      Report: went out sun. between me and my buddy we caught 5 bass and lost a few.the five we had would have went about 13. 3 3s 2 2s crankin and dropshottin

      Report: posting a late report. went out sunday and got into good fish. avg. fish was 4-5 pounds, with big fish for the day a 11 pounder. caught them all fishing slow. everyone i talked said the bite was tough but its not you have to figure the fish out. george could be telling the truth don't hate on him because you can't catch fish right now.

      Tips: no tips sorry i fish a lot of tournaments.

      Report: Overall a tough bite but still managed some good fish.there must have been 30 boats in franks tract
      And fishing for most was slow.strippers and pike were crushing spinnerbates but bass were pretty hard to come by. every day is different right now with the warming trend . supposed to be 80 degree this weekend. Fish On.

      Report: Hey there What Ever,

      It was slow on Sunday but there were fish to be had. I caught six, two dinks and 4 keepers over near Isleton. the two largest were in the 4 to 5+ range. I can send yo a picture of the larger one, if you like. Soooo .... maybe George did catch a six lber, or maybe he just can't judge size but don't say he didn't catch any fish. I did.

      Report: fished for stripers in Broad slough but no takers. My 10 year old son wanted to toss crawdad pattern crankbaits around Sherman Lake. In one of the backwaters, while I am casting for "linesides", he decides to hook into a 7 lb. female largemouth. He managed to land it on a medium shimano crucial spinning rod. This kid gets better every season. I am giving up my new addiction for stripers and getting back to Bass. The females seem to be loaded with eggs just like the 2 beasts I recently caught at Contra Loma.

      Report: Man what a day...launched at 9:30AM and started fishing shortly thereafter. Best day of the year so far for me. I caught and released 16 fish with my best 5 coming in at 18.7 lbs. Caught several nice 3-4lbers and a beautiful 6-10 toad. All fish were taken on a shakey head worm just north of the county park. I lost numerous fish as well and noted that many of my bites were VERY aggressive, they were savaging the shakey head worm I was using BIG TIME.

      Report: Fished from an inblatable boat from 7am to 3pm. Trees on the south side completely out of the water. Water is very muddy and ice cold. Did not have any bites. Tried everything in my box. Talked to 4 other guys during the day, they had no bites either.

      Report: Fished Del Valle all day on Sunday. The water level is really low. Lake was drained to avid the flooding they had last year. Water had risen 5' due to rains last week. Run-off from snow is keeping the water cold. Headed out at 7am, tried fishing shallow at first. Caught a 3lb trout on a 6" senko. Then we lost it when the stringer came loose. :(

      Threw everything in the arsenal. One missed bite under structure.

      One guy in a kickboat said he caught an 18" striper.

      Tips: Fish slow and deep. With the water as shallow and cold as it is, the bass are hessitant to move up.

      Report: Hit the north fork area first with crankin and ripin, got two smallies. As long as we had ripples on the water that was working ok. Jigs worms and Lizards on a split shot fishing in 20-30 ft near Beal's Point also was working. Find the warmest water and start looking for the bed fish in shallow water around small rock with sand. The south fork did nothing for us this trip.

      Report: Fished sunday and monday evening for 1.5 hrs and landed 2 fish on each outing. Kreature baits up shallow and throwing a watermelon tube. buddy got nice 3+ Lb spot on a rip and another on a spinnerbait shallow. This warm weather really seems to be moving the fish up shallow.

      Report: Started out in main body, nada, fish have moved to up river or creek channels. Tried one of my favorite creeks, threw swim bait nada, picked up a jig and whammo, 10 lbs for three. Wind changed, coming from northeast, my next spor the wind was going wrong way. Went past Jack's tried the old bridge, two bites, probably trout. Met up with a friend of mine , we shared catches and shot hte bull. His catch included a kicker and he took a photo of it. We dumped all our fish and left to go up river.

      Tips: Like I said yesterday, the fish are starting to move as me and another friend each caught them in four feet. We saw a youngster catch twoo around us. Take it up the creeks and prespawn areas. Good fishing, jimbo

      Report: Fished Sat. morning for about four hours and Sunday for two hours and caught all of my fish shallow on jigs. Caught one fish on a senko, first one of the year.Half of the fish bit hard and the others were just a pressure bite.Keep moving to find the fish, when you get one, fish the area slow and methodical for more bites.Saturday I caught five that went 14 lbs with the best fish a l.m. at 4 lbs. It seems all the fish have been 2.5 lbs or better. Sunday I had three fish all 2 -3 lbs.Good fishing , Paulbo.

      Tips: I haven't had any success with reaction baits , however I'm not spending as much time with them. Brown hula grubs on a football head and shad senko's.

      Report: Six other boats on lake. Nice weather. Water was MUCH warmer in shallow water near the banks than the center of the lake. Picked up a nice smallie, 4 pounds, trolling for trout just east of the boat ramp. The smallie took a rainbow needle fish, behind flashers, in about 30' of water. Another boat had a couple of 15" trout caught on nightcrawlers behind flashers.

      Tips: Watch for floating wood! Lots of tree limbs floating all over the lake. Many are hanging vertical with only a small amount of wood showing on the surface. KEEP A SHARP LOOKOUT!

      Report: Got onto the water at 1300 fished middle fork points and coves through spinners and rip's "nothing" fishing was tough had one bight on a splitshot 4 1/2" worm. Good Luck!!!

      Report: I fished today behind all the recent storms we recently had. Fished up North and the weather was cool with a slightly steady breeze. My partner ripped a few fish early but then it just became tough!! Fished then came on Soft plastics fishing SLOW!!!! A little frustrated over the production of number of fish lately. Fished seemed really scattered and were at all different depths. If anyone can make a suggestion, please let me know

      Report: On the water about 8:30 fished main body points with jerk baits, cranks, blades forgot the swimbait, jig and drop shot. Finally around 1 pm while drop shotting i hooked a 5.04 Smallie and then about an hour after that a 2.5 black on a darterhead and that was it for the day. Sunny and warm. Spoke with a two other boats and they said that they did not get a single bite all day.

      Report: One of our nicest days ever on San Justo... overcast sky with little or no wind all morning. Lots of trout anglers catching many of the 1800 lbs of trout planted last week. Many bass anglers, too, bringing total boat count to 17 at one point.
      John got two nice bass (2 lb 15 oz and 2 lb 7 oz) within first 30 minutes, both caught on T-rigged green pumpkin Yamamoto craw in 7 feet of water on a main lake point. Both were very subtle bites, noticed only because the line moved to the side. I made a lot of casts with a 10" Castaic Platimum swimbait in trout finish searching for cruisers but only managed to move a lot of water. Also tried craw-colored cranks and lipless lures, spinnerbaits, buzzbait, Tiger Tube, Swimming Senko, PowerBait lizard, chatterbait, and weedless spoon with craw trailer...no bites on any of them. Fished from the water's edge out to 25-30 feet but no takers.

      Tips: Water temperature remains 54 degrees and we saw no evidence of beds even though there is a full moon. Apparently the recent cold rains and hail have kept the water too cold for the start of the spawn.

      Report: Got a nice 4#er on senco first thing this afternoon. Then nothing for the rest of the day. Several people said they hadn't had a bite at all. First time fishing this lake. Seems to have alot of pressure on it there must have been 20 people on the bank and another 20 on the water. Got my fish in some tules and then my friend at the end of the day pulled up a dink in the same place. Honestly, wasn't really impressed.
