Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: O. K. , here we go or the bank guys or today. I agree with Castaic Dave as well, the overall action was slow and short lived today. 6:45am to 10:00am. 1 ish on a live nightcrawler and 1 small guy on a small plastic. O.K. bite rom 7:00am to 8:00am and then the bite just dropped o completely! The pressure had been dropping until 9:30am but it made no dierence either way ater 8:00am.
City: Los AngelesTips: Once again, light line, move it along slow, until we get around 62 degrees then you might be able to speed it up ater then. Right now the best tip is...., put the keys in the ignition and try. Now's the time you could hook a monster! Good Luck!

Report: O. K. This is or anyone tired o seeing "old" ish reports. The reports you will see rom me are or olks who are walking the banks. I like boats, but or getting in, then out quickly, there's nothing like your eet! So, here we go.The ish are starting to move up rom deeper water now. Water has been let in on & o via the aqua duct system lately. It stains the water but does'nt look like it's hurting the bite TOO much. You'll ind (or now)the BEST bite rom 7:00am to 11:00am, then it REALLY dies o. I you need more ino Call Sport Chalet (310) 657-3210 #356 Ask or Mike Watkins in the ishing dept. For the rest o the season I'll punch in here to keep the reports CURRENT!!!
City: Los AngelesTips: Lots o things work here! But day in, day out, you can't beat ishing split shotted small plastics! When I want a client to catch at least SOMETHING I give them this set-up!Light line is key. I use 4lbs test alot! I RARELY get skunked, or what it's worth. Right now I'm hooking 1 to 3.5lbs ish just walking the shore or a ew hours. Fish SLOW, SLOW, & SLOW. Move the plastic ONLY a couple o inches at a time. I suggest a long rod 6'6" to 7'6" you'll get out arther, you'll stay on the bottom longer, which

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The bass are on!!Fishing in 1-5t o water, rom shore, on the upper lake, the bass are in ull spawn activity. I've never seen so many bass in one place, at one time, and so close to shore, ever beore in my lie. there must have been 3 schools o 12-20 inch bass. in each school, there were at least 30 ish. I tried down shotting and even small bite sized crayish, placed under there noses, but could not get a bite. Finally i re-tied, a split shot presentaion with a reaper and 1/4 oz slip shot. that did the trick! the strikes came on "the all". the best spots are the least disturbed!!!thats all I'm saying or now. the bites still on and I dont want everyone ishing it out. send E-mail to lurelord@yahoo.com or exact location. (boat traic is prohibited in this area, but, is close to ramp)hope this ino helps.john

Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Casitas Sunday evening or hal an hour, all day Monday and Tuesday, Apr. 9-11. Son, John, ishing rom shore Sunday evening, caught a 4 lb. Bass on a buzz bait in a oot o water near shore on North side o Wadleigh Arm. That ish kept us rom being skunked, as we got no urther hits during 20 hours o ishing rom a rental boat. The water was very clear, 62 degrees. We saw literally dozens o ish rom one to seven pounds lazily cruising beneath the boat. They reused all our presentations, including everything rom 2-inch white grubs to split-shot and drop-shot 4
Tips: I your goal is just to catch some ish, even dinks, try small white curl-tail grubs or 4-inch worms on 4-6 lb. Flourocarbon line. I you'd preer to catch larger ish, you might try a wacky-worm or Hannon's swimming worm method (neither o which I tried, but they might work where other, more conventional methods ailed miserably).

I was drop shotting (tried ox-blood, purple), using jigs, and crawdad colered cranks. Nothing! I putzed around the lake or awhile looking or signs o lie, noone home. Then I went to the ski arm to the large canyon next to the island. Something said switch to carolina rig, I did! First cast, WHAM a nice 2.7lber emale hit my ox-blood. Then I went back to the same place next cast Wham, one hit it then shook o ater lying up to say hello. I was able to put 2 more in the boat all in 30 min time. Then it shut down.
