Report: Fished the 1st annual Snag Proo Frog Open out o Big Break...305 BOATS!!! Overall the tourney was well run considering the crowd. Partner and I ished the middle Delta and caught a small limit (3) o 5.0lbs. I had 6 blow ups and hooked 5...Landed 4...culling 1. Delta window opened at the change rom High to Low and lasted 45 minutes...Partner was less ortunate as his blow ups were not overly aggressive...It doesn't get any better than catching a Delta bass on Frog even when they are o the smaller variety.
      City: Discovery Bay

Tips: The traditional black and white weren't the ticket today.. Fished green/white belly and suicide mixture o green/ch/red...Use Braided line or orget it on mats...Had a 3+ lb ish I lost break 50lb spiderwire and continue to jump around the boat or several minutes with my rog in her mouth...Stay sae and release your catch. TAKE A GUIDE TRIP WITH BOBBY BARRACK and watch a rog master at work...He helped my hook up ratio go rom 20% to over 50% on one trip...Thanks, BOBBY. TG

Report: Fished with my boys or three mornings and had good ishing in the windsor area, chalk clis and around the island. We were throwing jr. spooks, buzzbaits and 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits. Caught smallmouth and largemouth up to 4.5 lbs...cover lots o water and slow down ater a blow-up and work slower with a spook. Main and secondary points near deeper water produced best. A ive ish tournament limit should be about 18 to 20 lbs. I was pleased to ind the numbers o smallmouth...the lake is healthy and the habitat program is working...thanks

Report: Fished rom 7:30am to 11:00am, I caught onlyone 13-inch trout around 10:00am using yellowPowerEggs. Yes, I have to pay $8 or parkingand ishing permit, but I don't mind, I'mhaving un with or without ish being caught.I heard a lot o people with this kind oslogan: - "Why don't you just go to the marketand buy ish?" These people with such sloganare NOT REALLY A FISHERMAN. Buying ish in amarket is totally dierent eeling vs ishingon the lake. Fishing on a lake is sport, youhave to spend money. I you care so much aboutmoney, then just eat chicken, cheaper than ish!

Report: Made it out on the lake ater a 3 week hiatus and it sure was a pleasant suprise. Ater all this heat the ish are still accessable in 15-20'. Did real well on smallies to 3lb and LM to 4.5 on a Gitzit.Caught a dozen keepers ( best 5 about 14lb ) rom 7 till 11. This sure beats some Augusts I can remember. The lake lice didn't even get too thick until 10;30.
      City: Weaverville

Tips: In response to the previous report and his comment about the locals, I am pretty sure I know who you are reerring and he isn't a local. In act I suspect that there are very ew locals on the water these days as they realize that in another couple o weeks we can go ishing and not have to put up with the summertime rude behavior.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: went in at 0515 at Packers just behind my team partner Bryce and his wie Susan, got my wie along with me and launched in the dark, made irst cast on the irst point out and caught a small spot on a jig, lake down past 60 t and still dropping like a rock, moved out to the island just coming up and miss a couple and the wie sticks a 12 incher while Bryce is across the way putting one in the boat on a top water bait, it got light enough to run so the wie and I ran up the Sac to Marshmallow point and picked up a bit o wind when we turned the corner at Sacramento Point, she boats another and we move down the point where we pick up some yellow jackets tht start buzzing around. The wie hates these bugs so I ire it up and run south to potty point at 70 and stop to toss a rip bait and 2 yellow jackets show up immediately, move down the bank a bit and here come some more, the wie is really getting nervous as I swat one and that seems to attract some more. O we go or the ramp and got out at 745 am, irst time a bug has run me o the lake, even ound a bunch buzzing around the parking lot at Packers, water a little clearer this am, in at 73 degrees and out at 79 degrees on the way to 106 ater 112 yesterday, most report very slow ishing including the trout and salmon trollers.

Report: The ishing continues to be good a Trinity with 2-3 pound small mouths on main lake points or rocky shorelines with stumps on them. Try the sort o east-west running shorline across rom Bragdon Gulch. We used 6 inch green magic worms and 4.5 inch Roboworms in Baby Bass color, to catch ish. More largemouth came this year than in years past but it was the smallies that gave the best time. Our pattern held in the mornings and mid-aternoon ater 3, when shadows began to all on the water.
      City: Belmont

Tips: Be wary o some o the locals, they are downright hostile toward ishermen rom out o the area and do not like anyone ishing within sight o them. There is one guy in a Whaler with a 70 Evinrude that is downright crazy.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I usually harpoon fish in the Pacific Islands...that's where I'm from. But I decided to take up bass fishing. I did quite well. I went out at 5am or so. Left at around noon. I got about 3 tournament keepers on a finesse worm(black and chartruese). When I switched to a Bomber, I got a few under a pound. I ended the day sipping my favorite beverage, pineapple juice...I love bass fishing!
      City: Dixon

Tips: This is definately a plastic worm lake... Somoans do it better!
