There are also alot o stripers down in 30 to 50 eet o water. Caught those ish on tail spins. These Tail spins are made by Bill Potting and can be purchased at Angler's marine or Bassworld West. These tail spins have caught me alot o ish at some o the Won Bass Pro Ams at lake havasu, lake Pleasant, lake Mead Etc. They work real good at Lake Castaic.

Kaweah Lake

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Kaweah Lake has been beat on or the last 3 months ever since they shut o the water. When the ishing got really good everyone rom resno to bakersield came over to ish cause the lake was so hot. Now your looking at a lake that is gone downhill and all those ish the bank anglers are taking home, and i you don't know they are ishing every day. You multiplie what each group o 5-10 are taking and it has impacted this lake hard. It happened to success a couple o years ago and that made ish and game change the size to 15 inches. Last month we ished the ull moon with 25-30 other boats, all with 2-3 people onboard. every boat had hooked 15-20 ish. That makes 400-600 ish that night. Nothing over 2 lbs. was caught. Please talk to other ishermen about this because it is going to be brought up to ish and game's attention. Thanks Brian Chance-Kaweah Bassmasters

Kaweah Lake
-
Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Kaweah Bassmasters had a tournament last Sunday 10-13-02 There were 9 boats 18 anglers there were only 6 ish caught in the tournament. 15 inch ish on a lat board mouth closed are to come buy. I think the DFG should take a closer look at the bank isherman who are taking home everything they catch no matter what size it is. Game Wardons know that we as Tournament Anglers have to have license's to even be in a tournament yet they check us irst. Kaweah could have been a trophy lake i the DFG would have payed more attention to what is going on at Lake Kaweah. When people are taking ish home under size they never have a chance to become 15 inch's .
City: VisaliaTips: 1st place was won on a crankbait 3.75 lber

Report: I never put in reports but I had to ater the day I had yesterday...I started o by bringing my shad net to the upper lake to see about catching some live shad..And low and behold, there was a ton o shad at the boat launch ramp and in every cove I went to..I caught a grip o shad and started ishing right out ront o the boat dock and nailed at least 20-25 ish rom 1&1/2 pounds all the way up to 4 pounds..I caught some more shad and decided to post up on a point with lots o grass/moss...The bass are in the weeds right now and they are schooling up when you ind them...I picked a point where I metered some ish and proceeded to cast in the same spot and catch over 25 ish rom 2 pounds all the way up to 5&3/4 pounds...I landed 30 ish in 2 hours and 4 ish over 5 pounds...I've always hated Castaic, due to I have never caught anything worthwhile(except the 18 pound striper last year) and I am always negative about the lake....Now I am in love and all I have to say is GET THE SHAD!! they are huge right now...between 4-6 inch healthy shad, and the bass cant resist...I just wish I could go to the lagoon with the shad and It would be all over...YESTERDAY WAS THE BEST FISHING DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!! I'm going back riday, I'm the one in the red bomber/ red aluminum boat who is hooking up non-stop...see you out there.....
City: Huntington beach,caTips: get the shad or drop senko's next to the weeds.....Deadly!!!

Report: Keawah Bassmasters Had 9 boats on Sunday Team tournament . Only 6 ish caught or whole tournament . It is hard to ind a 15 inch closed mouth on a lat board Fish . You can catch all the 14 1/2 inch ish you want, but a true 15 is hard to come buy ! Fish & Game need to patrol bank anglers better we see them keeping everything they catch !!!!! They are destorying this Lake !

Report: My son and I had a good day on the lake. We caught our ish in 70 eet o water on tail spins. Our 5 ish limit went about 15 Lbs.The biggest was 4 plus. I ound the ish on the graph and then yo yo the bait by them. There was alot o ish working shad in the coves. But I could'nt keep up with them. My 9 year old son heard a splash by the boat, so he through a tail spin and a 17 1/2" ish hit it. I ound most o the ish in the ish arm on points. I could'nt get a worm bite that day or a top water bite. Fish are on shad.
