48

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water at 6:30 this morning wearing full rain gear to keep the snow and hail off of us. Fishing was very tough as expected, considering the water temp was 5-6 degrees colder than last week. We found fish stacked up in 35'-45' but couldnt convince any of them to eat. I got bit a few times on a crankbait, but could only boat 1 trout on it. The only other boat we saw was the sheriff, we finally decided to go home after they pulled up laughing at us for fishing in this weather. I want to compliment the Jackson County Sheriff Deputies, they are definitely fisherman friendly and seem to be good guys.
    City: Central Point

Tips: We caught some big bass in the wood earlier in the month when the weather was warmer.

    Water Temp: 44-48

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: On the water at 9:00 am. I fished mostly rip baits off the points for 1 sm 1.2 lbs. Had one other bite on a jig in 10 ft off a point. Didn't fish the willows much but I would expect a few of the larger LM to be moving up into them soon. Another week of warm weather should get things going a little.

Tips: Get out and go fishing. The switch could get thrown any day now and the fishing could be awesome.

    Water Temp: 45-47

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got out bright and early with no other boats on the water. Cold front moved in the day before. Lake is almost completely full right now but the water is still very cold. Threw mostly crank baits with nothing biting in the early season haunts. Went to a little spot we found last year down the left side and got on some small mouth hits right away. The fish seemed to be territorial but not real hungry. They were smacking crank baits but hard but missing them. The only two we landed on cranks were hooked in the head, not the mouth. Did manage two on plastics with a few missed fish. Total of 4 landed from 1-2.5lbs all small mouth. My guess is that one warm week will turn these fish on big time!
    City: Medford

Tips: Early season small mouth are very aggressive, get em mad and they will fight! Good luck and good fishing!

    Water Temp: 42-53

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: started at 11am. As per usual graphed many with no bites. Monitored the water temp and it was higher on the I-5 side(shallower). tried cranks, spinners, c-rigs and swimbaits and finally caught 2 to 4 pounds on jigs. First wave is on the move I believe. Minimal eggs but the feed is in process.
    City: Medford

Tips: Watch the graph, water temperature is absolutely paramount in the location of active feeders.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: This report is not for emigrant but the surroundin pounds in the valley. The bite is starting to come around in the ponds the big mommas are feedin. Went out the past weekend to two separate ponds Caught a 7# 6# and two 5.5# clones. We also caught several other smaller fish. Not to mention the one that got away, you know how that goes, she was very large.
    City: medford

Tips: Just because the lakes are no good doesnt mean the ponds arent. So swallow your pride and go catch some fish. We were throwing swimbaits and jigs.Have fun. And put up some reports it nice to hear how others are doin.
