Report: From DVL Marina
The water here at Diamond Valley is almost glass flat. Here are some tips for fishing when the water is so calm.
Keep your distance - try to stay as far back as possible when targeting bass in calm water
Go natural - present natural looking baits
Speed up - when it’s calm, there’s nothing to obscure the bass’ view, so you'll want to manufacture an obstructed view by fishing fast
Quiet down - without any wind creating background noise, it’s important to fish as quiet as possible because bass' hearing is heightened too when the water is calm
Come on down to Diamond Valley Lake ! We're open until 5:30pm

Report: From DVL Marina | May 18th is finally here! We are so excited to welcome back the private boat anglers! Starting tomorrow we will be opening up at 5:30am and closing at 6:30pm. We will be down at the bottom of the hill at 4:30am to start boat inspections and collecting fee's so please try to remember to bring cash so the line runs faster. See you soon!
Just wanted to clarify why we are not having night tournaments this year. We don't know how long we will be receiving water, not enough staffing right when we reopen the launch ramp, dangerous shallow areas you might not see in the dark that recently is right under the water level, water coming in too fast. Fish and Wildlife will be issuing tournament permits starting in November due to all the variables that we are running into.
