Report: took the old man for the day.did not get on the water till about 11:00,he does not like to get up early, went to las tables whats left of it.like the report from ken the best method was to shake small worms.we cought most of ours though around what floating docks and pontoon boats we could find.he did catch two largemouth and one was as easy 3lber which is real hard to find in this lake.when we call it a day here we just troll back for white bass and we cought quite a few nothing to bid 1.5-2.0 lb average.as usual though and it is october during the week the jetskies and skiers out number the fishermen 10 to 1.this poor lake and they are allmost done with the new ramp a four lane with new parking lot will make it a complete zoo this summer dont even bother going.although all the bouldres around it for erosion will make a good spot to fish.

    Water Temp: 75 degrees

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Naci from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM. 6" Keeper Custom Worms in any shad colors, numbers 170, 1064, 1048 were all good. 1/8th oz. darthead shook lightly in 5 to 15 feet of water. Any main lake points with rock held fish. Bigger fish next to deep water on steeper rock banks. Caught 30 fish with the largest five going 9 1/2 lbs. Nothing great but alot of fun. Skiers not a problem until about 10:00. Still more than enough time to get'um though. Look for topwater to get better with the warmer weather in the forcast. Fish were chasing shad on the surface early but found throwing the worm on the light darthead got the bites just under the surface alot better than the Pop R's or Zara Spooks I tried.
    City: Paso Robles

Tips: Let the worm fall slowly on the light jighead and subtly shake the rod tip just a couple inches up and down. When the bite happens the line just sort of tightens up. Let the fish load up and reel set. Good Luck, Ken

    City: Camp Roberts

Tips: suggest using glitter green power bait or chartruese power baits when fishing the river,Size 16/18 black treble hooks with 1/2oz split shot weight about 14 to 18 inches from hooks. At lake try plastics little or no weight casting near rocky edges and weed patches use weedless hooks on your plastic assortment.

Also Senko white/ silver flake worked well . Fished the main lake shoreline and in coves adjacent to deep water all around the Oakshore's area. Caught a wide open boil bite at 6:30 A M on Sat. that lasted over an hour at the mouth of Cantinas in about 20 feet of water.. Used

    Water Temp: 70f - 78F

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished two full days with my dad. We averaged ~ 70 spots per day between the two of us, all small - we were unable to break the 1.5 lb mark. Contrary to our prior experiences, the fishing was slower in the morning and picked up later in the day. Most fish were caught on 4" lizards and worms on both drop shot and 1/8 oz. to 3/16 oz. darter head rigs along rocky shoreline within a moderate cast from 20+ feet of water. Most of the fish had full bellies, about half we caught disgorged shad and crawdads during the fight.
    City: Bakersfield

Tips: Fish lighter/shad color plastics during the middle of the day when the sun is overhead. If fishing drop shot or darter heads, fish relatively slow and maintain contact with the bottom.

Report: started off on spots back in the narrows, cauaght one on a texas rigged 4in. purple worm, and then saw a school of white bass boiling, and we hooked about 30+ whites in about 30 min., on whites fished chartrues spinners, and silver cast masters, basicaly just cast any thing that looks like a shad and they will hit it,whites were about 2pd to 3pd. Hooked spots on a brown hulagrub with 1/8 darter head and 4in. purple worm, caught 2 spots in the hole day, on the rocks.
    City: royal oaks

Tips: fish on week days, lake is crowded with skiers, that make wakes that fly over the sides of the boat. Are get there real early around 6 and leave, before every one shows up.

Report: Haven't been on Naci since January. Have a good buddy coming over from the valley Friday the 9th to do some fishing. Would like to get in on some spotted bass and would LOVE to find the whites, and wouldn't mind a few smallmouth. Would really appreciate some tips as to where to find both and what they're biting on. Have had a lot of luck with the spots at the boat docks in the past, very little luck with largemouth, one smallie, and one year found some schooling whites. Thanks for any help you all can provide.
    City: Atascadero

Tips: Send 'em my way if you don't mind. THANKS!

    Water Temp: 60+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went back last Sunday ... what a beautiful day, sunshine and calm winds ... the fishing for us was not nearly as good as it was the week before. But we did spend a lot of time fishing for those white bass. Still learning how to catch dem buggers. Ended up w/ only 5 of them hard fighting sun-of-guns.

Bass fishing on the other hand is still wide open. They're up cruising looking for beds. Schooled up shallow ... some may already be on beds ... I thin we ended up with "only" about 60 bass for the boat. Still a great day ...
    City: Santa Clara, CA

Tips: The bass are hitting just about anything you throw at them. Though the bite has been good, they're not agressively attacking baits. Still feel like a winter bite, just weight.

Report: There's water that's crystal clear to chocolate ... but the spotted bass bite is non-stop. Catch them till your arm cramps (as happened to my friend).
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: They're biting on slow moving plastic on the bottom ... catch them whichever method you're comfortable with. We got them on dartheads, dropshots, etc. No crank or jig bite for us.
