Water Temp: 83
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished one cove for 4 days, caught between 100-150 fish. Most fish caught on a green senko. On day four much to my suprise I landed a 4.5lb largemouth. Thats righy, I said largemouth!!! Fought it for 1/2 hour. It was so big we used a gaff to get it in the boat, photographed it, sewed up the hole, gave it a few antibotics and set it loose in the woods. OK OK we didn't have any antibotics but everything else is true. I caught my fish on a chartruse senko mounted on a small crappie jig head.
City: Paso RoblesTips: Go out with someone that really knows the lake because you might not pick the right cove. Anyone ever heard of a club named C.F.E.R.???

Water Temp: 69.5
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out about 6am. tried to get out before the crowd. Headed to B Rock and fished a zara spook in baby bass color. Just one strike, but missed'em. Started throwing a Rapala dives-to in bluegill. Caught a good spot, 'bout 3.5 lbs boucing the crank off the rocks. Caught another spot, 1.5 lb, on a 5" robo worm in bold bluegill color on a Texas. That was about it a B rock. Headed towards Snake creek about 10 am and caught another 1.5 walking the Zara spook. Boy did he hit that thing, came up about 2 ft out of the water to get that thing. Other than that it was slow. I think the amount of boats in the water have made the fish go deeper.
Question? Where did all the largemouths go? Can anyone tell me where to find some bucket mouths or smallies. Thanks
City: Santa MariaTips: Bluegill color seemed to work for me.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out the day before Memorial Day weekend (Friday) to beat the crowds. It was already getting pretty hectic, but we stayed in the coves and in the no-wake zones and didn't get hit by too many waves from the skiers. Got some nice spots on a shad/chrome Booyah spinnerbait. All were near wood - trees, lay downs, etc. My friend got some on shaky head worms as well. Got their at 7:30 and we were gone by 12:30 - got about 25 fish total, biggest was only about 2 pounds though.
City: MontereyTips: Throw blades near trees and reel it back as fast as you can!

Report: Got to the dragon 'bout 6am, fired up ol' reliable and headed to las tablas. Started fishin' about noon( ya caint beat a johnson seahorse fer speed) and wouldn't ya know it a flippin wake board boat is headin my way with 9 whiteboyz whoopin like banshees, and they was pullin a gal behind them what looked to me like a female wrassler. The music of Notorious B.I.G. was so loud that I didn't even hear the first wave that crashed over the bow, I tell ya what , now I'm pissed. My half a bag of stank-bait and what was left of a bagel, with the other half of the stank-bait spread nice and even, nearly washed out of the boat. And to my horror they was commin' back for another pass! Now I can't tell ya how many times buddies that fish with me have asked why I have a "rocket propelled grenade" under the front seat of my boat. Well sir, I stood on my homemade 1/4 inch plywood front casting deck and in the crosshairs I could read the words as clear as day OFFICIAL U.S. OPEN TOW BOAT.Putting my finger on that trigger was the same excitin feelin as when I first held Beulah's hand in my own. I squeezed and BBBBUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ !
The neon green numbers ont the alarm clock read 4:30. Whoa I best git up I'm goin fishin today!!
City: bakersfeeldTips: Don't eat Dominoes w/extra chovies at 11:00 the night before you go fishing!!!

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Lots of skiers for sure, but lots of bass too. me and my buddy had spots up to 2 lbs on senkos, plastics, topwater, cranks, blades. basically everything we used. my partner busted the fish of the trip immediately on the first day with a senko - a really fat 3-12 spot. most of the fish were hanging around trees, but we got quite a few fish on points - any point. a couple dock fish too. topwater best early/late of course. saw only one small school of shad in 2 days. a few whites mixed in. no smallies or largies at all. light tackle is the way to go...
City: SBTips: 6-8 lb. spinning rod with a 4 inch senko is awfully hard to beat

Water Temp: 58-61
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: We had a great day on the pond. We caught fish all day on just about everything we threw. We started off fish main lake points throwing splash it's. We caught 10 top water fish before the sun came up. We then spent time ripping and throwing yamamoto grubs in the back of some of the creeks. We had a 60+ fish day between the two of us. Mostly spotted bass up to two pounds.
City: San JoseTips: Dart headed grubs and small rip baits dominated. Look for shallow ledges and let the grub come off the bank and fall down the ledge. the fish will pick it up and swim off with it.

Tips: Seemed bigger worms with darker colors early and smaller worms with translucent colors once the sun was up high was the way to go. Good luck!

Water Temp: 57 to 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took today off between storms to fish Nacimiento. Launched at 6:30 AM and began fishing the shore line east of Snake Creek. Began the day throwing a suspending jerk bait for one small spot then switched a jig for no takers. Finally started shaking a 1/8 oz dart head and caught about (7) 2lb class spots. The fish didn't want a lot of movement so I would cast and shake for several seconds and then dead stick. That turned out to be a killer technique for today, so good that I lost count of the number of fish I caught, probably about 50 fish. Most fish from a pound and three quarters to two and a half pounds. All fish caught on the main lake, mostly points and walls just inside the major creeks. Never went any further than Las Tables. Best baits were Robo body shad in baby bass and arrons magic.
City: BakersfieldTips: Don't be afraid to dead stick as long as 20 seconds. Watch your line and lift your rod slowly occasionally to detect loading.

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water around 8:00 a.m. Headed for the boat docks at Oak Shores. Picked up a dink. Decided to see if there were any whites in the Narrows....went all the way to the back...NOTHING..fished all the rock banks, sandy banks, grassy banks..threw jerkbaits, t-rigged plastics...lipless cranks...in line spinners...NADA.... Motored out and headed into Las Tablas and stayed there the rest of the day. Threw a black/blue Roboworm on a darter head and must have caught 50 fish between the two of us. Ended up being a great day on the water!
City: Paso RoblesTips: STAY OUT OF THE NARROWS!! Couldn't pick up fish to save our lives. A lot of crap in the water too, so be careful. Las Tablas is the place to be...throw darter head plastics...t-rigs...and fish slow..just wait for the tick and let em' have it!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The Bass classics had there first tournament of the year and it was great we had 26 fishermen and 22 had there limit. The better fish were caught deep in the river on rocky stuff and cuts in the bank. Mostly on spider grubs but everyone caught them on all kinds of baits. The bite was a little tough in our boat but I managed 9.25 lbs for my limit and it was only good enough for 19th place. It was foggy in the morning till 10 and there was a little color in the water near the ramp. They had 5 other clubs fishing also so a ton of boats. In third place with 12.15 lbs was Chris Lee he said he had most of his fish on a green pumpkin spider grub on a 3/8 or 1/2 oz. football heads and on a brown jig. He kept the boat in 20-40 ft and the fish were in 10-20 most of the time. Most were along the sides of walls in the small cuts up river and also on rocky flats with structure on them. In second place with 12.30 was Scott Chong and he was doing the same as Chris. In first place with the big fish a 3.30 lber was J.R. Taylor with 14.35 lbs. He said he caught his quality fish up river also on steep rock and on the inside of cuts. The better fish came on spider grubs in 8-15 ft of water. The water was muddy up there but they were more active and better size then the rest of the lake.
City: FremontTips: Stay with spider grubs and fish steep rocky cuts in the bank from 8-20 ft.

Water Temp: 57.5
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water around 8:00am. Headed straight to Bee Rock. Started with a dropshot. Had a Magic Worm Hologram Shad curly tail tied on. As luck would have it, I fell prey to the dreaded "first cast fish!!" Fortunately, I wasn't jinxed by it. Hooked up on another on the same rig...both were just barely keeper spots. Decided to move...headed to the point on the left as you head into Las Tablas. Switched to a t-rig with a 3/0 bleeding worm hook combined with a Reaction Innovations Flirt in Hot Tamale color. Picked up a couple as I headed along that wall. Fired up the engine and shot all the way into the cove. Decided to stop as I hit the no wake zone and fish the walls there. Ended up hooking up on about 10 more between both sides of the walls. All fish were 12-13" keepers...and they all had a set of shoulders on them! My biggest two went 14 and 14.75". It was a GREAT day on the water. The water was like a sheet of glass until I got off the water at 3:30..sunny skies...about 80-85degrees...and didn't see one jet ski, water ski, or wakeboard!!! Decided to keep my limit and put some fresh fish on the plate. 3 of my fish already had rows of eggs. The fish are obviously confused with the unseasonably warm weather.
City: AtascaderoTips: Fish shallow...throw to the bank and work the bottom. Keep the boat in 15-30 feet of water and work it all the way back to the boat. Set the hook HARD! I lost 3 on the way back to the boat and missed another 8. Could have easily had 20+ fish if I had hooked up on every bite. Take advantage of this awesome weather.
