Report: I have been fishing just off marine Dr the past couple of weeks just west of 122nd near the log poles you see sticking out of the water and have caught a few smallies that were pretty small but did land a couple around a pound or so ( still pretty small )I was using grubs in colors white, black and pumpkin and seem to have the best luck with black. Can someone tell me the best place to go bass fishing for a chance at catching some good size bass very close to Gresham. I would love to get my wife into some good bass action close to home. THANKS

Report: Fished from 8:30am to 5:00pm from boat on 16th. Caught 2 dinks. Was told early morning best. Caught a 1.5 lb lm bass from dock around 7:30pm using a senko texas rigged. Next morning started fishing at 6:00am till 3:30pm from boat. Not a single fish made it in. Tried eveything in the tackle box. Had a couple bites. Decided I could at least drink beer fishing from the dock. Using a light sinker with a 12" leader using trout yellow floating bait and a live worm on end of hook, caught a 14" trout AND a 1.5 lb lm bass this way. WITH FLOATING BAIT? Long couple of days of fishing. It was about 80 deg air in the sun. Was told the in the tourney the weekend before that there were NO keepers caught on Sunday by any team.
      City: Tualatin

Tips: Suggest a different lake for the time being.

Report: Well, here I go again.... The only reason that I'm submiting a report is that in the hope that someone will read it and submit a report of their own so that I might learn something new..... My grandson and a friend of his & I put in this morning at themair ramp just before daylight and went immeadiatly to the willows at the end of the (right) arm.... Fishing wasn't nearly as hot as it was the last time we went, but we did manage a few keepers... We went form there to the quarry hole where I did manage to hook the biggest fish of the day, about 1.5 smallmouth..... We left there and went up to the willows on the (left) arm, but didn't rally do all that much there.... Finally figured out that everything that was worth catching was being taken off rocky shorelines, so fished those for the remainder of the time on the lake...... Was in "EL Tapitio" for lunch & a couple of cervesas by 1 P.M. Total fish to the boat, 24, all in all not a bad day......... Wind was not a factor today.......
      City: Williams, OR

Tips: Senkos, spinnerbaits, and a LV 95 Lucky craft accounted for all the fish that we caught.....

Report: Fished a UVBM tournament on the 19th and 20th of June and had 21lbs 14oz for 5 fish. Caught fish on blades in the morning but culled them out later on brushhawgs and senkos. We were culling 4lbs bass all day long.On the second day it was a little tuffer to catch big ones. We had 18lbs+ for 40lbs for two days and got second place. What a fish factory this place is.
      City: Winston

Tips: Reaction baits early until the sun comes up them switch to slower plastics.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Well, if nobody else submits a report, I will.... My grandson and I fished from just after dawn until 9 a.m. when the wind blew us off the lake.... We started jsut to the right of the boat ramp in the willows growing there, and we each boated a couple of very nice keepers, very fat and healthy looking.... We went from there to the cemetary hole with no takers, then decided to run down to the end of that arm and fish the willows..... I boated ten keepers and my grandson boated six.... He primarily used Senkos, and I used Senkos and a small chartruese spinnerbait with about equal sucess..... The biggest fish landed went 2.4 lb on a digital scale...... Come on you Oregon bass fishers, take a minute and use this column to let others know what's happining around our state.... Hate to have to tune in to the California sites just to find out if anybodys catching fish........
      City: Williams, OR

Tips: Senkos & spinnerbaits worked for us, but I'm sure that those fish were willing enough that they would have taken just about anything....

Report: The weather was a bit overcast, with light to moderate afternoon winds out of the south. Air temps were mid 60's. On the lake about 10:00AM began fishing around Booth Island and on up into the Booth Arm with no takers. Next ran to the Big Tressel to ry our luck on some crappie. Again no takers and no strikes. Moved on up to the upper end of Maplet Arm. Dan tied on a bluegill collored Rapala Lipless crankbait (1/4 oz) an got 2-3 strikes throwing it up near shore among down wood. Finally hooked and landed our only bass (est. 1.5-2lbs. Real healthy and fought well. Talked with other fisherman and we did better than they did. Off the lake around 4:00PM. Post spawn conditions were tough as is most of the time on this lake.

Report: I was fishin in a little inlet and i was fishing with a (brown roster tail spinner) and i counted to 5 sec. and i saw it about 11 feet away and then a 4 1/2 LB. smallmouth hit it!
And i was fishing for trout so my drag was very low and so the smallmouth riped the line out and so i had to reel it in very fast and i had 4 lb. test and a lutralight rod! After about 5 minutes i got hit and it was very pretty. And then i let it go!
