I have been told to replace the fuel line from the mercury red label to the new blue label. Since my current fuel line has a larger black fuel line to the bulb then the red label gray line, do I need to replace the black line too or just the the gray line. Hopefully someone knows what I'm talkin abo...

I need to replace the piece that operates the anti reverse. The switch lever and the plastic part it is attached to comes out, so it appears that it broke on the end. Can I get this part or do I need to send the reel in?

Remember back about 10 + years ago? Everyone: Skeet, Folkstad, Gliebe, Sapp, and Reynolds all rode in 18.5 ' boats. I drew Andre Moore once in an 18' Ranger with a 150 carburetor motor. That's what the sponsors provided and they were still beating everyone and making a career. If you're on fish, no ...

I have a 10 + year old North Face Gore-Tex parka and it still looks good and doesn't leak. I use Cabela's guide wear bibs and they are also of great quality. I would say make sure it's Gore-Tex and you'll be good for years.

I change the impeller myself every two years and it always looks good. A friend who was a Merc mechanic told me that's what he did with his boats. Oh yeah. I've been there twice. Once, water got into the lower unit/motor. There is an "O" ring that can fail. Another time, it was the "fully sealed digital circuit board that never fails" that failed. Jay Liu fixed mine. He can fix it in a couple hours while you wait. It's just some cash.

The trailer brake pads are usually pretty common. You should be able to find a shop locally that carries them. You should be able to get the part #'s from a trailer or Ranger website. Or, pull off a caliper and take it to a shop that sells trailer parts and match up the pads. I recently bought a new...

Another thing that happens is if the lower units gets bumped on a rock, the "O" ring fails allowing water in. This gives the motor a mind of its own. It will run on high without warning. The difference between the switch and water in the lower end is the speed control will still work when the switch...
