      Water Temp: 62-65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: WIDE OPEN BITE !!!Went on an annual ishing trip and ound the white bass were more than willing to jump on our jerk baits. Main lake is stained and gets muddier as you go up river. The mouth o the narrows is really muddy but keep going and you will ind it starts to go back to stained and then clear water at about Grizzley Bend. The more aggressive whites are in the stained water rom Grizzley Bend up to the clear water. The best baits were the small suspending Husky jerks. Both chrome blue and chrome black although the chrome blue with orange belly seemed to draw a ew more strikes. I you go all the way to the head waters you can ind thousands o whites in the crystal clear water but they were spooky and hard to coax. Many were beaching their boats and walking arther up river. A ather and son were rippin lips with their ly rods and wet lies. On Sunday we caught about 70-80 whites and on Monday we only ished or whites rom 0700-1000 and had about 35. The remainder o the day we ished or spots and caught several on Brown Yamamoto Hula Grubs on a 1/4 ounce ootball head.
      City: Hanord

Tips: WHITES: Go up to Grizzley bend and start throwing small(3inch) Chrome blue husky jerks in the shade pockets early..7am to 9am then go back to the main lake and throw jigs or spotties to two pounds.

Report: This was'nt the best day I ever had at this lake because I consider this lake the easiest place to catch a ish.We caught about 30 ish on plastis on the points at about 30 and 20 eet. These ish were small, not even a pound and they all were spotted bass and one smallmouth. We let early to go home.

Tips: I you like small ish stay on 4"plastics because that"s all this lake is going to give you.

Report: Fishing was great. We ished or bass. Lots o bites but the ish were hard to hook. During the day Eric caught six bass by some cli o topwater lures. At night we were ishing by the dock on shore and We caught two ish that night. The next morning we ished all the cli's and o the shores we both caught two ish each.We caught ive ish o worms, our o topwater, and one o a black spinner bait. The ish average rom 1 to 3 pounds each.
      City: chino

Tips: During spawning drag rubber worms slowly. Worms work all day. Use Topwater in the morning and at night. Almost anything works aslong as you use the lure slow. Everywhere we ished we either got bites or caught some ish.

Report: My boy and I had a great week o ishing near the narrows and the banks near Christmas Tree cove. The weather was overcast most o the week, so we stayed with a topwater pattern near the shoreline and had some success. The larger smallmouths and spots were eeding near the bank on rock and wood structure. The bite was very aggressive. The ish were hitting the lure once it contacted the surace o the water. Very un!! These ish were in the 16"to 18" range. I was very surprised. My son and I practiced catch and release and took some nice pictures or the photo album. Very low pressure on the lake all week.
      City: ROSEVILLE

Tips: We used a super pop r with a special 2 eather trailer that matched the size o the average shad bait in the lake. I tried a texas rig worm but had no success. Top water was the call all week long. I also tried a persuader spinner bait in the all white with willow lea tadem blades. I did catch a couple with a slow roll presentation o this bait. Good luck on your winter ishing and practice catch and release so my boy and I can have another great week at the lake.

Report: First time up this year. We started in the main lake ishing rom the Marina toward the dam. We caught numerous spots on 1/8 ounce darter head with a 4" worm in about 2-10 eet. We caught several ish on white super lukes in the backs o coves. As you go up river rom the marina, the water gets muddy and the bite tapers o. You can ind clearer water about 3/4 o the way up the narrows. The last couple o miles are just stained and you can catch ish once again. We did manage to catch some jerk bait ish, crankbait ish and spinnerbait ish also. In all we caught 53 spots, one 4 1/2 pounder and the rest all between 1- 1/2 lbs. We caught two small mouth and two white bass. We had hoped the whites would be turned on but no luck but it won't be long I'm sure. This is the place to be i you want alot o action...it only gets better rom here on out !!!
