Pardee Lake
-
Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out on the lake late so I missed the early morning bite if there was one. There sure wasn't any other bite going on the rest of the day. Fished from about 9:30am till 3pm and nothing. Fished the lake and up river. Tried submerged islands, points, and even in back of coves and nothing. The trout boats were in full force catching their limits. Water temp still seems to be too cold mixed in with the high pressure. Still was nice to get out and enjoy the lake though. Tried drop shot, jigs, shaky head, and even crank baits.
City: LodiTips: Either trout fish...or wait till the water hits about 60+ degrees.

Black Butte Lake
-
Water Temp: 50 - 55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Great weather but terrible bite. Water was very muddy (less than 1 foot visibility) and very low. We tried everything that rattled and could be fished slow. All dark color baits used (rattlin' crank baits and jig/pigs).
The low water level pushed fish down away from their typical structure so there weren't many pockets or structures to fish.
Fish started to jump late afternoon as the weather was warm today but we couldn't catch one with spinnerbaits or sammy's. Visibility was just too dirty.
Tried dropshotting senko's and trick worms (multiple darker colors) and still no luck.
Can't wait for warmer weather and clearer water. This lake looks like a great largemouth spot.
City: OrlandTips: Don't fish muddy, cold water!

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 52-54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Franks all day,With high pressure building the bite has toughened up tremendously.Flipped all day and managed five bites for about 17+0r- with a 7lb kicker all coming on black and red brush hog. The fish seemed to be near current sweeping through the tract and buried up, all my bites were back 2ft or further in the tules.
Tips: After you make your flip deadstick the bait for about 10 seconds 3 of the 5 bites came on the pause but a heavier weight for a fast sink rate to get their attention because they definatly were not in a positive feeding mood, two hrs without a bite then switched to the heavier weight and it made a difference.

Del Valle Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Mr. Kalihi Boy, thank you for responding and suggestions. I was thinking I should try berryessa first for crappie before I try del valle. I had pretty good luck there in the past. I'm a little surprized that the guy was using a drop shot rig with a mini jig. I guess thats one way to keep your jig at the depth that you want to fish, even for crappie. I wonder if the southshore is muddy from all that rain we had last week. Its probably very muddy and would be bad for trout fishing back there in the south shore. Its usually pretty good for trout, but it has to be fairly clear.
City: samn mateo -
Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: water is muddy... ya wanna catch fish...go deep.. way to much run off.. who care's about the crappie or bass right now...it's not the time.. troll for the big trout. 9 lbr's are there,, the rainbows will hit. IF you use the right bait.. I say , troll six feet down... on idle...
City: san jose,Tips: there are so many fish in this lake ,, yu have to "think" what do you want to catch.. figure it out.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 51-55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We had a non-typical Winter like day for our sixth Berryessa Pro Team Tournament, the air temperature was 60 degrees and the water temperature was 50-53 degrees with 1’-2’ visibility. After the huge Future Pro Tournament on Saturday, the teams reported that the fish were not chewing real good which resulted in a tough tournament for all. Thanks to the 16 teams for coming to Markley Cove for the March 27, 2011 Tournament, our smallest turnout for the year. Hopefully we’ll have a better turnout next tournament with the bite getting really good as the water warms up. Blast-Off was dry and chilly, and at the weigh-ins it was a little damp, thus making us retreat for cover and awards were done in the Markley Cove Store. The lake was hammered the day before which made the bite tough for most teams; still the top teams weighed some solid bags depite the pressured lake. The top teams managed to find some nice largemouth that moved up, fishing the breaks, creeks, and points in the main lake from 2’- 20’. The majority of the teams only got a few bites, even though there was a lot of nice 4# largemouth with a few large smallies brought to the scales. Some fish were caught with spinnerbaits; most fish came on jigs, senkos, and worms in the main body. Teams reported fish being caught in 0-25 feet of water, with the fish starting to move up and stage. I want to thank our sponsors: Centennial Batteries, Guns Fishing & Stuff, Alan Fong, Dobyns Rods, Tomat’s Restaurant, Oroville Outdoors, Don Sebastiani Winery, Kazoku Teriyaki & More, Markley Cove, and Winters True Value Hardware for supporting the 2010-2011 Berryessa Pro Team Trail! With a soild bag of 16.57# First Place went to Sam Boucher (Richmond) and George Lu (El Cerrito), Chris Franks (Petaluma) and Stephen Seals(Windsor) took Second place honors weighing an excellent 16.07# bag. Fourth Place was John Maes (Roseville) and Gary Jones (Roseville)with a 14.24# bag. Again Thanks to all the teams for fishing the Berryessa Pro Team Circuit and another great tournament on Lake Berryessa! Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 46-52
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went up to the lake test out my new rod for the first time this year. I knew the fishing will be tough but did't realize the water temp will be so cold. I should have of known the all that rain we had slow the fishing. Me and my friend only caught three fish and a accidental coho on darthead, Two of the fish were on tubes near current.
City: daly cityTips: Look for current and warmer water. Check coves in less windy area. Fish were shallow. At least the ones we found. Shallow coves that doesn't seem to exist in this lake probably will warm up the fastest. Also stained water will warm up faster.

Pine Flat Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wet conditions made for some cold fishing. Launched from Lakeridge Marina and fished the banks and points on the NW side of the dam. Caught a keeper on a drop shot, nose hooked six in. Casper worm. Crossed to the N side of the dam because there were some white-water falls pouring into Pine Flat from the surrounding mountains. Threw a wacky rigged senko and had a few bites, but could not hook up, but lord were they there. Ran across the lake by the trailer campground and started fishing structure. Pulled in a two pounder with a river2sea plastic craw while the boat to my left pulled in a 16lb. Carp on a drop shot with 6 lb test.
City: FresnoTips: Fish in the shallows, 5-15ft depth.

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Temp: 52-56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Saturday Hank and I got on the water around 9am. Lake Sonoma came up about 10 feet since last time I was out here a couple weeks ago, and it was already at full pool then. There are submerged oak trees that are usually never it the water. All the storms we’ve had lately really muddied up the arms, but the main body still had around 3 foot visibility. Hank caught a three pounder first thing on a 3/8 oz jig with a smallie beaver. It came out of 20 feet of water on a rock pile near the marina. We went back into the warm springs arm and fished the running water from the creeks entering the lake. I caught a couple 2lbrs flipping a 5in white tube. Then Hank caught one around 4.5lbs one the jig. Some of the creeks had warmer (55 deg.), and clearer water coming in. Those were the ones that were holding the fish. We went back to the rock piles around the narrows and I caught a 2.5lb smallie on a 3in Dry Creek Tube. At this point in was about 3pm and we decided to make the run up north to see if our creek pattern would work there. After hitting about 20 creeks, we finally found one that looked good. I flipped the white tube all the way in the back and stuck one close to 9lbs, my largest out of Sonoma. By the end of the day we had around 22lbs for our largest 5 bass. Because of our success we decided to fish the Marine Unlimited Tournament on Sunday. It was cold and drizzly all day. We started off on a rock pile and caught a 1.5lb on a jig. We spent the next couple hours fishing rock piles, but only caught a couple short fish. We moved to the creek pattern, but I could tell that the air temp was too cold. The water coming in was the same temperature as the lake. We hit just about every damn creek in the lake, and finally at 1pm a caught a 5lbr on a Texas rigged Brush Hog. It was in the creek next to where I caught the 9lbr the day before. We continued to bounce around the lake fishing creeks, but had no luck. With about 5 minutes left, we were fishing right by the ramp, and caught a 2.5 lb smallie on a jig. 3 bass totaling 9.2 lbs was the total weight. I was quite disappointed with the results, but to my surprise, we still ended up finishing 6th place out of 38 boats. Almost half the boats blanked and only a few caught 5 fish limits. Sunday was definitely a tough day, but with this warm weather we are getting this week, things should really start turning on!

Water Temp: 50 ish
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished marine unlimited yesterday caught 3 keeper smallies and one largemouth. All on dropshot.5 short fish as well. Fish were in 10 feet or less, the deeper fish would not bite. The fish on the bank were white from being in deeper water.
City: CloverdaleTips: Once you find them stay with the wind and those fish. With cold rising water steeper banks will hold fish as fish rise vertical with the water.
Dropshot and jigs, no bite just pressure. Stay with your area in these type conditions.
