Eastman Lake

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Me and my partner were the second boat on the water, not much wind everything looked perfect. Started shallow 1 to 10 feet, partner caught one quick that went 2.5 pounds. We did'nt get bit for about another 30 minutes, it seems like this lake is just being fished very hard right now. We caught fish all over the lake, but most of them were small, I broke one off near the keep out bouy line. We caught them on jigs worms and brushogs, all shallow. Are biggest fish was just under three pounds. We ended up catching 14 fish but not as good as I wanted to do. Oh well it was still fun and a great day. Good luck!!
City: CoalingaTips: Keep fishing a wide range of depths, fish are from the surface to 15 feet or more and there crusing all over the lake.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: First time post. Decided to give back to this great forum. Anyway, fished from 6-11 and caught 15 up to 3.5lbs. Fished the main body, fish were 4-10ft deep and were caugth on worms. Most of the smaller fish seemed to be in the willows with the larger fish on rocks. Just a general observation. Family came out at 11 and my 2yr old caught his first bass!!! What a day!
City: RosevilleTips: Get out and fish! This weather is amazing!

Lafayette Lake
-
Water Temp: unknown
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from shore for three hours this morning - knocking off around noon. There are a large number bass up in the shallows, probably due to the warm weather we've had for the last week and a half. Saw about a dozen fish today. Only problem was they saw me as well. Caught one in a group of four, on a "paddle fry" swimming minnow bait. Fish weighed about 3 lbs...and it was the smallest of the four. Released it right away.
City: Daly CityTips: Patience is the key. These bass are not that easy to catch. Watch out when accessing the water from the shoreline...tons of poison oak everywhere.

Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wasco Bass Club blasted at 600hrs for its 3rd tourn.of this year.Last week during pre fishing
me and my partner had a great day landing approx.
25 fish, small and large mouth. We were catching
them on black spinners and crawfish red pattern
cranks. Now on the day of the tourn.we couldn't
strike a match in a major black-out.We caught about 15 fish but no keepers for weigh-in.We did
land one for the scales at about 1000 hrs. when we thought all hope was gone.A monster 8.25 lbs
black bass giving us a 9th standing.Talking about
luck this couldn't had happen at a better time saving us from a Blank.O ya it was big of the tourn. And we also found out the fish are staging
in the coves and flats.
City: BakersfieldTips: I caught that 8.25 bass on an aaron magic but for the best results use black lizards or green medium
brush hogs and small skinner bear jigs with this you can't go wrong, yes they are on beds and staging up.If you don,t beleave me do it your way.

Water Temp: 54-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished small club from Medford, OR on Shasta last Saturday. I caught only 7 fish and nothing over 2.5, but all were keepers. I caught most of mine early on Lucky Craft jerk bait. Bite got very tough late, but I had some luck on crank bait. I was 5th with 7.4 lbs. First place was only 9.4 lbs. Not Shasta experts by far, but we had a great day and a good time. I want to thank JERRY for going out of his way to give me some pointers. The information was better than the execution. Art

Water Temp: 59-62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 7-12 today at the rockslide at the entrance to the narrows. First two casts, two bites but no fish. Boated 2 dinks on plastic and one on a rattletrap. Got ready to go and the big motor would not crank over. Dan O'Sullivan, owner of Lim-it Lures, stopped to help. When the jumpstart did not work he towed me all the way to Cappell. Thanks again, Dan. A great lure and a really nice fisherman. I wish your company much success in the future.
City: WoodlandTips: Check the meter on your batteries before you launch. Save yourself the aggravation.

Chabot Lake

Water Temp: ???
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Rented a boat and caught about 6 bass. The biggest was about 2.5Lbs. we fished around indian cove by the tulles and got sooooooooooooo many hits. all fish were taken in about 10ft of water or less.
by the end of the day, we headed toward the island... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we saw bass that were easily 13Lbs!!!!!!!! no joke!!! i saw at least 3 that were that size and a bunch more that were in the 5-8lb range.
we tried everything to hook these bad boys but had no luck. my friend used a jig and kept casting it in front of one... he pissed it off a few times because it hit, but my friend never hooked it. that one was easily 7Lbs.
City: HaywardTips: fish VERY slow. make sure you try several colors and if you can see the fish, the fish can probably see you... so get further away and keep trying.
also, you definitely need to rent a boat or take your own to catch the bass. -

Report: Everybody I talked to said they got one or two fish today. Went to Alder point and meet some cool people who helped me out due to the fact that I am really new to fishing. Thanks Coolcatt!
Anyways, no luck for me despite staying for 5 hours but everybody I spoke to said they caught 1-3 fishes. Anybody want to fishing tomorrow and teach a newbie? I'll pay for the boat, you teach me the basic! Thinking of going doing Chabot again or Del Valle either tomorrow or Sunday.
City: San FranciscoTips: Talk to people, everybody is really nice.
