Report: Kaweah Lake has been beat on or the last 3 months ever since they shut o the water. When the ishing got really good everyone rom resno to bakersield came over to ish cause the lake was so hot. Now your looking at a lake that is gone downhill and all those ish the bank anglers are taking home, and i you don't know they are ishing every day. You multiplie what each group o 5-10 are taking and it has impacted this lake hard. It happened to success a couple o years ago and that made ish and game change the size to 15 inches. Last month we ished the ull moon with 25-30 other boats, all with 2-3 people onboard. every boat had hooked 15-20 ish. That makes 400-600 ish that night. Nothing over 2 lbs. was caught. Please talk to other ishermen about this because it is going to be brought up to ish and game's attention. Thanks Brian Chance-Kaweah Bassmasters

    Water Temp: 68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Kaweah Bassmasters had a tournament last Sunday 10-13-02 There were 9 boats 18 anglers there were only 6 ish caught in the tournament. 15 inch ish on a lat board mouth closed are to come buy. I think the DFG should take a closer look at the bank isherman who are taking home everything they catch no matter what size it is. Game Wardons know that we as Tournament Anglers have to have license's to even be in a tournament yet they check us irst. Kaweah could have been a trophy lake i the DFG would have payed more attention to what is going on at Lake Kaweah. When people are taking ish home under size they never have a chance to become 15 inch's .

Report: My buddy Viphay and I ished the Visalia Bass Tourn. on Friday. We only caught little ones. Most o the guys took o beore the weigh-in. I guess it was ar rom what everybody expected based on how most did at this same one last year. Maybe the news o the 16 pounder threw everyone o. I think we'll let Kaweah stabelize a bit a try Success where a couple o mistakes at last months tourn. cost us 2nd and possibly 1st.

Report: I'd have to agree with that last report. The ishing has been bad. I did have some luck ishing a white power grub with a spinner bait add on. I caught two ish on consecutive casts just right o the spillway by the dam. I'd say i you wanted to ind ish go deep and look or drop os. First ish was not expected becasue I was opening a drink and my bait went deep. i brought it in slow and caught one 2nd ish was a nice 16 inch large mouth.
    City: Visalia

Tips: Get to the Lake early beore it gets crowded. Fish deeper than usual and try out diernt baits. Pay attention to lure depth and speed when you catch one and continue the same retrieve.
