Report: TOUGH BITE. FISHED FROM 3-7 P.M. WITH POPS AND ONLY LANDED TWO FISH. WE MISSED TWO BITES AS WELL, BUT AS PREVIOUS REPORT SAID THEY FELT LIKE BLUEGILL OR REAL SMALL BASS. BOTH FISH CAUUGHT ON TUBES IN 20-25 FEET. WE DID SEE ALOT AND I MEAN ALOT OF FISH AND BAIT SUSPENDED 40 FEET DEEP IN 60 FEET OF WATER, BUT COULD NOT GET THEM TO BITE.
City: LINCOLNTips: DRAGGING THE TUBE IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME, EVEN IF IT WAS LITTLE SUCCESS.

Contra Loma Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Hey "D"...Hate to admit it but I have lost a little bit of interest lately as I have become increasingly frustrated with the people taking the big bass home. I love this lake and have caught many giants. It's in my backyard and am planning a trip soon. I will be switching things up a bit as I am getting back to my roots of fly fishing and will be targeting the gig gals with my new Lommis 9 weight. See you on the water.

Lopez Lake
-
Water Temp: 73.6
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A foggy morning launch at 6AM with maybe 4-5 boats already at the marina. Finally ---! A decent day at Lopez. Fisihing buddy and I headed towards the bridge and elected to stop about mid-way and toss top water. A few blowups but nothing great partner hit on a decent LG on a senko but it was off at the boat. Headed to sandflats and topwater again. Score!!Partner brought in a nice 5+ and I hit a solid three on a whacky senko. Pulled in three more and headed to Vasquez. Pulled a few off the bank, chnged up to a RootBeer Hula and the day went nuts from there. We nailed close to 30-40 fish with several in the 3-5 pound range all large blacks with one very nice 3# smallie I took on the RootBeer grub. Wind up about 11AM making it cold with the heavy fog. Fog lifted around noon with some sunshine.
City: SMTips: Fish were mostly near the shoelne in 3-6 foot. Hula Grubs in Rootbeer & Pmpkin blk flk,Robos in Oxblood and Arrons Magic were taking quality fish all morning long.

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 73-75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fun trip today from 6:45 am to 11 am with a grandpa and his 9 and 11 year old grandsons - the boys first fishing trip. We fished the middle and south forks - the south fork provided a breeze which helped the bite. We taught the kids how to cast and work a split-shot and drop-shot rig. The summer pattern is here! Lots of small spots but the 9 yr old did get one at 15 1/8 inches. We just used 6" Robo worms - sometimes biting them off to 5 inches. That offers a little more bulk than the 4 1/2 inch worms. The best color near the end of the trip was Sexy Shad. Bass were spitting up lots of bait. The colors I have mentioned in previous reports were still working also. We caught them as deep as 35 feet. Nothing too shallow. I'm sure Senkos in the flooded brush would be a killer also!
City: Yuba CityTips: I would work bigger baits for bigger fish now. First and last light will be the ticket for a few months now.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A friend an I launched out of Dissappointment and had a great day for numbers. We caught 41 bass. A couple in the 3 to 4 pound range, many 2 pounders, and a few shakers mixed in. The kicker fish still alludes me...until next time.
City: TurlockTips: Throwing senkos on rip rap banks seemed to be the most productive technique today. However, it seems like it changes from day to day for us. One day they are on a top water bite, the next, they won't touch it???

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: was wondering how long it would take to run from discovery bay to franks tract.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 78*
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got in a couple of quick days, with much better results than weeks past. Didn't fish long, but had success numbers wise with weightless yamamoto creatures/senkos in pumpkin t-rigged. Mostly cookie-cutter 2 lb'ers. Couldn't find the big un's. Best bite on and in outside weed lines in 10-15 ft. Fished Windflower side of Rattlesnake arm mostly. Nothing on topwater yet, no hits on blades, and pretty much dead-sticked the bait with a little hop or two. Hits came when the bait came free from the weeds and after it dropped and sat for a minute. No slams or taps, just loaded up. When you think you're stuck in the weeds, you've probably got a fish on. Best action in the evening.
City: Clearlake ParkTips: Go slooow. Lotsa smelly jelly. Parallel outside weed edges and toss to pockets in submerged weeds.
