      Report: Launched boat@ 6:30 am went to ski arm at dam and proceded to go ater stripers.9:00 am, the lie guard shows up and says that we rented the lake to a movie company and you will have to go to the ishing arm.9:15 loaded boatback on trailer and went back to main gate to get our money back so that we could go to another lake and ish. we were told sorry ,that the ticket numbers were in sequence and no reund was availible.

      Tips: I have heard rom numerous ishing guides that Live Gold ish in this lake will catch your limit everytime!!

      Report: Did real good Friday 10/26/01at the Dam/4:00 P.M. jiging o the bottom in 95 eet with silver Jigs, however, bigest ish was mabey 3 pounds. Olin Rushin

      Report: Beautiul overcast day, Stripers are on the move, I observed small groups o schooling stripers, at various locations throught the lake, pushing shad up to the surace but could not get them to bite on topwaters, crankbaits, and jigs. The ish are scattered all over the place going ater the shad. The bite is a little tough because o all the available baitish.
      City: South Gate

      Tips: Try bucktail jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, topwaters, rattle-trap type lures, speed type lures, suspending jerkbaits. Work the backs o coves and search or the baitish.

      Report: Preished up river on a rocky drop o. Caught a couple ish on a crankbait shad color, one 2+ pounds. Then preceded not to ar away to the sumerged trees, caught ew more ish, not many keepers but the bite was good, bounching worms, and drop shoting. Came tournment day and caught our ish on morning bite on the rocks, reaction bait cranking. Not to many ish on the wood but got a ew. Then on the second day, no reaction bite, not even one on a crankbait, only on drop shoting the rocky drop os and wood. Took Third place. Wanted to thank the people at the Pine Flat resort or all the great comort the gave us. Really was a great experience.Caution DO NOT go to ast up river, gets really shallow really ast. Pulled a boat out on Sunday, they ended up beating us and taking second place. O well, Lucky.

      Tips: Use Shad colors, purple, pink, and brown worms worked great. Cranking o the rocks shad colors, look or weird rocks changing sizes and depths. Fished 20t to 30t water.

      Report: went out around dark, cought a ew 12 inchers. ater midnight bass started hitting. three 4 pounders and at least 35 good ights. there at and hungry, the all bite startd. in the morning it slowed down.

      Report: Caught 2 Largemouth when oggy aroung Oak Shores less than 1lbs. poppers whitelack. Sun broke out and caught 3 bass is same spot. less than pound.

      Report: launched at 5:45 am. went to island and threw crankbaits ,dd-22's and 1oz. atree shad's. sat in 18 t. and threw shallow, back to deep water. ish nailed it on the drop in 12-13 eet o water and just crushed IT. got 11 ish up to 3 lbs. went towards marina and drited north in 14-18 t and split shoted watermelon worms and zoom speed worms. just layed rod on side and watched or tap. NO wind at all and real hot on the water.

Season 2001-2002 has just been opened at the greatest LAKE EL SALTO; any kind o Lures are working really good. Water level is very high and the lake is ull o hungry and aggressive Bass. Are you ready or this challenge ? This year we have started the season earlier, because since, we have been doing some samples into the hottest spots in the lake quite oten, we were able to determine i the ish and water level were ready to start with.Our irst group was an Incentive Group gathering 8 Top Executives and Owners o the Construction Business as well as Computer Builders and Distributors. They decided to go away rom stress and heavy schedules to enjoy the pure expression o Relax and joy. Well, they agreed Lake El Salto and the Mazatl

      Tips: I started using Top Water Lures or a ew hours and ater changing spots, we used Shallow Lures. One o my avourite Lures are the worms, which are still working during these months.

      Report: Fished the ski arm early in the morning,seemed to be an early bite.Fished main lake points w/drop shot rig.Better ish were at 30-35 eet.Fish were on the deeper sides o the points.Saw huge balls o bait both shallow and deep. Caught a couple o ish on topwater throwing to the schools o shad. The drop shot ish were caught on 4 inch Iovino at boys and 4 inch robos. These drop shot ish were all 2-3 1/2 pound ish.

      Tips: Keep a topwater handy, I saw a couple o good size ish busting the schools up , just could'nt get them to bite.

      Report: get o o your butts and get to kaweah or a lot o un. catching 50 -60 a night. awsome topwater bite. mostly 12 inch spot but later in the night 3-4 lb largemouths, tons o crappie. take your kids and have a good time!

      Report: Arrived at the Lake about 4:30am. went to the west side o the damn. Threw purple grubs, junebug reapers w/chart tails, anything dark the ish would hammer them. I did notice that they were one tugging it and ya had to set the hook quick or bye bye ishey. Lost about a 3 pounder o a purple TT grub. Missed one ish who splashed my Rico. Then the tourney came and about 1/2 hour ater sun up the action stopped. Let at 9:30 am.
