Report: First time fishing here since August since the water has been too low, now you can launch on the campground side only. Started fishing at fisrt light, partner got a small fish on a crankbait. The weather was nice not to cold and it was cloudy. I was throwing a spook, and caught 5 bass with 2 of them around 2pounds, this stopped around 8:30. My partner was getting them on the crankbait and one on a puppy, but they were all small. All these fish were shallow and around structure. We moved out deep and tried for awhile, but got nothing went back to where we were fishing and after 1:00 they started coming back all on crankbaits. The fish were coming from 1 to 10 feet but were scattered. We ended up catching 28 for the day and around 8 to 10 pounds for a five fish limit not bad and it was alot of fun being back on HENSLEY, I will be back this weekend.
    City: Coalinga

Tips: Search for fish, usually with a worm I catch quite a few fish but saturday I only got one small fish to bite. They just seem to like the hard baits that day. Just get out on the water and fish. Good luck and God Bless.

Report: Well first time here for about 2 months. I have been going to eastman at night and doing well, but hensley is allways fun. Started around 5:00pm near the 5mph bouys and right away my partner hooked up with a small fish. The wind was blowing pretty good so we went to a number of places including rock piles, main lake points and dropoffs, just to see where fish were. Well they were everywhere we caught fish on an assortment of plastics with the fish going from a pound to three pounds. The bite was really good right before dark, then it shut off we moved out to dropoff from 8 to 26 feet and were able to catch a couple more fish, but during the dark hours it was alot slower. We finished the night with 22 bass. After taking a nap on the boat we started fishing again around 5:30am and the fishing was on again but we could only find fish up to about 2 1/2 pounds. We left and 8:30 with 17 fish for just a few hours bringing our total to 39 fish, Lots of Fun!!
    City: Coalinga

Tips: Fish seem to be scattered all over the lake the water is dropping 10 more feet and it will be down to last winter level. This should make for some good fall fishing. Just get out there and fish early morning or evening. Worms, lizards, senkos, its all working right now. Good Luck and have fun.

Report: A green day at the lake the same algae bloom I saw last year. The fishing was marginal we caught 13 in 5 hrs. Most were small and caught on pro worms #6 with red flake and all but one was a spot. My son caught the lone large mouth about 2lbs. It was hard to find the fish but I think because of the algae the were in the rocks mostly. Lot's of very small fish...
    City: Clovis

Tips: Fished with texas style worms and dropped them from shelve to shelve....one hit on top water about 7:30..but missed him.

Report: Started before the sun cam up in the 5mph zone, wind was blowing pretty good. We got a couple small fish then moved out towards the begining of the bouys and I caught 3 nice fish from 1.5 to 2.5 pounds. The fish did not seem to be biting real good and very spread out. Went to some rocky areas near the front of the lake by the campground launch and caught some in 15 to 20 feet on a dropshot lizard. The good fish did not seem to be very shallow they were from 8 to 20 feet. Called it a day around 2:00 but had a great day. Good Luck!!
    City: Coalinga

Tips: Try shallow with plastics or reaction baits. Big ones seem to be cruising alot. But everyone knows they go deep as it gets hot and it is starting to get there.

Report: Had to come and see how the lake is since I have been fishing eastman, and doing pretty good. Started fishing at 6:00am caught first fish real quick, only went about a pound, my partner hooked up right after me with a fish about the same size. We moved around quite a bit looking for bigger fish, most fish were small. They were biting right off the shore anywhere there was weeds. We caught them on worms lizards and brushhogs. Later in the afternoon I was able to get one that went 3.1 on the scale nice fish. Seems like a big accomplishment when all day we were just catching small fish. Everyone we talked to said just the dinks were biting. Great day on the water not much wind and warm. Ended the day with 17 fish. The bigger fish should start to show any day now, so keep trying. Good Luck!!
    City: Coalinga

Tips: Start as shallow as possible in the morning, the fish are bunched up early, then go out a little deeper but check the shallows all day there could be a hog hanging out. See you out there I'll be back March 27.

    Water Temp: 60's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished here sunday-took my 12 year old son and his buddy. We fished the damn area with no luck-again as with Eastman I was shocked at the ater level after all the rain and snow we recieved. We moved toward the back and things changed rapidly! Caught approx 20 fish on plastics. Fish were fat and agressive. Unusually EVERY fish we caught was OVER 16" with the biggie at about 4-4.5 making one last jump right at the boat and throwing my lure back at me. LOTS of boats so go early-maybe during the week if possible? Tight Lines!

Report: Started near the back of the lake water was like choclate milk. Fished back here for about two hours with nothing not a bite. Me and my partner were puzzeled we tried lots of plastics and spinnerbaits. Around 9:00am we decided to run up the lake the water was alot clearer. We were excited to get some fish in the boat. We started fishing like it was the middle of winter, deep and slow. There they were my partner hooked up with our first fish and about a minute later he hooked up again. About 20 minutes later I hooked up with my first fish. Around 12:00 we moved out a little more and found a hump that came up to 11 feet and dropped down to 25 in some places. I got a fish real quick after we marked that spot with a bouy. Me and my partner got a double on the same spot. Fished for a little while longer ended up with one more but it was a small one. We tried hard all day and didn't give up and we were able to get a nice limit in the boat. It turned out to be a good tough day the ones that pay off in the end.
    City: Coalinga

Tips: Just get out there and fish this coming weekend should be really good with stable weather on its way. Look for them shallow if you don't see them go to your favorite dropoff or deep hangout. I will probably be at Eastman And Henslwy this weekend so see you out there. God Bless and good luck!!

The wind got pretty bad during the day but we managed a ew more ish all keepers. We ended the day at 2:00pm with 9 ish total the best ive would have went 8 or 9 pounds not bad or a tough day, considering the weather in the week beore.
