Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Sonoma was on. My buddy and I landed 21 and had at least 30 bites. Size 1-2.7lbs. Most o the ish were in less than 15 eet and we got a bunch in the 3-8 oot range. Caught ish in Yorty, Cherry, and Warm Springs. Hits were usually pretty solid and the ish were hot. Weighed a 9.8 or a loat tuber without a scale. Beautiul ish. Too bad he planned to take it home. We need more ish in the lake like that one, and the spawn is just around the corner. The larger the ish the more important it is to return it to the water so that it can spawn and create more particularly well adapted specimens that are un to catch!
      City: Petaluma

Tips: Bottom hugging crawdad imitators - jigs, plastics in browns and greens. Wood was good though not required.

Report: Well, I have a report - just havn't had time to post it. My good riend Rick Tietz and I decided on Tuesday to see i anything would bite at Clear Lake ater the tournament crowd let. While it wasn't a great trip, we - I should say, he, did pretty well. WE made good decisions but HE caught all the ish - except a 12 inch bass which I was honored to catch. Ater all, we are looking or small bass at Clear Lake. arn't we? We started ishing areas near Red Bud in the morning, but only got one ish - a 4 pound rip ish. Pulled the boat out and went to Lakeport. It was calm and beautiul. We ished deeper tule clumps at the mouth o creeks and ound a ew nice ish. The highlight o the trip was Rick sticking a 6 1/2 pounder on a Basstrix swimbait - a company he reps or. I mean this ish ate it whole!!! He got a 4-14 on a jig and broke o a big ish near Rodman. I won't tell you what I caught my monster on - don't want you bothering those dinks!! We wound up with 7 bass - not too bad. Rick's limit was 22 1/4 lbs!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Jigs were working ok, better than Senkos, at least that day. Fish still seemed to be on outside edges, hear deeper water. No aternoon rip bite happened.
