Report: First time ishing here since early last summer. I don't know the lake all that well, me and my partner just wanted a change in ishing. I usually ish in the valley which include Hensley, Eastman, Kaweah, and Success. We started at irst light on the north shore where I knew there would be some ish ater about ten minutes my partner hooked up with are irst ish. Not a big ish but a big accomplishment considering we had not been there or sometime and had no idea where the ish would be or what they would bite. I hooke up a couple ish about an thirty minutes ater that. Then it started raining or about an hour, we went over by cemetery cove and got nothing. Then went back to our spot we had caught the ish but ishing slowed down, but we were able to get three more. It was a good day a little cold but lots o un.
    City: coalinga

Tips: The ish are right o the weed right now, throw right up in there then work it all the way out. We got our ish rom 5 to 10 eet. Use dark colored plastics they will work. Good ish is coming so get out there and have un, and hold on or that big ish.

Dieter Spicker he had 5 smallmouth or 12.45 lbs. all on beds some with grubs and the rest on texas rigged 6" worms in June Bug & Witches T colors. The majoriy i the ish were spawning in the middle o the lake in 3-5 eet on rocky and sandy shores in the short pockets and places out o the wind. Dan Hitchcock had our ish the same way in Dieters boat with 9.4 lbs. In third place was a oreign exchange student rom Japan Hiraku Yoskitomo he had 3 ish or 6.4 lbs on small japanese rip baits and crank baits in ire tiger like colors. In orth place with 3.15 lbs was Rich O'brien he was shakin worms or his two ish. In ith place was mysel with 3.15 lbs and two ish. One ish I caught Split shotting a cinnamon brown worm and I had three ish o o beds on a 4" cinnamon brown worm with blue lake on a darthead sight ishing. However two o my ish were short. The other ive guys caught only one ish. The largemouths were cruising and staging in the backs o the short coves and pockets on the main lake but they were very skittish and were not locked down to any beds yet.

Tips: This lake should be busting loose any day now watch out or spooking spawning ish in the shallows mark the spots and later come back to the nest and catch them rom arther away. White and chartruese colors so when they eat the bait you can see it disappear.
