      Water Temp: 79

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Hello Steve Johnson, I've been fishing berressa for many many years. You may want to use a lots of light line because of the water clarity when using plastics unless you're using top water. Look for weeds in the east side of the lake and thwow spooks around cover early in the morning an late even. I'm sure you probably know about that already. Try using small dart heads around islands , points and bluffs. I usually use 4 1/2 inch strait tail worms on a 1/8 oz. darthead in morning dawn, original green weenie, and oxblood colors. Try small ring worms too in salt and pepper and also grubs in smoke color. Fish the windy ares in points and wind blown in coves, especially weeds for large mouths. With the water always being so clear I always use 6 lb. test to get more bites. Also use 4 inch sinkos in natural colors to shad colors an make lond casts.
      City: san mateo

Tips: When fishing this lake,Fish a lot of islands. There aren't too many but there is some to fish. You may try some islands on the north west end of the main lake. The smaller baits will get yopu more bites. Just make sure there is always deep water close to where you're fishing. They hang around the ledges.

      Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of H&H at sunrise. Caught 8 fish in 2 hours never losing sight of the marina, with a 3lb 8oz and 2lb 9oz holding tight to the tule islands. The bite slowed for many hours, with just a few more small fish in White Slough. Fished Sycamore Slough from 2:00 to 4:30 for 9 more fish, mostly dinks outside submerged weed-lines, with a 4lb 8oz tight to the tules mixed in. Ended the day with 19 fish, best 5 just under 14 pounds according to my scale.

Tips: Primarily used Texas-rigged 5” Senkos, slow retrieve or dead-sticked. Red Shad or PB&J colors in the morning and Green Pumpkin or Watermelon in the afternoon. Water clarity in Sycamore was 5+ feet.

      Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched 7am New Hope..high tide chocolate milk through Hog Slough and lotta flotsam/debris through to the Mokulemne/Tower, plus lots of skiers and old fogies zippin' around in their inflatables, no manners!
OK, fishing report: Started at fav B&W tule strips and picked up a few 12"ers on red-eye shad and speed traps. Drifted down on the opposite rockwall/weedbed side and picked up a few more 1-2-lbers on kvd 1.5 in sexy shad (I really didn't catch anything with this crank til yesterday)...drifted to our fav single dock and picked up a few more 1-lbers after switching to red/orange craw speedtraps. Water was churned up pretty good and tried to go through White Slough but that's when the old fogies in inflatables just zipped within 10 yds of our boat without even blinking an eye, one even stared at me like "What?"...so at that point, we knew it was time to just get off the water and let the holiday boaters have their fun.
      City: folsom

Tips: Speed traps and lipless cranks (we prefer Red Eye Shad in 1/4oz craw colors) along tops of submerged weed patches.
Share the water with manners. There were many wake, ski, and large craft who slowed down as they passed us, but that many more who didn't see the need. Yeah I know, if we can't take it, don't get on the water.

      Water Temp: 79 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water the water about 7:45 p.m. to beat the heat. Started on the south end of the lake throwing a c-rig. My partner picked up a couple of 2's with a c-rigged brush hog. Moved up to the north end of the lake at dusk. Started throwing blades and buzzer with no luck. Switched to a black and blue jig. Hooked up with and boated a toad that went 7lbs. Not longer after my patner hooked up with a good one that broke off at the boat. I caught another about 3lbs. and broke one off on the hook set. Got off the water about 12:30.
      City: Fresno

Tips: The fish wanted a slower presentation. Check your line frequently the rocks really tear it up.

      Water Temp: 75-78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the lake about 1:00pm, HOT! Went straight to the island with my grandson to fish for blue gil, I cranked the rocky points with a Strike Kink seried 5; chart/shad ten to fifteen feet while we were anchored up. I stuck three all about two pounds with repeated cast to same area.
      City: DHS

Tips: Could not get bit on anything slow, crank all rock out croppings with multible cast...10 to 15 cast to each spot from several different angles.

      Water Temp: 70-75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had plenty of fish blow up on a frog early but couldn't keep them hooked. Tried following with Senko and no takers. Switched to plastics around 9:30 and caught one 6.9 on fourth cast. Figured I had it dialed in now, but only a few strikes and one to the boat that jumped off just as I was ready to flip him in. But the one fish will hold me over until next time.
      City: Sonoma

Tips: Don't stay away from the water for too long. I have not spent much time fishng this year and as you can tell from my report my bite to hook up ratio sucks. Caught the 6.9 on a new Big Bite bait called a flying squirrel. Check them out they have some great baits.

      Water Temp: 68-74

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I pretty much stunk it up ...caught a couple using Wacky senkos and ChatterBait. marked alot of fish in the 12 to 15 ft range I couldn't get them interested, also had a few blow ups on frogs but they were half hearted attemps.
Area fished Rattlesnake to Long tule point.
      Good Luck be safe

      Water Temp: 66-68

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I was able to take Cal Kellogg and Sheldon Bright from the "Fish Sniffer" to Pardee Wed morning. The bite was brief, but impressive. We wanted photos so I fished hard too. We lost several but did manage to land 5 - 3 largemouth and 2 smallmouth. Quality was good with the biggest being a largemouth about 6 1/2 lbs that quietly sucked in a Mikey wakebait. What a battle! Monster smallies and I don't seem to get along as I lost another big one - maybe 5 lbs or more. As opposed the the largemouth, this one smashed the topwater bait, but I lost her after a half minute. Sheldon and I did catch two nice smallies on topwater - 2 and 3 pounds. The post-front clouds cleared pretty quickly and the bite died. We all hooked a few more and landed one.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The lake is still spilling so "full" is the word. Lots of shallow cover in the water now. Water is fairly clear and will clear even more quickly. Most of our activity was on points and submerged wood structure. Did not fish any off-shore structure. There are probably fish that have moved there by now.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of ladds ran to back of ski beach and landed 2 off of the dean rojas big bite frogs while flipping. Then ran bout half way to Mildred and fished in the rain for a GREAT TOPWATER BITE!!! I missed a monster that looked to be atleast 8 pounds after he threw my gunfish with larger trebels swapped out!!! WTF? Decided to throw spooks for a greater hookup chance and knocked them out!!! Target outside grasslines on the incoming tide. And at high tide flip that spook as far back as possible without getting tangled. A slow walk was key. I love postspawn topwater.
      City: stockton

Tips: Topwater and a SLOW retrieve!!!

      Water Temp: 75-80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launced out of Blue Oaks, water is about 15ft from going over spill way, level is up into parking area above ramp.
Started cranking/spinnerbaiting spillway channel with no results. Moved to main lake points throwing drop shot and wacky Senkos. Picked up a couple two pounders on Senko; grnpnk/bf. Moved to Rogers area and kept throwing Senkos with better results; I stuck one about 4# and two others about 2.5-3#s. Brother cranks one a little under 5#.
I started pitchen Senko to wood (shade side) and got several more. Hooked one that I could not stop, it came out of the water once and it was huge but it came unbottoned.
Best five would be 16-18 lbs.
      City: Hilmar

Tips: Pitch Senkos to wood in the heat of the day, fish both sides of main lake points concentrating on the first rocky areas off main lake points.

Report: That's why I haven't been able to locate you, Mr. Gray. You have not been around. I'm in court often and there is a John Gray working there as a bailif, I got excited thinking he was the one. not the fisherman John Gray. I have been posting a lot here hoping that other's would do the same. Also looking for some "like kind" to share that wonderful lake of ours. I have fished a lot these past 12 or so months and am always looking for peopel to share the esperiance with. I will look for your boat while out. I'm in a 1985 Winner brown/red with a 175 Mairaner that has been spray painted gray. If you have been around for a long time you may know the boat and former owner, Steve Hayth. Tight lines

      Water Temp: 74.5

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took my 9 year old grandson out on Friday. Launched out of lakeport at 5:30 and fished the county park area for 3 fish to 3#s. Fish caught on Senkos in the tule beds. Headed over toward Lakeport around 9am to check out the shallows and fished over 30+ fish and could not get them to go. Visibility was 10+ feet. My son and I fished the State Park area on Saturday for 5 3-4#s. Once again saw alot of cruisers but could not get them to go. Tried everything. Watched one nip at the tip of my wacky rig. This bass fishing is new to me and it is very addictive. I fished the ocean for over 50 years and now trying to learn enough to be able to compete in tournaments. Very frustrating but fun. Any input on learning more about the sport in addition to paying my dues to the bass gods would be appriciated.

      Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: This lake is on fire!! The water is dirty, and the spinnerbait bite is on. It's very rare that you can use heavy line and blades in San Diego and mop em up. I think El Cap is the best thing south of Diamond Valley. Myself, and some friends had over 20 fish by 9:00 am that were all in the 2-3 pound range.
      City: Lakeside

Tips: Get there early the bite is best before 10:00 am. Make sure you fish your spinnerbait slow and keep it in contact with the bushes that are submerged. Try a LC BDS 3 crank if they slow down on the spinnerbait. Best of luck.

      Tips: fish late.

Report: I am a novice fisherman an not too familiar with Berryessa. Would someone be willing to share with me some good spots to fish on this lake; I have heard that up to Putah Creek by the bridge is a good spot but that is a long run from Markley Cove where I would launch. I would appreciate any input. I'm not so interested in "lunkers" as I am catching more numbers to make the trip worth the drive and have some fun. Thank you for any input.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wow, the boat traffic! Early is best for any chance to put one on the hook. Worked dropshot and senkos on the peninsula submerged willows and Beal's point cove/rock wall. Zip. Also tried spinnerbait and small crankbait....zip. Moved up north fork past Anderson Island and got one on the dropshot but lost it just below the boat. Moved back down to Brown's ravine afer changing our mind to go up to New York Cove due to the heavy traffic (12noon); zip in Brown's and called it a day...what a challenge dropping off to trailer. No manners.
      City: folsom

Tips: Staying away from Folsom for the summer..if you do go, in early, out early. No actual fishing tips as we haven't figured them out. 3 weeks ago we hit them on senkos and KVD 2.5s. Oh well, good luck to all those who brave the Folsom crowd!
      Delta here we come.

Report: Threw wake bait, jerk bait, crank bait, jigs and worms. Only 1 white bass on crank bait. No wind, hot! Off the lake by noon. Will try evening to morning trip next weekend.
      City: Fallon

Tips: Second time fishing lake any tips would be great!

      Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished first light for 2 hours and hooked up on 6 fish. biggest one was 3.8# and the rest being around 1-1.5#. There are definitely some good fish in here and the forage for these bass is unbelievable. I have been watching schooling shad in the thousands swim along the shoreline and crawdads everywhere. I think the bass population could be better if the water level would not fluctuate as often but overall it is better than going to a farther venue. I feel it is the best bank banging in the area.

Tips: be patient and slow down. work the mud lines if it is windy with a blade or swimbait and drop shotting is always productive.

      Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched from Yorty Creek around 10:00am and headed straight to the Cherry Creek arm. Very bright, sunny day. Caught ten bass and two sunfish on 4" Yamasenkos fished either wacky or drop shot. Most were small but a few were nice fish up to 3 1/2 pounds. Caught a few fish on the north side of Yorty Creek near main lake on my way back to the launch ramp. Chatted with a few other fisherman who had good luck with crankbaits.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: The fish were in relatively shallow water along slow-sloping shorelines; not necessarily near weed beds. The larger fish were up tight to submerged trees close to shore. If you're not catching anything, CHANGE COLOR OR SIZE! I didn't catch a single fish until I switched to a 4" Yamasenko 9S-10-SPECIAL (you can buy them at Outdoor Pro Shop). Once I switched color, I caught a fish on the first cast and caught fish steadily the rest of the day.
