California Delta
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at New Hope - Fast running chocolate water, at least we didn't run into too many floating trees! Ran past Hog, Beaver, Sycamore sloughs looking for less chocolate...no hits, even in stained. Used everything in the arsenal. Guess I'll clean out and detail the boat.
City: FolsomTips: Wait a couple weeks unless you know exactly where to go for clearer water...we don't. May try Folsom Lake for some dropshotting since it's our backyard. But prefer the Delta.

Camp Far West Lake
-
Water Temp: 48-50
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 7-3 caught 10 fish 9 on deep diving crank baits and 1 on a spinner bait. Fish were up shallow in the morning and backed off into about 15'-20' in the afternoon. We caught all of our fish in one spot. Best 5 fish went 16-17 lbs. Big fish was a 4 lb large mouth caught by my partner.
City: LincolnTips: bang the bottom and fish slow.

Eastman Lake
-
Water Temp: 52.9 to 54.6
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The second ramp on the east side or back side of the lake is now closed as water is up on half of the parking lot so the east main ramp is holding the dock now. Bass fishing is still good on bass to 3 1/2 pounds most bass are hold in 15 to 40 feet of water and are still hitting jigs.I added a color as the water is getting more stain to it so i went to Green pumpkin black, green crystal/blue,black flake and a 5" single tail yamamoto grub in chartreuse w/black flake (156 ) as my trailer. Most bass were holding on or around rock piles. water temp was 54.6
City: maderaTips: fish slow bass are hold to more structure now as the water comes up new structure is back in the water and there are some nice rock piles that are now in 18 to 30 feet of water and more trees and brush piles are also in deeper water.

Folsom Lake

Water Temp: 49-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Brown's revine at 09:00 hours. Temperature at 36 degrees with a light breeze out of the SW. 3 rigs in the parking lot as I was launching and 2 others arrived as I was pulling away from dock. Water Temp at 49.7 degrees to start with and warmed to 50degrees by 2pm. I fished only the South as I am trying to disect this side. I haven't fished the South much over the last year and a half. I had 3 bites all on a green pumpkin jig. I threw tube, dropshot and dart head as well. I caught a 4lb 10oz and a 3lb 4oz from one area and I am sure there were more fish there. I also caught a 2lber. All spotted bass that looked like footballs. They are eating real good and that is great news. Bait was scattered today. I found some bait in 20 feet as well as 50 feet. All bites came in about 15 feet of water away from the bait. What a beautiful day to be on the water. I needed to get the boat out and test it since I just got it back from the shop. I was told that water reclaimation dept will not let lake water level drop below 404. We will see. Get out there and fish...Happy New Years everyone. There were about 6 other rigs in the parking lot when I left.
City: EDHTips: One other guy that I spoke with also caught a 4 plus pound spot as well. He had two bites all day. So bites are few and in between but good quality fish. I hope this information is helpful. I notice that not many other fishermen are willing to share their information. I don't know why.

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: launched at G.B. around 11. fished up north for a couple dropshotting. cold and slow. then when pulling off ramp to go tie up to my suprise, here comes the california kid Skeet Reese. what a nice guy. i got him to sign my folsom pass and even talked to him a little. he said he was not there to fish but to shoot for berkely. so an all right day turned in to a great one.

McClure Lake

Water Temp: 54-57
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Been out five times in the past two weeks with today being the slowest of all the days. With that said still caught twenty+ fish today between myself and my old man. All spots, with the biggest just over four lbs. Most fish came dartheading in 10-30ft, some jig fish, but fewer than the previous trips. Also caught two swimbait fish, which has been about the same every trip (the big spot caught on my first cast with the big bait today).
City: TurlockTips: The darthead has been pretty consistent with fish in the two plus pound range. However the majority of the big fish have come on the jig and swimbait. Fish have consistently been in the 30ft range, but it seems like they have been moving up as shallow as 5ft at some point in the day (even today after the cold front moved through lastnight). Good luck, Mcclure has been hot for me and producing a bigger avg fish than I can remember!!

Report: hey bass man,
i have not been out for the last 2 weeks however i plan to be there friday as well. in the past weeks i have not been catching a ton of fish however the ones coming to the boat are ones to be proud of. most of the bass i have been catching are from 2.5 to 3.5 lbs and the drop shot has been king of the hill for the most part followed by a rip bait and a swim bait.. the fish are using all available depths but around 15 to 25 has been best for me. don't be afraid to go shallow especially if there is grass i got an 8 3 weeks ago off an island top surrounded by grass.
City: san lorenzoTips: im a stickler to colors at this lake, i use natural shad, prizm shad, green pumpkin and oxblood exsclusivly with the occasional showing of warmouth(all robo worms). ripbaits well ghost minnow and table rock is all i throw, and white will work if that's all you have. i hope some of these tips will help. oh yeah all main lake from mid lake north. and coves with creeks coming in.

New Hogan Lake

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Morning started out cold at a brisk 29 degrees. A lil wind put a decent chop on the water. Headed out to creek arms and coves past the spillway in search of so clear water. Visibility was 2-4 feet with a decent current. Caught 3 decent keepers up to 3lbs. Was using 1/2 oz. blue and black football jig with a blue and black rage craw trailer. found all three on shael piles on grassy banks on backside of points where the current was passing by fast. First bite was two hard taps. Other two were pressure bites. Pops hooked into a decent smallie using a texas rigged blueblack rage craw. Fished everything really slow taking up to about three minutes to bring in the jig. Went tto try the Claveras arm but water was very muddy with zero visibily and lots of crap in the water.
City: OrangevaleTips: Fish very slow. When you think you are slow, slow down even more.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Hey Ray, all of the above what AB stated and my brother and I also throw senkos in watermelon/red flake at the docks, dropshot white or wtrmln/rf 4" yamamoto cut-tail worms at the rockpiles. Slow roll 3/8" spinnerbaits also works but we generally stick with the plastics. Increase the worms to 6" sometimes gets bigger fish but we've gotten 2-5lbers on 4" worms just the same. They're decent but at Clear Lake, they're not the big ones. Clear Lake has your homestate quality bass! Good fishin!!
City: folsomTips: All of the above...you'll get more tips when you hit the launch and the water.
