Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went after the White bass and had good success. Caught 17 nice ones up the narrows, about 100 yards down from where the river comes in. Used 1/8oz. rapala's, silver and black. Saw hundreds of them in the river, not biting there, just spawning. The females are not in yet, but I am expecting them any day. I did catch the biggest male I have ever seen though. Just troll, you'll find them. Going back again on Saturday with my son and his friend.
City: SalinasTips: Troll til you find them, then troll back through again. Good luck.

Water Temp: 55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I started at sun up and left at 1:00pm. I went to deer creek first. No bit some fish suspended around 23 feet. Next I went up river no bit. Came back to Windy Gap and no bit. Finaly lost one at the boat about 3lbs. and boated one about 2 lbs. Both spots. I tryed drop shotting, spiner baits, split shotting, crank bait, and spider jigs only luck on a drop shot rig about 12:00pm in windy gap. We had a few Bass chace our lines to the boat but no commitment. Weather was great but fishing was just a tough day for us.
City: kingsburgTips: Keep Fishing.

Nacimiento Lake
-
Water Temp: 56-58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was tough at first. The water is very muddy and made it tough to figure out. Then went way back into creek arm and the water was clear from incoming water - that was the key. The fish are stacked up in the clear water. We caught quite a few fish in each creek arm and up the main river once we hit the clear water. The lake is way up and there are some awesome waterfalls.
City: San JoseTips: Spinnerbaits, inline spinners and small cranks were the trick, fished at a moderate to slow speed.

Report: Water level is 1/2 foot down on the lake, watch out above Devils elbow the river is way down(not pumping hardly any water out of Davis Dam. Small mouth bass are already moving up on beds around the main lake and some back waters on the river. Fishing pressure is heavy due to Everstart early this month, last week WON team's 50+ boats, and now WON Draw estimating around 150 boats.
City: Lake Havasu CityTips: Went out last saturday during the rain and able to get a jerk bait bite going. Five largest were over 16lb., 5lb largemouth was the kicker, the rest were smallies. Drop shotting was working but for smaller fish. Spinner baits were also working in the river(shad color).

San Antonio Lake
-
Water Temp: 50 - 58 F
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Water clarity still poor due to storm runoff. Lake level at ~ 55% capacity. Lots of large debris on surface near Harris. Caught one smallie on RI sweet beaver on pegged Texas rig, missed another fish on same; caught another smallie on 4" handpour Senko on darter head...that was it for the day!
City: BakersfieldTips: Told by park staffer to fish "rocky" shoreline areas for smallmouth, but there aren't many good rocky areas to speak of due to low water level. One fish caught along rocky shoreline, but other was caught in shallow water on isolated submerged brush, so no real pattern.

Castaic Lake
-
Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: On water about 11:00 or so. Headed to Elizabeth cyn right off the bat. Water looks like chocolate milk! Wind was whippin' on he main lake, so the coves were the only likely choice. Hooked into a good fish and lost it. Spoke to a couple of the locals, and they said that there were a few fish caught in the elizabeth cyn area on worms and spinnerbaits.
City: TehachapiTips: Don't take any tips from anyone else, get out and fish!

Nacimiento Lake
-
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water around 9am. Headed straight for the back of the narrows. The water was gin clear with about 10-12' visibility. Threw several different t-rigged plastics but not even a bite.
Turned the boat around and started fishing stained water with structure. My partner and I ended up with 9 fish between the two of us, the biggest one going 1.9
All in all it was a good day. We should've had at least three more fish each that we either missed, broke off, or got taken down into trees.
City: AtascaderoTips: Fish stained water in the narrows. Points, drop offs, blow downs, etc. Fish were tight to structure and held on when they bit.
A few more weeks of this weather and it should be really good. Hopefully the whites will start showing up in big numbers....

Tried a small brown jig, dart head combos, etc. and the fish didn't want any of it. Didn't see anyone catching fish.
