Report: Launched out o Holland on Thursday, 9:30am in rain and windy conditions. Found calm water and caught a 2.5 on watermelon/red lake, 5" senko tight to tulie point, last o incoming high tide. Wind never let up. No complaints here.
City: ConcordTips: We caught all but one on the same bank, went over it twice. Fish were in shallow water and mostly tight to cover on senkos and o a little with crank baits (slow steady retrieve). Mainly worked high tide and didn't necessarily need movement or ish.

Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I ished Amador Wednesday rom noon 'til about 9 pm, with a one hour dinner break. I caught 11 bass total, with only 3 beore the last hal hour o dark. They ell or the same jig combo that Rick Tietz was using in the previous report. Since it clouded up in the aternoon, I think it might have shut down the larger bass and those three only weighed 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 lbs. I didn't get into the good ish he and Janet did. Near dark I switched to a 1/2 oz brown/orange Rodstainer jig with a 6" double tail #180 Yamamoto grub. Bingo!! Within 10 minutes I landed a 3 3/4, a 4, and a 4 1/4 - about 25 eet deep. They had moved deeper without the sun - just as I had thought!! These were caught in Jackson Creek. Ater dark, I switched to my 3/8 oz Rattlin' Weapon Jig and tried a "honey hole". The "honeys" were home!! Started out with a 4 1/2, ollowed two minutes by my biggest o the trip - a 6-7! Ended up there with a 3 1/2. There was a warm, light rain alling with no wind at the time - perect. I caught a ew more on main lake points about 20 eet deep - all in the 3 1/4 to 4 1/4 pound class. I think this is the most 4 pound class bass I have ever caught in a row at Amador. Nothing smaller or bigger except the 6-7. No complaints rom me. My limit was 22 1/4 lbs, a little better than the 20 1/2 lb limit on the previous trip. These bass were eeding - the jig hits were just like the all, and I had to dig the jigs out o the back o their mouths. Around 8:30 the rain stoped or the time and the wind started rom the east and the temp dropped immediately and the bite stopped just as quick. Never got another bite - are these bass "in tune", or what!! There were about 60 rigs when I got there, and o course, I was the last one to leave. Two o my riends couldn't joint me, so I had a great time landing all these nice bass by mysel. I wasn't even lonely!!!!!
City: Yuba CityTips: I agree that purple, or purple/blue/black jigs are working well during the daylight hours. Brown/orange will work too, as will black/red. Jigs needed to be worked slow. I tried Senkos, but I think the ish were a bit deep on Wed. Look or the warmest water you can ind.

Castaic Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: This is actually a question I hope someone who ishes Castaic can answer. I have ished Castaic or some years and have caught plenty o Large Mouth Bass (catch and release o course). I have heard many people talk about the stripers. For the lie o me, I've tried or them stripers but had no luck. Does antone have any tips they would like to share on how to catch them stripers? Oh, and while you're at it, any tips on where on can ind them crappie in Castaic?
City: ArletaTips: Try using green color 3 inch reepers and cast near the shoreline when the water has low clarity. Finesse it with a Carolina Rig.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: We started around 8:30 in the granite bay area. The wind was blowing pretty good, so I had to keep moving to ish. I got a ew ish rippin, and my partner got one on a jig. I got tired o gettin blown all over, so we went in a somewhat protected cove. Nothing going on the way in, but in the back I got a bit and broken o twice. We decided to go back to the main lake. The wind died down, so I started dragging secondary and main lake points. It paid o. I caught 3 ish on almost each point I ished. The bite was aggressive and the ish put up a good ight. All in all a great day. good luck.
Tips: All the ish were caught in less than 15 eet. No big ones, but alot o quality ish in the 1.5-2.5lb range.

Los Vaqueros Lake
-
Water Temp: ???
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well, we went here to check out the new lake and rent out one o their boats or the day and get out and do some bassin'. We got there and they said that a big wind storm had come through the other night and totally messed up their boat docks and thrown their boats all over the place, so they weren't renting them out that day. We were pretty disappointed by that, but we decided to go and try and do some bassin' rom shore. Didn't get one hit all day! We were there or a good 6 hours too. This lake reminds me o a lake I ish up in Utah or bass, and I'm almost positive that I could've caught bass i'n we had a boat. However, we just couldn't ind 'em anywhere rom shore. So...i you don't have a boat...GOOD LUCK!!
City: AntiochTips: Fish or bass rom a BOAT

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished in a loat tube at Yorty Creek rom 9:30am to 1pm and caught 5 bass. Two were 3lb and 2lb, the others were undersized at about 11 inches. Had several other takes and bites. Used a carolina rig with a variety o worms and colors - it didn't seem to matter, they were biting everything, although I used mainly worms with chartreuse tails on account o the heavy overcast. Pretty good pre-spawn action!
City: San FranciscoTips: Stick close to the brush. Bites are just subtle tap-tap-taps.
