      Water Temp: low 50's

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Had a real productive day on the water today, but it didn't start out that way. I started fishing at 12 noon, by missing a good bite flipping a tree w/ a jig. Continued down the bank and fished some small rock, where I picked up 1 on a jig, then 1 on a zipper. Those were my only bites until 4pm!! Then I found a bank that was stacked with fish!! In the next hour I caught 6 fish, and missed 4 or 5 good thunks. I was throwing a Rodstrainer Jig in 10'-20' of water. Only problem with today was that all the fish were small, right around 2lbs, but there were alot of them.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: Unsettled post frontal conditions made the afternoon bite tough. Fish slow, and try slightly deeper water.

    • By

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Calero Saturday (2/19) - midday for a couple of hours. One bite, one bass, one pound. Still beats watching TV. Fish hit a mojo-rigged 4 inch black/chartreuse tail power worm. Tossed rattle trap, bigger plastics, not a bite. Conditions were good, just couldn't find fish that were active.

Report: Fished ABA tournament on Feb 20th. Jr. Sanches got our irst ish on a citris shad excaliber medium diver on the main lake. We got another one on a smoke grey/purple lake 4" ring worm. Moved way up river and got two more ish with our biggest a 3.36 lbs. on a bluegill color 4" worm. We had our ish by 1110 hrs and never could get another bite total lbs 8.22 We are ishing the Northern Traverlers Region and had not been on the lake in over two years. Since the weather was getting bad we let ater weigh in so don"t know the winning weight and big ish. Weather: some rain, high winds sometimes and overcast all day.
      City: Marysville

Tips: We saw a couple o bass in shallow water where there was inlowing water but could not get them to bite. Maybe a loating worm would have done the trick. Fish are moving up to pre-stage and crusing the shallows in the warmer incoming water 53.7.
