Headed back towards the break and trolled off the San Joaquin around 3:30 pm in about 10' of water and my son landed a 6 lb and 3 lb. Dad hooked a whale on the next pass and played it for about 15 minutes on 12 lb spiderwire. It topped 16 lb 6 oz when we weighed it in the boat. We like this striper fishin'.

Report: **********TERRIBLE***********Don't waste your time coming up here!!!The striped, largemouth & smallmouth bass up here should be put on the endangered species list, because I think they all let. Water Temp: bone numbin

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished rom 10AM to 4PM in my tube. Was extremely oggy and cold. Was wearing 4 pairs o socks and my eet were still a little cold! Stuck a 6lber in the irst 15 minutes on a brown jig. Not a sni ater that. The ish came o a south acing rock wall, about 15 eet deep.
      City: Palo Alto

Tips: The water level is still down 40 eet, so nothing is ishable past the near side o the picnic area. It's also airly muddy. Great time to explore the back endo the lake. The last two times I've ished, I've caught two ish, a 4-14 and a 6 both on brown jigs, both the only strike o the day. I you want more action trysmall purple worms or dark gitzits. I've got more strikes on south acing steep shorelines, and they are much more comortable to ish too. Trout won't getstocked here till March and the crappies are slow.

      Water Temp: 52-54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished T-shoot on Sunday with great results. Cranked ALL dayor 4 ish that weighed 9.4 lbs. Big ish weighed 3.3 lbs.Cranked Poes Super Cedar 300's around rock that had buckbrush and trees in the area. All the ish were in 10-15 eeto water and rom some o the other anglers stories, a goodreaction bite was ON.
      City: Roseville

Tips: A reel with the right gear ratio is the key to successulcrankin'. My reel is a 1976 Abu Garcia 5500 spooled with 14lb. test Big Game line. With a 4.6-to-1 gear ratio, we wereable to crank at a slower speed. Also used a MODIFIED PoesSuper Cedar 300. I modiy my own baits by drilling a holejust in ront o the ront hook hanger a epoxying a 3/16 oz.mojo weight in the hole. This slows the baits wobble and allows the bait to suspend when stopped. All these tips puttogether allowed us to be successul on an early winter day.

      City: Reno

Tips: Dartheading with 3/16oz. dartheads or drop shotting seems to be the ticket. Did see several boats way up the north arm jigging spoons, but don't know i they ishin' or catchin'.
