Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: got my boat rigged with a new pinpoint and new batteries, ixed up motorguide and moved the X-65 back alongside the console, got up this am and its 54 degrees at 615am, very pleasant, went and put in at Bailey Cove at 645am, irst boat there, air temp 53 and the lake is up just past the 35t mark. a little too dark to due a setup on the pinpoint so ran up the McCloud near the erry with one one right o the bat on the MGM 157 4 inch, another one 20 t down the bank but it jumps o, both were small and just barely legal, moved west to Ycotti creek and stick on a Rainbow worms #99 and start iddlling with the pinpoint, gets things ready and drop the 99 down o the bow and watch it all on the pinpoint, dropped it on some ish and one o them grabs it, at 1.8, down the beach or 3 more on the 99 and all clones at 1.6. stck on a MGM 109 in 4 inch and get two more o a big submerged rock in 13 t. iddled around some more with the pinpoint and ended up completely impressed with this machine. Had all the rigging done at Phils by Stuart? and a very clean job at that, u would never know that anything else was mounted on this boat
      City: Redding

Tips: the 7420 costs $400 but was well worth it, i u need something rigged on a bassboat go see Stuart? at Phils.

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: ishing the dam area is producing nice ish around 50' mark.the ish seem to be staging or the spring due to the nice weather. Mark your calendar, McClure/March 9th/Glenda 892-5252. Try a circuit without a membership ee (one time only @ McClure)The lake has dropped a little in preparation or the snow melt. So the ish are a little suspended, drop-shot/grub time. I think you will be pleasantly suprised @ the generous pay back, and people who listen to the angler, with a boat at the end.
      City: Hughson

Tips: Slice leaches and mop-top Yamamoto's seem to be getting the job done. Shad patterns

      Water Temp: 50-53'

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Should have believed the thursday fishing report in my local paper that said the "fish have extreme lock jaw".That wasn't necessarily the case. The fish had disappeared from the 50'to 0' areas. We fished all day in all my favorite areas and only got one 17 1/4 " smallie. We checked points, wood, weeds, deep, shallow, nada.Got the smallie dropshoting in 43'. Couldn't see any fish on the graphs either. Hope these fish move up a little in the near future.

Tips: I'm confused,,,,,,,they catch loads at Clear Lake this weekend, and we struggle at this lake......

      Water Temp: 48-52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Should have posted this on Sunday night but got tired and next several days got busy. Launched out o south delta on sunday morning at 9am ater waitng or my buddy who was 2 hours late. Stopped to pay or launch at dock on way out. Saw guy in tan Hawk bass boat coming in that I had seen launch earlier. He asked i I had a scale he could use. Sure, had my trusty 0-50# digital no lyin or guesstimating scale. He pulls up to the dock next to me and my buddy jumps out on the dock to take the scale to him. I'm trying to ind rope to secure my boat when I hear my buddy say ," OH MY GOD!" I turn around to see the biggest, greenist lunker I'll probably ever see. This pig weighed in at 17# 3ounces on my scale!!Another senko victim- Thank you Gary Yamamoto. Guy said irst cast landed him a 2# and second cast hooked the 17# 3ouncer. Said she didn't even ight, just loaded up the rod and he reeled her in and she rolled right over at the boat.Said he knew it was big by the way the rod was bent but didn't imagine it would be that big.Still can't get over how absolutely huge that ish was, especially those big round protruding eyeballs that looked like they came o a 25# rock ish that was just quickly reeled up rom 350 eet.The rest o my day and any ishing day ater rom now on didn't even compare . Caught one 1.5# on brush hog and at end o the day hooked a nice 5# striper on a clown colored jerk bait. Took a picture and let it go. Can now inally say that I've caught a striper while ishing or largemouth.Buddy blanked and said he thinks my boat is bad luck because out o 5 trips on my boat, he's only caught one bass. Fine with me- stay o my boat and use your little 12 ooter.

Tips: No mystery here, as always Senkos rule.Water temp started o at 48 and by 2pm was up to 52 and even hit 53 in shallower areas.Day time high was around 69.

      Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out and hit some sotballs around on Sunday morning, inishing up around noon and decided there was enough time to take a little trip to CFW. I love this little lake because it has all the ish that Folsom has in it with about a 1/4 o the pressure. The two guys I went with are just getting in to bass ishing, but already have the bug. I have been taking them to the delta quite a bit, but this lake ishing is a much dierent animal.around 2:30 we started ishing and I told them that I was going to start out dragging a majic worm and that they should either throw a darter head or a jig, just to mix it up. We didn't get anything or the irst hour or so, but that didn't matter because the weather was gorgeous. Around 3:45 Tim sets into a beautiul 2 1/2 pound spound on a w/red baby b-hog. About 5 minuts later I hit a 1 1/2 pounder on a witches T darter head. John had a ew hits as well but missed them. We worked the area or another 20 minutes or so, but couldn't get any other action. To inish out the day, we worked a wall with some good rip-rap and structure and got one more 12 inch spot on a darter head.
      City: roseville

Tips: Noticed that our ish came out o 10t o water. Not a horrible day or three hours o ishing. It did eel good to use some light tackle or a change. The weather was a bonus.

      Water Temp: 47'C to 53'C

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My buddy Chris and I headed out on the water at about 7:00 am. The sky was clear blue and a little brisk. We decided to start at the north side o the peninsula. With the trolling motor the still on the schnide, we had to limit our pick up and move to another spot tactic. We ished or a 1/2 hr or so and moved to Beales Point, thats where we had to re-rig the trolling motor.(nice huh). From there we worked the wall just north o Beales Point. NOTHING. We threw everything under the sun. We inally regrouped and decided to try a little urther up the peninsula to the north. Thats where we caught all our ish. We only caught 4 but they were all 2 1/2lbs.+. I caught a nice smallie o a rock pile in about 12 t o water, that seemed to be the magic number.12 t, on a gitzit tube, and the spots were hittin the same color worm (Motor oil). All ish were caught on plastics. Couldn't ask or better weather and the water temp is on the rise. So not the greatest day, but it beats workin. See ya out on the water. I want to shout out a hello to my Dad. Capt. Bitteroot. Thanx or gettin me started.
      City: Roseville

Tips: Brown/motor oil jigs ,worms or tubes seemed to work or us. 12 t o water and slow across rock piles. Look or warmer water 50'C and above. Good luck and be sae.

Report: Thanks to the big dogs rom Santa Clara Bass Busters have checked in with their reports. I will just add a ew extras about where. We got nice small keeper ish across rom Nacimiento Resort Marina. We went ar up the river but did not get any keepers split shotting and drop shotting. The Jig bite was air, slow walkin the jig down the bank. Main lale points did pretty well.
      City: Belmont

Tips: There is a rip and crank bite early in shallow water on main lake points.
