California Delta
-
Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished New Bass Tourney on the Delta. Pretty nice day but windy at times. My partner John Kort and I managed 10 bass and 2 striper for the day. There was no definate pattern as we caught fish on 5 different baits. We struggled through most of the day and managed to put a 16.5# limit in the boat. We thought that would probably only be good enough for a top 10 finish because the week before it took over 24 pounds to win a 100% Bass tourney. Turns out it was just as tough for everyone else on Saturday and we were fortunate enough to win the tourney by 2 ounces.
City: RosevilleTips: Once again, keep your line wet. We went 5 hours on Saturday without a fish. And then 1 hour before weigh in the window opened. P.S. Jim, what happened to you? You finished in the money and were not there to pick up yor check.
-
Water Temp: 53-54
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: My partner and I fished a New Bass tourney. Caught 3 fish and lost 1, with a couple of bites and that was it. One fish close to 4lbs other two were pound and a half. All caught on speed traps. White slough and Connection slough worked for us but not as well as we thought. A lot of others didn't that well either. Water was stained and the wind finally died in the afternoon. We ended up in 17th.
City: DelhiTips: White crankbaits and the bigger fish was caught on a delta craw speedtrap.

Water Temp: N/A
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Flipped in and around tules for about 5 hours maybe 2-3 bites but no fish landed, my buddy,"SwampBuggy", also had a couple of strikes but that is it.. Water very muddy 6" visibilty(like fishin in a mud puddle). Wind was out of control at times but for the most part bearable. Didn't see or here anyone doing any better but you never know. Disco Lemonade was skunked in the delta but we'll get'em next time. Good luck to all and god bless.

Hennessy Lake
-
Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out at about 7am ished down the ront shore line cought a nice smallmouth 3.5 pounds on a rip bait. Then we moved to the back lat area and pick up two more both largemouth about 3.5 and 2.5 pounds both on rip baits. Finaly we went back to the ront shore line and cought another smally, 2.25 pounds, also on a lucky crat pointer 78. Let lake at about 1pm had 4 ish or about 11.75 pounds. An ok day or this lake. The ish were scattered and we could not ind a pattern.
City: BeniciaTips: Fish crankbaits and rip baits shallow in the early morrning and when you come to a tule patch lip lizards (6" black and blue or watermelon with red lake). I you have cloud cover the pattern works all day and spinnerbaits works well under that situation. Once water warms into the upper 60's and the low 70's look or ish on the beds they can be ound in areas with a nice sot bottom and some small rock. The key to catching ish here is to be out early. Good luck.
