      Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished noon to four in the afternoon with my buddy mike dean. Did well for the dead sea in the winter. We caught and released 6 spots up to 2 lbs. Drop shot and dart head morning dawn 4 inch worms. 25 feet is where the thermocline is and that's where i found the little green things. Deep water is near by. Fish slow and watch your line they swim right at you. Drop shot wacky style seemed better. Merry christmas to all you guys that love to fish. Hope next year is as good as this year. Basin Bassmasters hope we have a good year as well.
      City: orangevale

Tips: Fish 25 feet slow. 6lb test is best. My buddy mike used 8lb and I smoked him.

      Water Temp: 55.8

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Thought I'd get a little more mileage out of my 05 fishing license so went out this morning. Didn't get on the water till 9 but was surprised to find a few trailers in the parking lot. Planned on drop shotting a new bait I have but the first rod out of the locker had a jig on it so I thought I'd give it a try. 3 casts later I had my first fish. Never left site of the I-70 bridge and caught 15 really nice fish on the same jig that had been tied on from 2 weeks before, a Bass Patrol 3/8 ounce with 3.0 hook and brown/purple. I used Yamamoto #221 double tail grub trailer. Never found groups of fish to drop shot and never tried any other bait. It was absolutely beautiful out there and quite, I mean really quite. The best bite seemed to be on or to the left or right of a point. I did fish a lot of useless bank but didn't feel like running around. Hey to all of you that celebrate the holidays, all the best to you and yours and to those of you that don't, all the best to you and yours as well. Good fishing.
      City: Paradise

Tips: Did fish slow, but not sure that it mattered. Just love fish when they thump a jig and all of the ones I caught really ate it. Lake is up a bunch and there is debris in the water. Not sure you have to run around to catch fish, just put the trolling motor down and go for it.

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I personally don't have a good catching report to give.Fished skirted grubs, spoons, and drop-shot all afternoon with minimum success, but I did talk with a guy who said he and his partner had a bunch of fish to 4.5 lbs. on rip baits up shallow. The lake looks like it has come up around 2-3ft with this series of storms(that's a lotta water), and it's muddy as hell at Redbud ramp.Guess I'm gonna have to remember that if you can't get even a dink to hit a drop-shot, ya better try to get the total reaction bite, although I did try spinnerbaits in tulles with no luck. None the less, the day on Clearlake was extraodinary. Cali rules!! Merry Christmas.

      Water Temp: 51 to 53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: With warmer wather in store for this weekend will put the bass up shallow in 15 to 25 feet of water. Rock piles on or around them hold bass to 4 pounds. There are bigger fish being caught and your changes are good you will get some bass to 4 pounds. 8 and 9.5 top last weekends fishing with traffic very lite at the lake. Lite pumpkin green jigs in 3/8 oz w/ yamamato watermalon single grubs wored will for me. i worked work pile edges and fished slow for some very solid bass. WELL BE THERE SATURDAY MORNING EARLY.
      City: kerman ca.

Tips: Fish slow rock piles hold most of the fish in 15 to 25 feet of water. my choice is 3/8 oz football lite pumpkin green with a single tail yamamato watermelon red & black flake grub there on a crawdad bite now in this warmer weather.

      Water Temp: 49 to 53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Theres a fair bite on bass to 2 pounds rock piles & drop offs are you best bets. brown 3/8oz football jigs w/twin or single tail yamamato grubs in watermelon or watermealon /red& black flake work very well. Bass are in 15 to 30 feet of water. long points are a good spot to catch some nice bass also thats and over looked spot when fishing this lake. Try fishing both side of the points by setting on top of the points in about 8 to 10 feet of water and throwing into depper water. Swim your jigs slowly on the bottom making contact and the bite is lite if you feel the rod tip load up good bet there a fish on.
      City: kerman ca.

Tips: fish slow with contact on bottom a must better bass are in depper water on or around rock piles and on drop offs and on long deeper points. brown or pumpkin green & watermelon colors are all good colors to use this time of year.

Report: Peace, Joy, and Happiness to all. If you don't do anything else this Holiday season, the next time you're out on one of our beautiful Northern California Lakes, take a moment and look around, take in the spectacular scenery, and think about Who provided it for us. Then think about those in the Middle-East who are protecting it for us. God Bless and Happy Holidays!

      Water Temp: 51-52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Cold Day. Pretty windy as well. Our boat caught a total of three fish today for 6 hours of fishing. First fish(3.5lbs) was caught by the spillway on a hoola grub with a football head 3/8 oz. jig in grape brown. It was in about 5 feet of water. Second fish(3.6lbs) was at the end of a cove in about three feet of water with the same lure and the third(2.8lbs) was caught across from the spillway in about 8 feet of water on a brown 3/8oz. jig with a purple trailer and a rattle on it. My buddy missed a nice one on a 8 inch black and blue worm in cherry cove. Couldn't really find a pattern, it was a tough bite and we tried many spots and many presentations. Most action came off of banks with the wind hitting them.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Throw jigs, and hula grubs. Fish slow, although the person who caught the two 3 1/2 pounders got on the boat midday and was moving his hula grubs pretty fast. Darker colors because the water is beginning to get real murky. Bass are suspended in many places, so get the suspended bass with appropriate techniques(drop shot, spooning) I'd say sleep in, and try and get em' later in the day.

Moved east to creek and picked up several more nice ones, 35 ft. Moved to main body, wind died a little, got five more, 45 ft. Lost a five on the surface by the boat, hook was really small. Kept fishing connected with a 5.4 on next hump. Rode on up river to deep ravine bridge picked up a 3.2 and a 3.4. Early shallow fish came on 4" worm texas, all others drop shot.Fish were everywhere. Limit was around sixteen.

Tips: Different days, different attitudes. Fished five straight days so far and all days were different and cathes also were different."different". So don't let a bad day get to you. Good fishing.
