Report: Fished the BFL. Threw Zipper worms on a darthead and brown/purple jig in Bear Creek and the South end. One bite on the worm or a 2-10. Was getting bit on the jig but they were not taking it, just hit and run. Partner lost two on the worms but caught two in last 15 minutes on dropshot. Colors were green-wienie and Aaron's Magic. Good weather should crank-up (no pun intended!) the reaction bite.

Fish were relating to bolders and chunk rock. No reaction bite or me, did best on brown purple jigs and carolina rigged lizzards.

Water Temp: 51.4/54.6
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Not much to tell today. We didn't get up to the lake till about 7:00am and ished till 3:00. We started deep, out by the damn, shaking worms and caught only two small ish around 50 eet. As the day progressed we began to ish shallow using split shot 4" worms and drop shot. We caught three more ish doing this but a two pounder was our biggest. (When I say shallow I mean less then 30 eet which, as o late, seems shallow to me). Gradual points with brush seemed to work the best.
City: RiverbankTips: It looks like the ish are inally strating to move up. I'm guessing next week will be pretty good ishing. Just my cent worth.

Report: had three e-mails this am regarding the Big Daddy Special so here's the story, My riend Gary Delbridge is the original Big Daddy. He was here a ew months back and we went ishing. He knocked the heck out o the bass with this green worm. He gave me some and went home and didn't tell me where he got the worms, everytime i ran out he would send me some more. About a month ago, Gary let the cat out o the bag on the Forum and told those who read it that the Big Daddy Special is a worm made by Rainbow Worms. The color number is #99. They come in 4 inch through 8 inch. So, or those o you asking about the Big Daddy Special, that's the whole story! It is one outstanding worm and i won't be telling anyone how he taught me to rig them! jerry

Water Temp: 54 ^
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Didn't do all that well. Got a few taps with the walking worm, in orange, yes the one "as seen on TV", save your money!!. Did some drop shotting with live minnows, but bait shop (you all know which one) only had 4 jumbo's and a bunch of sickly mediums, most of which died in first two hours. But the good news is....the lake is getting full, the water is getting warm and those big ole bucket mouths are moving up. Partner got a nice 4.2lber in afternoon. its just a matter of days guys, and the bite is on!!!
City: Santa ClaraTips: talked to a few who did ok with Brush Hogs in black and orange. Fish slow, and with all the water flowing in, there is stuff floating all over, be careful. tight lines.

Water Temp: 55-58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Got out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. Spent a while looking for fish near the spawning areas with no luck. Finally moved onto the spawning flats and BINGO. Just waited to long to look where I thought they might be from the start. Only managed to land on that went about 3# and missed a couple of other bites. Never felt the 3 bite, felt like the lizzard was just dragging accross the bottom. I then noticed the line moving a little sidways and gave it a check set. Other two bites were also very soft. Fish were very shallow <2 feet of water.
City: BrentwoodTips: Looks like this nice weather has brought at least some fish up to spawn.

Water Temp: 50-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Whiskey Slough @9am and fished the rip/rap tule areas nearby for about an hour with cranks and jigs with no luck. Flipped a 1.25#er around a dock on a reaper. Nothing else in Whiskey. Went to Mildred and flipped some tule flats around there for about 2 hours with black/blue jigs and red/black jigs- nothing, not a single touch. Water temp around 53-55. I couldn't believe it. These were ideal spawning areas (1-2ft of water at low tide, good protection, sparse tules some weed). Must not be spawning yet. Fished the bottom of Mildred where the water flows in and out with crankbait (red speed trap) and a 3/8oz duh shad colored spinnerbait. Lost a 2+#er at the boat on the spinnerbait and caught a 2-3# striper (hit like a truck). Cranked and flipped in Whiskey on the way out no luck. Very slow day, maybe because of the bluebird skies and high pressure post front thing. Thanks to Terry for lending me his boat, my engine rebuild is taking months thanks to the OMC thing. Scott
City: san joseTips: Maybe the upcoming weather will put the fish on more of a bite. I saw a number of boats out did anyone have a good day, if so how?
