Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: After spending a little while going through the muscle inspection, we finally got on the water at around 8:30. Starting just south of the boat ramp, we caught several small fish on jigs and drop shots, nothing over 14

Del Valle Lake
-
Water Temp: Warm:)
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I just went to Del Valle to test my 1975 open bow family boat that I put a new steering wheel and steering cable assemby in and of course while I was there I tried the bass and it was slow for me but I did not start until 12:00 so I missed the AM bite, got one 2lber on a watermellon candy 6 inch worm drop shotting in about 2.5 hrs and said OK let see if we can get some trout and got 4 to 18 inches on rainbow power bait, Hey I am a bass fisherman but some times you got to do what you got to do to keep the boy happy.
City: San JoseTips: I would try the south end with senkos and top water early, the water is a little more stained in the south end and fish should not be as skidish, the north end where I fished you could see 8-12 feet down, look like lake Mead, OK lake Mead you can see down 20-30:)To bad you have to be off the water by 7:00 pm because I bet a popper would kill them in coves at dusk. Spoke to a guy that could not launch his Ranger bass boat because it had little water in the live well, if you are not bone dry you will not get on the lake unless you have a band they give you connected to your trailor and boat, He fished from the bank by the docks and got one bass there so you can catch bass from the bank:)

-
Emigrant Lake
-
Water Temp: warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well i guess i am the only one who fishes imigrant anymore, so here you have. 30 to 35 fish one 4.3lm and 3 other lm between 2.5 and 3 pounds. The biggest small mouth was 2 pounds but most were rats. Threw swimmbaits, dropshots, jigs, blades, and darter head worms. It really didn't seem to matter. Then the skiers started to show up and the typical emigrant wind started to blow so we got off the water about 11:15am.
City: medfordTips: I am pretty sure i saw other bass boats out there so how about some reports.
-
-
Folsom Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well the fishing has been good! On sun, the rangers were out @ noon when i got there so stayed in the main lake and dropshoted 10 fish up to 3.5lbs on the main channal drop off in 26ft-44ft then went shallow white on white blades for 6 more with one over 6lbs on rock piles just inside bays in 8-12ft.Mon, went noth and had my bet day in months with 20+ fish and three over 4lbs all on blades white on white.Tuse, same as mon bite without the large fish so i tryed wakey rigging for the first time in open water and it payed off with a 5lbr and lots of rats.Thrs, got the girl friend out to catch some blade fish and she did great with 5 fish for 9lbs not bad i spent my time teaching and back seat driving .She learnd baitcasters and the tm that day and cought limit in a bikini!!! Im in love .
City: rosevilleTips: Look for spots with isolated bolders with deep water on one side and not the other and slow roll blades or cb also.

-
Tenmile Lake
-
Water Temp: warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I've got a great idea for a documentary. Next year starting on July 1st I can find a fellow fishing addict who likes to run a video camera and he can film every fishing trip for 40 days. We could call it 40 Days/40 Fish. Or wait...40 Days/60 Fish! Yeah I like the sound of that better. You could open to the sound of an alarm going off at 4 AM. Zoom in on my ugly mug and see the smile that appears when I realize it's not a dream- I'm going fishin' ! It would be at least as exciting as that "Documentary on Mullosks" that Monty Python was always mentioning. You could also maybe try to give it that "Hoop Dreams" flavor. Any fishing/film students out there want to waste a month of their life....fishing and um...filming? Imagine for a moment the excitement of watching someone take 3 tries to attempt to tie the perfect uni to uni knot- spellbinding!! The touching scene where a father and his young daughter tie up some new jigs! The cussin filled moment (properly bleeped of course) when I snap off yet another good bass. If we got really lucky maybe we could get Brad Paisley to do the background music. He'd probably be up for some bass fishin'! I wonder if Herve Villachez is still alive- "Look boss- de bassboat, de bassboat!"
City: yoncalla, oregonTips: Quit clogging this website with silly ideas.

Anderson Lake
-
Water Temp: 70-74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: winds started early and picked up heavily after 10am. Made fishing tough from a pontoon tube as I was getting blown all over. Managed 3 fish while fighting the unusual morning wind gusts. Found the fish deeper today relating to rocky bottoms.
Tips: only 5 boats at Anderson today? Very weird day indeed.

Bass Lake
-
Water Temp: 78-81
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Only a short time to fish. Around 9AM
picked up a 2# Off the point with the fallen trees, past the Sheriff's tower on a shakey head
with a "bold bluegill" (brown and chartruese) worm. Fought surprisingly better than the bass I
normally catch on Anderson. Between 8AM - 8PM the Lake becomes a freeway of skiers, jetskiers,
and wakeboarders. Cost $35 to register for the year. Tried night fishing for the first time. Got some bumbs on a C-rigged Black Lizard but couldn't get a hook-up. The stars were beautiful.+
City: MontereyTips: First time on the lake.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 74
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: took pops out for some father/son time competition. Things started out well for me with some nice 2's and 3's. My dad caught on with what I was doing to catch them, and thats when fun time turned into trash talking time. He was on the back seat wacky wormin 6" worms and he was killin me. There was one stretch where he caught 3 in a row...all solid sized fish. he started to get into my head with each little jab he threw at me with each fish he caught. He was awfully quiet in the morning...but he was all laughs and smiles with all the fish we boated. Biggest only at 5lbs...but we caught tons of chunks near holland tract. The biggest ticket for us was the low tide and right at the start of the transition from low to hi tide. Worms were the ticket here, withces T, delta special, arons magic. Pretty much any bluegill related color got them to bite. Drop shots and wack rigs were the meal ticket.
Even though i got whacked by my dad, the trip was fun and all the sweeter to hang out with pops.
City: ecTips: Tule Berms with a big deep drop. All banks on the east side were working for us...shaded pockets, and shaded areas next to isolated tule clumps...had all the fish positioned for us to key in on. if you havent caught on with wacky worming...youre missing out!!!

-
Collins Lake
-
Water Temp: 80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Lousy day of fishing...Partly our fault...We put in in mid-afternoon (about 1:30) the air temp was only about 80-85 and we tried everything. I missed a couple on Senkos and that was about it for the firstseveral hours. My Uncle landed one on D-shot and another couple on flukes. I however got blanked until the sun started to set. At that point I switched over to top water and had 2 quick blow ups. Both were 2lbs or so, 1 LM 1 Spot, and that was that.
City: Grass ValleyTips: This lake is way down, 10-15 feet lower than the last time we were on the water. All decent structure I was aware of is now out of the water. If you have GPS now would be a time to go mark way points for when the lake fills again.

California Delta
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got a late start, fished 1030-1440. Spent bulk of time fishing senkos and drop shotting around Frank's on the receeding high tide...caught nothing but alot of wind which made fishing difficult. Switched to weighted brush hog in/on weedline for last hour, before being blowed off the water, finally landing some nice ones-- largest fish 6#.
City: Frank's TractTips: Watch what all the more experienced guys are doing around you.
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Terrorizing the black bass on cheap skirted 1/2 0z jigs(blu/blk red/blk) with brush hog trailers around the docks and rocks at disco....Then a POP-R or Spook for at least an hour. At night, the waters boiling. Banks are producing 2, 3 lbs mostly on top.
Jigs are producing hawgs as usual in between the banks and the weed line. Biggest was 6 lbs on the drop. Slammed it. Same results on the hidden ponds in my backyard.....but better fish.....Is this heaven?
City: Discovery BayTips: I fish JIGS all year round.....They produce big fish and thats that. Flip em, let it sit, tension, count to ten at least if you can and SLAM, if not jig it soft, or not, then let it sit keep your tension count to 5 then again......Start over. Catch most on the cast, so if no hits on my second third jig, flippin 4 feet to the right or the left...so bam....Senkos can be so boring.....But produce. And crank baits too.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished friday afternoon and sat. morning. Did not do well. Friday managed a 5-12 and a 3-10 in the first few hours, but then the wind came up and couldn't fish where I hoped to. Sat. the wind was up from the get go and restricted where I could fish with my tin boat. I know the fish can be really stupid during the summer, but I think I was the only stupid one.
I still like fishing there as its so different than most places.
City: orindaTips: Didn't get many bites, but where I did, it made sense,(humps and ledges) except there were only 1 or 2 bites in areas I normally do well. Fished the rattlesnake arm and the south end. Many banks had mucho weeds, grass or slime.

Coyote Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The lake sucks this year because the big bass decided to protest the Quagga Mussel Inspections this year. Hopefully the situation will be resolved so the bass walk off the picket line.

Del Valle Lake
-
Water Temp: 65-70
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went on a night expedition with a buddy and the water was surprisingly warm and clear for being cold at night. We started out with nightcrawlers and ended up with 6 3-4lb catfish, a 5lb striper and a 15inch throwback striper. We also caught another 3lb cat on a live crawfish that was caught at the lake. The catfish bite right now is excellent and stripers can be had in the mornings and evenings near the dam.
Please note that night fishing is illegal and you could end up with a trespassing charge.

Tenmile Lake
-
Water Temp: 72-74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Took a new friend out to Cottage Grove today. We went in my boat this time and had a real good day. We started the day off with me hooking a good fish and then having it pull off 1/2 way back to the boat! That's fishing. Two casts later we each hooked one- a 19"- 3 lb.,13 oz. for me and a 17"- 2 lb.,9 oz. for him. Seven minutes later we get another double and this time he gets the big one. An 18"- 2 lb.,12 oz. for him and a 17"- 2 lb.,8 oz. for me. Then 10 minutes later I snap off a good one on the hookset- darn adrenalin! Tie up another jig and get a 17"- 2.11. Then the bite kinda died so we moved a bit. The next spot wasn't producing so we tried a 3rd spot. Five minutes apart I got a 19"- 3.7 and a 16"-2.4. The 3.7 looked kinda nasty. It had sores on the tip of both gill plates and seemed like it should have went at least 4 plus- big frame but kinda skinny really. Then it died off again so we headed up the creek. I got a chatterbait fish that was 15"-2.1. Then my buddy got a nice hard fighting 19"- 3.7! Five minutes later I got a 14 1/2"- 1.13. What a whopper. We ended up with 27.7 for 10 fish between us. Best 5 went 16.1. I ended up with 14.11. We had a little over 14 lbs. before 7 AM. The coolest catch of the day was when my buddy was tossing a firetiger squarebilled crank and he reels in and says "Look at this". I turn and he's holding the lip of the bait and a 3" bass managed to spear itself in the back of its tiny little head. It's for sure my favorite picture of the whole trip. Looking forward to fishing with him again- he knows how to fish and we had a lot of laughs. Amazingly enough we didn't talk hoops/sports for more than 5 minutes of the 6 hours we were in the boat. Next trip- I know he loves hoop as much as I do so I'm sure we'll go again.
City: yoncalla, oregonTips: Grab your favorite heavy rod- tie on a jig- drive to lake- cast- be patient- hook good bass- smile- repeat! Summer only lasts so long so don't cry to me- make the most of it!! 40 bass since June 30th- 119 lbs., 6 oz.. What are you doing this weekend?
