Report: Brandon Youngblood and I ish the West Coast tean event here on Saturday. We had our limit in 30 minutes ripping a Staycee Lucky Crat Minnow in the main body. Most ish are small however, so it took all day culling to get 12 pounds. The trick was to let your rip bait sit still or 3 to 5 seconds between rips. The tournament was won with iteen pounds. We needed just one big ish but didn't get it... We did have un a lot o un catching 20+ rip ish however... The rip bite will continue in the stormy weather we've been having. Next Tournament on the lake will be NewBass on March 12th. I guess we'll give that a try...
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Let your Rip bait sit still or 3 to 5 seconds.

Report: Fished irst club tournament o the year at Collins 2/13/00 (Basin Bassmasters - Loomis). Finished 3rd with 3 ish or 3.58, First was 3 or 5.92. Small ish I know, but the bite was tough, there were only three o our nine boats who caught multiple ish. I caught irst ish lipping a jig n pig (Black/Red/Orange) around looded trees in 14 eet o water. No real need to worry about line size in muddy water, used 25 pound Big Game. Next ish came on a Carolina rigged Green Pumpkin Baby Brush Hog in 35 eet o water on the break o a submergered hump. Last ish came on the same Carolina Rig o o the submergered lat by the dam in 22 eet o water. All bites were EXTREMELY subtle.Winners were ishing plastic worms rom bank to 12 eet, (sorry don't know what color). Some guys caught early blade ish (chartreuse/chartreuse blades). Big ish o the day, 3.9 spot was caught on a jig n pig (Black/Red) in 12 eet o water.
      City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Be versatile, ish will probably be scattered all over the place with the rising water. Best bet is probably Blades early, then go to jigs and worms at around 9:00, ish slow rom 5 eet to 20 eet. Hope this helps?!
