Eastman Lake
-
Water Temp: 65-68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: On the water about 6:30 off about 2:00. Fished the flats early and the deeper rocks later in the day. The cold front must have knocked the bite a bit as we only had about 10 fish total.
Slow bite on Jigs, dropshot and sinkos. My Bro had a few chase a top water spook. Most where dropshot green punk/red the bigger fish where about 6" off the bottom in 12 to 15 feet of water. They thru jigs and dropshot Me I thru every crank bait and blade in the boat. I just had a great day to wash them all off. Laugh!
The weather should settle back down in a few days and the bite will pick back up. First time back on the lake in about 3 months. I see that there are others that have found my big fish as well. Yes there are at least 3 over 15# and one 19#. I also had one on the bent my Heavy swimbait rod in half. I have put some big fish in the boat off this lake. Remember PLEASE weigh them get the length girth and put them back so someone can have the thrill next time. "IF" you think you have a record the rangers will be more than glad to certify it for you. If they are not there have pictures showing the scale with the fish and 4 people to witness the fish. Most of all keep it alive. No need to kill a wonderful fish when you can have a fake one made to the same size for 1/3 the price.
Have fun and be safe.....
City: FresnoTips: The wind and Rain pushed the fish deeper so give it a day or so to settle down. Guessing would be Blades and spooks early. Cranks in craw or shad paterns shallow to 15 feet. Deep swimbaits around the dam and on humps always work.

Water Temp: ? shore fished
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: We went in from the brentwood side, My first trip to the lake. Started at the peir and worked our way west along the shore line. Fishing for bass the lake was down about 10' from full and there wasnt much stucture to speak of.We walked about three miles in and caught three fish total as wind made it difficult to make long casts. First lm was approx 1.5lbs on a football head and smoke hula grub second and third were caught on a six robo warmouth on a darthead. fished for all of six hours. 2nd fish went approx 4.5 and third went approx 5lbs.
City: knightsenTips: Go early n get out before it warms up in the afternoon. we saw four rattlers coming back through the rocky areas on the shoreline and wear bug repellent! total 5 ticks found crawling on pant legs. Im guessing fishing is a lot less risky in a boat but then again I hear the prices are pretty high!

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 62-69
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I had another father/son team out Monday. The weather was still cloudy and windy but no rain while we were out. I had them throw baby bass spooks fisrt thing on points on the West Branch in the morning with mixed results. Only 4 blow-ups and one to the boat. It was the first time they had thrown top water but they really liked seeing the bass jump all over their lures. We then moved up the North Fork and found lots of feeding bass, all post spawn. The useual tubes and senko's provided them with around 25 bass but only one over. The bite was soft and they missed a lot of bites. All and all it was a great day on the lake. It was hard to believe that it was Memorial Day, there was so few pleasure boats and skiers out there.
City: ParadiseTips: Colors on the tubes were watermelon and clear sparkle and the senko's were smoke/purple and pumkpkin and laverder shad. Dart head worms and beavers were also working. The reaction bite is getting better as the water warms up. Some of the bites were right on the bank and others came from 20+feet.

Chabot Lake
-
Water Temp: 67-72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Me,my buddy, and our kids went up for about 6 hours. We got on the lake at about 7am. We were trolling along the shore and near rocks. Around 8:30 my daughter had a bite, but it jumped off the hook. At about 10am my dauter had another bite when we were trolling along the tule using a yellow spinner about 3feet deep, and this time she had it. It was about 13inches and about 1.6 pounds. We let it go and moved on.For her thats a pretty big fish. Later at 11:15 my buddies daughter caught a small hatcher trout in a cove. As my buddy was helping his daughter his pole began bending. Found out he had a 2pound, female, trout on his line in the same excact spot, must have been related. At 1 we left to BBQ some trout. Was an OK day over all.
City: Rohnert PakTips: troll slow in coves and along the shore. If fishing off the shore worms seemed to be working.
GOOD LUCK!

Folsom Lake

Water Temp: did'nt look
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I have been reading reports from this web site for a few years now, and have decided I am going to start posting reports. I fish every weekend and feel I have some info that can be usefull. I was on the water by 6 a.m., little to no wind. Threw reaction to no avail. First 2 casts with a swim bait (small blue huddleston shad) landed a 8 lb, and a 5 lb. On a major body point, did'nt hardly feel the take, but it was taken on the fall, both times. After that it shut down, a few 1-2 lbers on a drop shot in 10-15 ft of water. My best day on Folsom yet, 19 lbs. Check out the pic on the photos!
City: El Dorado hills, CaTips: fish slow after the front, check your line OFTEN on the drop shot. Best bites were before the sun came up in the shallow on points. Good luck.
