Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I know. I was not at CJ Strike this time!
We had a great time, LOTS of Bass, 100 - 150 for Monday & a few hours Tuesday. All small mouths. Most were females schooled up in 20 to 30 feet of water. We found them in eddies down stream of cliff points.
We also got 6-8 crappies only 1 eater size & 2 3 + pound cats.
We have sore arm for all of those fish but the longer drive will stop this from being on our have to do again soon list.
City: BoiseTips: Drop shoting was the key. The bights were light but the fights were good.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out with my wife and fishing buddy. He was in his boat. My wife and I caught 26 fish mostly Spots. They were sooo skinny. They looked like Trout. Our best 5 weighed less than 5.00 LB's. My buddy caught the biggest fish 2.02 LB. They fought hard though and were a lot of fun to catch.
Like the previous report we concentrated on the Narrows. We had boat trouble my engine would not tilt down.
We used Drop Shot and Split Shots to catch them. Zero reaction strikes. We tried Cranks and Spinner Baits.Next time we'll head to the main lake to look for bigger fish.
City: W.SacTips: Take your wife, friends and kids fishing!!
Launch fees went up at all the marinas.
Markley Cove is now $20.00 to launch. The good news is there appears to be less skiers out due to the high gas prices.

Report: What the hell happened to the Island pond? The weeds are so thick there is no use in even going back there. Its the worst I have ever seen it. Weeds are so thick carp are stuck on top of the water. I made a call to the park district they really need to do something. Besides that great report the Arroyo is not much better. Less weeds but the fishing is slow. Good Luck Out There.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the lake by 7am. Fished the south end of the lake near Jago Bay. First fish of the day went 5lb 10z. Next fish went 4lbs. A lot of 2pounders the rest of the day. Caught most near docks. Our trip was cut short due to battery problems in the engine. Overall good day, 12 bass.
City: Pleasant Hill, CATips: Fish near docks, let senko sink to the bottom. If the senko didnt work throw a drop shot near the same spot, should get a hit. You might not catch a lot of bass, but the ones you will should be nice size.

Diamond Valley Lake
-
Water Temp: 69
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: DVL is one of the hottest southern cal lakes right now. DVL is my home lake and I fished there on Friday, May 30. Friday was the best day I ever had there for big fish. I caught three fish over seven pounds and four others over five pounds. I also caught around ten other two and three pounders. I caught two the sevens on big Senkos, and the other almost eight pounder was caught on the small six inch Triple Trout swimbait. All of the others were caught on Texas rigged big worms and the dropshot. At the end of my day I had two more really giant fish bite the swimbait, but one jumped off, and the other broke my knot and kept my Triple Trout. My fault, should have retied, and it was an expensive lesson. Oh yeah, also caught a twelve pound carp on six pound test
Tips: Six inch worms will get more bites, but toss bigger worms, lizards, and brush hogs for bigger fish. If you see any top water action, toss a big top water bait or the swimbait. When all else fails, fish the dams and wacky rig the Senko on light line.

City: central pointTips: Fish slow and work your baits into 15 feet of water. Bite was sluggish. Good luck to all you tourney guys at the last event of the year.
