Report: Fished the Hook tournament Sunday, My partner and I took 3rd place, 7 fish 21.13 lbs. Of course my partner stuck the 5.66Lb blackbass, I did contribute a couple 3s and 2s in the weight. Fished outside the break in deep weedbeds.Threw the dark green Yomomoto spider looking grub thing, with a 1/8oz jig head, heavier depending on wind.
      City: Concord

Tips: FISH IT SLOW WITH SHORT PULLS, SET HOOK ON EVERYTHING THAT FEELS DIFFERENT ( MUSHBITES) P.S YOU DID'NT THINK I WOULD HAVE STUCK THE 5.66 LB BASS, IF I DID I WOULD HAVE TO THINK ABOUT CHANGING MY NAME (babybass)

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bite seems to have improved a little with the water warming. 4 fish today for 11.55#. Early in the AM flipped a couple of 3.5-4#s in about 4 feet of water in tules. Had several other bites in same area but straitened the hook on a couple. OH well! learned something new. The two other fish came off a drop shot rig (Thanks Bob) and a crank bait out of 10 feet of water. Fished Big Break and Middle River.
      City: Brentwood

Tips: I am liking white crank baits and brown plastics. Water warmed about 4 degrees this week and the fish seem to be moving shallower and getting more active.

Report: Lots of fish a week ago at the turning basin, all sizes. Fishing is slowing down though, follow the birds feeding on the shad on the top of the water. They are still out there you just have to find them. Find the schools and throw Mag-traps, chrome with a blue back. Although most fish are 3 to 8lbs. the big ones are out there, keep trying. Fresh shad are also good.

      Water Temp: ????

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The middle ork has started developing the water alls, level is way down. We were able to catch reaction ish all over the lake but the majority o the ish were small under the slot. Our biggest ish was caught on a spook in the middle ork at the irst water all and it was pure luck. Fished that were caught on Sunday were alot smaller than in past weekends. There is a jig bite but wasn't that great or us. We threw morning dawn and salt and pepper worms split shot and shaking. Fish had been schooled up had near major points rom 14-50t in the main body but eel that most ound this out and ished them. We had realised this and ocused on steep rock walls. We swam the bait back to the boat but shaking got the better ish that were closer to the 15in mark. There rest o the ish were all solid 14in ish. The smaller the bait meant less hook up but kept the 12" and 13" dinks away stay big and it will pay o. We were told there is still a drop shot bite going but the wind was blowing real hard and couldn't stay on them.
      City: GraniteBAy

Tips: Cover alot o water there has been alot o tourneys going on this month and the ish that are schooling are smart. We caught a ew ish that had worms still in them and hooks so be warned. The middle ork and its water alls are well known so ind another pattern cause that one is on everybodys list.

Report: Fished with guide Joe Alberdi o AAA Guide Service:707-995-3773. Launched rom Redbud dock and ished primarily the southwest end o the lake. Landed an 8#, 2 7#'ers, a 5# and one that was about 2 1/2 #s. Lost another on my irst hookup that was about 8#s as well. Fished along the shoreline in about 15-25 eet o water with extra large minnows 2-3' below 1/4 oz. splitshots. All but two were hooked between 7-9:30 am.
      City: Petaluma

Tips: I was ishing with 10 pound mono and had my bait continuously hitting the bottom. That seemed to be where the ish were holding and I had many snags on the submerged rocks. We would troll with the baits behind or I would slowly retrieve when stopped. No action at all on any other lures or minnows rom bobbers.

Tips: Fish the rip bite very slowly. Find a bait that will slowlydescend ater the rip (I put a suspend dot on a Rapala 9/16.)Let that bait sit 15 to 40 seconds beore moving it.) I'm throwing Rapalas in the Clown Pattern.
