      Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

      Report: superbowl sunday. started at 9am. worked offshore weed edge in big break. tide was high outgoing.little bit of wind, after our first fish we threw out a marker bouy,we never left the rest of the day. ended up with 22 fish to 3lbs all but 2 were on brushogs 1 on senko 1 on rattle trap. looks like small bucks moving up, but a great day. can'twait till tomarrow !!!

      Tips: if you get one work area heavy, there schooled .carolnia brushog and senkos 5to7ft

      Report: Redwood Empire Bass Club next team tournament is at Clear Lake on January 14th. With both Berryessa and Sonoma blown out because of the storms, Clear Lake is the place to be. Our next meeting is next Wednesday January 11th at 7p.m. at the Rohnert Park Community Center at the corner of Rohnert Park Expressway and Snyder Lane.       Report: launched at north shore around 11:30am. hit the coves and harris creek no luck. wormed,cranked and jerk baits. was more worried about getting the old fuel out of my boat fish where at 40-60 feet. i like to fish banks and approx 10-20 feet. good luck e-mail me well hook-up and wet a line. later

      Report: The Delta was closed to recreational boating only. Commercial boats were still permitted to use the Delta. January 4th at 12 noon Water Resource re-opened the Delta. Be careful! There's lots of debris in the water.

      Tips: Don't be near a levee if it breaks. That wouldn't be good.

      Report: Lake if overflowing very muddy - talked to a couple of boaters who came in without a hit. Once water clears a bit look for a great bite.

      Report: I caught zero bass in the Rattlesnake Island arm and around the mouth of Rodman Slough. However, I met two gentlemen at the Clearlake Oaks ramp who caught many very impressive crappies near Shag Rock. Apparently the big crappies are biting well even as the bass apparently aren't.

      Tips: Forget the bass for awhile and fish for crappies in 30' of water near the center of the lake. I was told that black/chartreuse jigs were working the best.

      Report: Mendo Bassers in Ukiah is currently looking for new members. We are a small club that want to expand. We fish once every month mosly on Clear Lake (8 times this year) with a few at Mendocino (2), Pilsbury, and Sonoma. If interested or want more info, e-mail me your contact info. You are not required to attend meetings to be eligible to fish so out of town members are welcome.

      Tips: This is a low cost/low payout club ($10.00 entry fee each person plus gas money if non-boater). We are about learning or teaching depending on your level of knowledge. We welcome all fisherman (or fisherwomen for that matter) who share our passion for bass fishing and like to get out of the house at least once a month and rip some lips...:)

      Report: Mendo Bassers in Ukiah is currently seeking new members for our small but growing bass club. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month and fish usually the following Saturday. We fish mostly Clear Lake but also fish a few on Mendocino, Sonoma and Pilsbury. This is a low cost/low payout club in which our goal is for everyone to have a good time while maybe learning or teaching a few things about the sport of bass fishing depending on your level of fishing knowledge.       Report: Made it up to the lake yesterday via Suisun Valley road and 121. Still very muddy and lot's of one-way traffic (boat and truck got covered in mud!)...the road has slid out in 3 different places on 121. The road coming from Winters was wide open and mostly clean until you near Markley Cove. Fishing was great..double up on very first cast. Fish seemed to be stacked up once you found them. Try main lake points and do nothing banks. Caught about 25 total with the largest about 3lbs.
      jigs, c-rigs and drop shot all worked.

      Tips: fish lot's of areas and stop and work over an area once you catch one!

      Report: Lot of small stuff floating around but not the real big stuff. Vis poor with sawdust size red chips in most coves. Water is up and all ramps are open. Metered most fish at 35 ft. Not much action though.

      Report: took the day off Friday (2/4) and went fishing with my brother. Got to Calero at 8:45-9 am. Got one bass weighin' around a pound. That was the only fish caught between my brother and I. Left Calero at 11 am to eat pizza =)

      Tips: Water is higher so I'm waiting for the weather to heat up just a lil' bit. Then I'll be throwing everything in my tackle box :P

      Report: Took my boys over to Orwood to launch this morning and signs were posted that the Delta was CLOSED UNTIL JANUARY 5. I have never seen that before. Didn't know you could close a shipping lane. Any one know if it was just Orwood or other launch ramps too?

      Report: the lake was very high from the rain, very muddy and hard to walk. to cold for a tube unless ur really dedicated. We only had one fish on and the line was frayed so it snapped. it felt like a nice 3-4 pounder. It basiclly sucked, cant wait for Spring Season. We trouted for the rest of the day no luck.

      Report: I wish us all luck on our swimbait fishing next being that a lot of us are going to be throwing tose baits for the first time. I was always scepticle about using those horse baits but I'm a freaking believer. SLAMMERS, HUDDS, NEWBORN BABIES!! WHat ever it takes, i'm getting my 10 plus this year whether it be here or at that secret lake in the almaden valley????!!!!

      Report: Well a new year and the bass are still on a good bite. And jigs are still the hot bait to throw pumpkin green 3/8 oz football head & a yamamoto single tail watermelon grub with red/black flake works very well. The bass are still in the 2 to 4 pound range and are still holding on base of rock piles and are still in fairly shallow water the rain has pounded the lake but that hasnt shut the bite down. A friend and i had 22 bass to 3 pounds most coming out of 8 to 15 feet of water. Key areas are 5mph area east bank from dam area to east ramp. swim your bait but make contact with the bottom at all times. Dont let the rain stop you at this lake clear sky are ahead and fishing should get even better.

      Tips: Slow is better contact swimming the bait rock piles and dropoffs/rock hold most of the bass
